Story
Melo will be two years old I’m November 2024. She’s smart, affectionate, and energetic. She loves to run, play fetch, chase anything on a rope or string, play tug of war, play in water, and learn new tricks and skills. She needs lots of love and attention and exercise and we just aren’t able to provide that for her. She’s been to obedience school and knows many basic commands and skills. She gets very excitable when new people are around and sometimes needs a few minutes to settle down. We hate to let her go but we just can’t giver her the attention and exercise she needs.

Story
This beautiful little pup is Sugar Bunny. She is a female, 3 month old Carolina Australian Shepherd and weighs around 10 lbs. This white and apricot cloud puff is as soft as can be and incredibly sweet and very smart. She is initially shy but warms up and loves to play with her puppy friends; she is good with dogs, cats, and kids. She is working on potty skills and does well with a scheduled routine. She is a typical puppy and will need all the toys to chew and play with along with patience and understanding to help her become the best dog. Sugar needs to stay in the Dallas or Houston area so her vetting can be completed, including her final set of shots, spay, and microchip, which are all included in her adoption fee. Story
Est dob: 1/22/2019 Drax is a calm, friendly, affectionate, and very easy going guy. He’s about 4 years old and is an Australian Shepard mix. He is in a home with other dogs and has been with teenage kids as well. Drax is house broken, but always expect an adjustment when any pet enters a new environment. Unfortunately, Drax was fed way too much by his previous owners and has become a little overweight. He currently weighs in at 160 lbs which is way too much for him! He is on a vet supervised caloric diet which he has done very well with and has already started to lose some of those extra pounds! He is becoming more energetic as 4 year old dog should be, by playing more with his current foster's dog and toys. He would be a great addition to a family wanting to help him on his journey with starting off with slow short walks as he works towards his goals. Drax is in a foster home with other dogs and adults that he does well with.  Please consider making this handsome boy a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at :  https://almosthomepetrescue.org/apply-now-1  $200 adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed and size categorizations are estimates.  If transporting out of state, the total adoption cost will be $500. This amount is inclusive of adoption fee, transport fee, health certificate, and taxes.August 25, 2024, 12:08 am
