Story
This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. We have had Rusalka since birth. She loves water therefore her name means- mermaid. She is very sweet but decides to place her trust with few people. She lives on a farm and loves the open space! She is very loyal and always guards the house and its owners from deer:) Rusalka has been a very nice pet for us. We are sad to let her go: She doesn’t get along with our chickens. We would like for her to go to a good loving home .

Freya is a loyal and loving, 2 year old, mixed breed, medium sized dog who's looking for a forever home 🐾❤️. She may take some time to warm up to new people and environments, but once she's comfortable, she's a joy to be around. Freya also loves playing with other dogs of all sizes! 🐾🐶. Freya is housetrained and has good indoor manners. She is also obediant and comes when called! Freya has a history of living sucessfully with multiple children but prefers calm to chaos! Don't we all?! Can you can give Freya the stability and life long commitment she yearns for? Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Meet Brooke! She is an absolutely gorgeous smaller standard Aussie (about 40-45 lbs)! She is a little timid at first but warms up quickly. She has not been around children or cats so it will be best for her to go to a home without either. She is around other dogs in her foster home but does take time to warm up. She will be happiest and best off as an only dog. She was used for breeding and really needs a home to just give her all the love and let her be the center of attention. She loves to run and play and is a happy, sweet girl!! She will be 6 years old in July. Brooke is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and any adopter must come to Huntsville to meet her. She will not be transported on public transport.

Marmaduke is a big goofy lovebug! He adores children and other dogs. He is very curious about cats and chickens and is probably best in a home without those (or where he can be separated from them). He is about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is healed from that but needs 24/7 dog door access - he is doggie door trained. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them. If you are interested in Marmaduke, please fill out an application at our website: forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and we have determined because of his need for 24/7 dog door access he should be adopted locally in case an adopter cannot manage his condition and he must return to the rescue. We only want what is best for this amazingly sweet boy!
