Hoagie is a young, sweet, playful boy. He is currently around 2 years old. We adopted him from our local SPCA in July 2024. He is quite a mix of different breeds but is primarily australian shepherd and Australian cattle dog. He is about 55 lbs. He has adapted well to our family and our other dog. However, we are a busy household with young toddlers, and he would do better where he can be walked more and get more attention. Our kids love him and we wish we could keep him, but we think he would have a happier life where he can have more attention and 1:1 training. He is crate trained and knows some simple commands. He is up to date on all vaccines and is spayed. He is GREAT with dogs and young kids. We are unsure of cats, as he has never been around them. This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. Marmaduke is a big goofy lovebug! He adores children and other dogs. He is very curious about cats and chickens and is probably best in a home without those (or where he can be separated from them). He is only about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is completely healed from that. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them.
