Story
Meet Nora 🤍 an Australian Shepherd mix with the softest, gentlest soul. Nora is both hearing and sight impaired, but she is incredibly smart and learns new things quickly with kind, patient guidance. She experiences the world through touch and closeness, and she truly thrives when she’s near her humans while she explores and plays. When you pet her, she completely melts into your hands and soaks up every bit of affection. Nora is calm and chill, much more laid-back than your typical Aussie, and she’s an absolute dream in her crate, sleeping like a rock through the night. She enjoys human interaction, gentle play, and being guided as she learns about her surroundings. Nora is working on potty training and continues to make progress. She is a truly special dog who will do best with someone ready to offer love, patience, and connection. Story
Meet Noble! Noble doesn’t see or hear the world the way we do—but he feels it with every ounce of his soul. Although he is deaf and mostly blind, it doesn’t slow him down. This little guy is a ball of pure joy, chasing shadows, zooming around the yard, and following his favorite humans like the most loyal sidekick ever. Life with Noble is full speed, full fun, and full love. He’s a social butterfly who plays nicely with other dogs, respects his feline friends, and absolutely adores kids. Noble is still mastering “Puppy 101”—potty training, leash skills, and crate manners—but his eagerness to learn is endless. Could you be the one he’s been waiting to follow home? Story
Meet Nettie 💕 Nettie is a playful, friendly, and affectionate Aussie puppy with a heart as big as her personality. She is visually and hearing impaired, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. She navigates her world incredibly well, rarely bumping into things, and is excellent at following her humans and dog friends wherever the fun is happening. She absolutely adores kids and always wants to be right in the middle of the action and makes sure she’s not left out of anything she decides is important (or fun!) She loves playing with toys, wrestling with her dog friends, and going on long walks to burn off her happy puppy energy. Nettie is crate trained and does very well, and she has also been working hard on her house training. One extra perk of Nettie being deaf? When she sleeps, she really sleeps — loud noises, barking dogs, vacuums, and busy households don’t bother her at all. She also makes excellent eye contact, which makes training with hand signals a great option. Resources and support for sign-language-style training would happily be shared with her future family. Nettie is a joyful, loving pup who is ready to bring laughter, cuddles, and endless affection to a home that will celebrate just how special she is. 🐾💖 Apply to adopt Nettie at www.tailsofhopewi.org! Story
History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: Sweetie lives up to her name. She is full of love and ready to find her forever home. She’s got a beautiful white coat and is working on finding the right ways to show her abundance of love and happiness. Sweetie thinks she’s a lap dog and loves to lounge on the futon or the couch while snuggling her person. At 20 months she still has some puppy energy in her and burns that off playing chase with the resident dog in the backyard. Sweetie gets along well with other dogs about her same size. She doesn’t quite understand personal space and that she’s a bit bigger. She would be good as an only dog or with a sidekick to show her the ropes. Sweetie might be a bit much with younger kids but good for older kids that are active and love to play outside. Sweetie does have limited vision however she has adapted well to her foster home without accommodation. She does fine getting around without assistance and does the stairs without issues. Sweetie is still working on learning to take walks on a leash. Her vision and lack of confidence comes out. A fenced yard would be great for Sweetie. Her foster mom says Sweetie loves to run laps around the leaf piles in the backyard and has become comfortable navigating the yard on her own. Sweetie really is a sweetheart trying to live her best life. She loves to give licks and nose boops. Sweetie loves to carry her toys around the house and an occasional shoe or 2 have been found in her bed.

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: Andri (or as we call her, Lady) is the sweetest, shyest girl with the softest soul. She loves people but greets new faces timidly, often making herself small and rolling onto her back to show her belly as a way of politely saying hello. While this isn’t always an invitation for belly rubs at first, once she’s comfortable, she truly enjoys them. She has the cutest little cow-spotted belly and is quite possibly the softest dog you’ll ever meet. Andri did wonderfully at her grooming appointment and handled it like a champ. She absolutely loves being outside, even on cold and blustery days. She does great on walks and is gaining confidence every time she heads out. While she appreciates having her own space and some quiet alone time, she will seek out affection when she’s in the mood. She’s still learning the art of snuggling, but she’s making progress. She’s also starting to get the littlest bouts of zoomies! It’s so cute watching her playful side come out of its shell. One of Andri’s most endearing traits is her love for TV! Her adorable head tilts are a hoot! She has done very well with free roam of the house while her fosters are at work, with no accidents. Previous fosters shared that she was comfortable in a crate, though she hasn’t shown much interest in one recently and has done well without it. Andri is currently carrying a little extra weight, so a consistent diet and daily walks will be important to help her reach her healthiest self. In the past, Andri lived with other dogs and was reported to get a bit uncomfortable when dogs roughhoused too close to her crate. She is currently living as the only pet in the home. Her compatibility with cats is unknown. Andri would do best in a calm household with no kids or a home with older kids who understand and respect her boundaries. She truly enjoys peace, quiet, and having a bit of space to feel safe and secure. Andri is a gentle, thoughtful girl who will blossom beautifully in a patient, loving home that appreciates her calm nature and kind heart.

Story
History: Jannali is a beautiful mini aussie who arrived to rescue and surprise! Was expecting a litter of puppies. As her puppies continued to grow, we became more convinced they are aussie/poodle mixes of some sort based on their coat textures but we do not have confirmation on who dad was so cannot make any guarantees. They are a super sweet family who hopes to find their forever homes soon!
