Story
Meet Mia. A female mini Australian shepherd. She will be 5 years old this summer. We purchased her from a breeder as a puppy. She has lived with us in the woods on 5 acres her whole life. She enjoys the outdoors, loves snuggles and her evening time zoomies with our other two male dogs. She is spayed and had all the vaccines as a puppy. We did not continue vaccinations since. Mia is a bit anxious and scared which leads us to this difficult decision to rehome her. She is terrified of strangers, cars driving in the driveway and leaves falling from the trees. She gets along great with our other dogs. However she takes her herding genetics a bit too seriously. We have chickens, ducks and goats on our property, which she has chased down and bitten multiple times causing injury to the animals. Three years ago, her anxiety, has also led her to bite two men (delivery servicemen) at separate occasions. She has never bitten anyone in the family (we have two kids) or our other dogs.

Story
We adopted Sunny 2 1/2 years ago (he is 5y now) from a rescue shelter and welcomed him into our home. Sunny is very calm inside, rarely barking, and able to be left alone without damaging furniture or other property. He's a licker (he loves being petted), not a biter (never biting anyone, even when his teeth are being brushed). He loves interactive play with toys. He also loves walks and runs outside -- though he is often easily distracted by other animals and people. He is house-trained, waiting patiently to go outside to relieve himself, and can follow basic commands (e.g., Come, Sit, Out, etc.). Although he transitioned to our home very well, including interacting well with our daughters, following major family life transitions, resulting in a significant reduction in the time we're able to give to Sunny, our hope is to find Sunny a home where he can get more consistent attention, care, & training opportunities (as he's a very smart dog, learning more with consistent training).

She has a joyful, confident spirit!  She is incredibly affectionate and bonds deeply with her humans. Snuggles? Her favorite. Gentle kisses? Absolutely. Being close to her people makes her happiest. She’s also wonderfully playful—she loves exploring the yard, chasing toys she can track, and engaging in fun, interactive games. Once she learns her space, she zooms around like any happy, carefree puppy. This smart girl thrives on routine and positive reinforcement.  Her adaptable nature and loving heart make her a perfect fit for a patient, committed home that will continue helping her build confidence. Because of her unique needs, she would do best in a safe, fenced yard with a family dedicated to her. In return, she’ll give you unwavering loyalty, endless cuddles, and the kind of bond that only comes from earning the trust of a very special pup. Story
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. From Sneaker's Foster mom: I have a never-ending list of wonderful things to say about Miss Sneakers! First and foremost, she is incredibly sweet and responds wonderfully to training. She’s not only treat-motivated, but also thrives on praise—which is so easy to give, because she’s truly a good girl. She’s completely potty trained and adapts well to both a house or apartment lifestyle. Sneakers already knows several commands: sit, lay down, off, wait, and—of course—“good girl.” She’s gentle with her toys and prefers stuffed animals over puzzle toys. Her favorite snacks are biscuits, bully sticks, and meat treats—though she’s not a fan of peanut butter. She gets plenty of exercise with 2–3 walks a day (plus some running!) to help burn off energy. Behavior & Socialization: Sneakers is considered reactive, meaning she gets nervous around new people and may bark to try and keep them away. But in the short time I’ve had her, she’s already shown amazing progress with consistent, positive exposure—especially in outdoor spaces like parks, where she can take things at her own pace. She simply needs time and patience to build trust. Once she does, she bonds deeply. ‍ Bonds quickly with women ‍ Slower to trust men Would do best in a home with older kids (she’s a little jumpy and sensitive about her tail) No cats due to prey drive (not officially tested) Best as the only dog—she’s shown nervous behavior around others Her Ideal Home: Sneakers needs a calm, structured home with patient humans who’ll give her space and support as she decompresses. Once she feels safe, she is the sweetest soul. She loves: Tummy rubs Hand-holding (yes, really!) Walks in the park Sunbathing Taking treats ever so gently She’s a total mama’s girl, and I know she’ll thrive in the right adoptive home—one that sees the loving, loyal dog she already is. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. Not good with kids, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Meet Luna, a 12-year-old mini ted tri Aussie who is not ready for the old folk's home. Weighing about 35 lbs and is up to date on shots, Luna has a little arthritis but is otherwise spry and playful and would like to find a home where she can make the most of her golden years. Emulating Dorothy of the Golden Girls, Luna is pushy and opinionated, but also kind and ready for fun and adventures. She's game for playing ball, taking walks, and maybe even learning a new sport like K9 Nose Work or barn hunt. Otherwise she's happy to just chill and hang out. The little old lady that she is, Luna can be crabby with dogs that pester her so she'd do best either as a single dog or with a dog that can read her (clear and appropriate) communications and give her space. In addition, kids stress her out and she would not be suitable for a home with children younger than high school age. She's just not the grandmotherly type. Luna isn't crazy about crates, but she has excellent house manners -- no accidents, chewing, or getting into stuff. However, she's not above occasionally lolling around on the sofa. Girl likes her comforts! She also likes her groceries and needs someone who can help her watch her waistline as she needs to drop a few pounds for optimal health. Overall she's a fun little dog looking for the right person or people to share her senior years with. The details: Needs a fence: Probably not after she realizes you are her person. Good with cats: Unknown Good with dogs: Yes if they don't pester her or try to steal her stuff when she's using them (toys, chews, etc,) Good with kids: No young kids All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Story
ymphony is a stunning blue merle female with two blue eyes. Turning 2 in June, Symphony has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on shots. Symphony has a very shy, quiet personality. She came to rescue very undersocialized and really unsure of how to handle living in a home where she has freedom to move freely. Initially, she would hide in her crate and would startle at all noises, leading her to run back to her crate. Now she is showing more curiosity in exploring her environment and will now cuddle on the couch with her foster parents and foster diblings. Her first instinct is to run and hide, so she is considered a flight risk at this time. She does enjoy walks, but still does panic at strange noises. Symphony is learning that there's much to explore and her curious nature is slowly emerging. Symphony is crate trained and does love her crate. However, during the day, she is allowed to be out and about and she will hang out quietly while her foster dad works from home. Symphony is also doing well with the resident dogs; she's not really playing with them yet, but will lay quietly nearby or cuddle a bit with them on the couch. At this time, it is believed that she could do well as an only dog or with another dog who is not pushy. Symphony will need a home that is more quiet with less foot traffic and understands her need for slow introductions, extra time for adjusting to new environments, and a willingness to match her pace. She will not be a dog that will instantly bond with you and be ready for all of the adventures right away. But her heart is open and she's looking for her forever family to bond with. The details: Needs a fence: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Good with dogs: Yes if they're not pushy Good with kids: Seems fine, but probably would prefer older kids or teens who are more quiet & calm All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family.
