He may look tough, but underneath that serious mug is a sweet, sensitive soul who just wants love… and a really good chew toy. Ralphie is dog-friendly and does great with canine pals. He can be a little shy around men at first, but give him some time and he’ll warm up like a microwaved baked potato—soft, comforting, and loyal to the core 🥔❤️. This good boy is crate trained, doesn’t bark in his crate (a true unicorn), and is perfectly content chilling with his favorite hard chew toys. He’s calm, polite, and very patient—even when dressed in questionable outfits by his foster mom. Fashion icon? Maybe. Willing model? Absolutely. 📍 Currently being fostered in Fresno, CA, Ralphie is ready to find a forever home that appreciates a quiet, cuddly guy with a big heart and an even bigger head. Meet Truffle Shuffle! Who could resist this little butterball?? Truffle is a 6-year-old bulldog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s full of character—your classic bulldog girl through and through. At first, Truffle can be timid and a little skittish with new people, but with a bit of patience, she warms up quickly. Once you’re in her circle, she’ll want nothing more than to be by your side and soak up all the love and pets you can give. (Boundaries? She’s not too familiar with that word! ?) Truffle does well with most dogs, especially calmer males, but she likes to be the queen of the house. Slow intros are the way to go to make sure she acclimates smoothly to a new environment and with other dogs. Good with cats too! She is not a good fit for homes with small children. When Truffles was first rescued from the shelter, she was in rough shape—painful ear infections, bad skin, eye infections, and struggling to breathe. She’s had two major airway surgeries (common in flat-faced breeds like bulldogs), along with her spay, and is now feeling so much better. Truffles is also slowly going blind and will require lifelong eye medication to keep her comfortable. It’s important to know that bulldogs and other brachycephalic dogs need extra care, especially in the heat. Chunk is an English Bulldog who has mastered the art of couch lounging, snack snatching, and soulful gazing. He’s socially polite on walks or playdates with other dogs, but when it comes to roommates, he’s a bit of a diva. He prefers to be your one and only, or maybe chill with just one super mellow fur buddy who respects his personal space. Here’s the thing: Chunk can get overwhelmed sharing a home with other dogs, and that can make him feel a little unsafe—which sometimes leads to fear-based behavior. But when he’s flying solo? He’s the goodest boy when he is getting his daily mental and physical needs met. We do not recommend a busy home OR a home with kids for Chunk. Chunk’s not just cute—he’s accomplished. He’s spent 12 weeks training with the amazing Lee Johnson of @bespokecanine @boooshank and has a lifetime membership to the Cool Dogs Club (aka continued support from his trainer, group classes, private sessions, boarding options and priority access to a doggy swimming pool!). Demi is the Buddha of all dogs. She is calm, grounded, gentle and extremely loving to humans and dogs of all sizes and ages. She has not been tested with cats but so far does not show a high prey drive so she may be fine with them. She is housebroken, crate trained, is comfortable navigating all stairs, doesn't bark, doesn't jump up and is not interested in much physical exercise. After all she has been through she has earned the right to lounge. Demi thrives on affection. She will lay her big head in your lap and just lean in and soak up all the attention. She also loves to slump over and lay belly up for a good tummy rub. She is mouth gentle but cherishes her food so should always be fed separate as a precaution. The last month has been spent building up her immune system to prepare her for her future dual surgeries (spay and entropion) which will require her to wear the cone of shame for two weeks. The entropion surgery should help significantly with her eye issues, but she will need a pat of dry eye ointment in each eye two times a day forevermore to continue being the brown eyed beauty she is. She is an angel and just sits patiently while you tend to her. Due to her not being spayed yet Demi is available as a foster to adopt dog. Adoptions will be finalized after her spay is completed. Anybody or any family that adopts her is getting the best dog ever. She truly makes owning a dog easy. She's great for a laidback lifestyle and also for a first time dog owner. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group or private training to ensure a successful behavior.
