Story
Koda is a very happy energetic girl. She likes to cuddle and wants a ton of attention. She would do better with adults she is around my children and is great with them but dislikes other children. She has a routine of going potty in the morning afternoons, but she still likes to urinate in her bedding. I have been having difficulty training her as I believe the person that I got her from would leave her in the crate and let her pee in her puppy pads and she would sleep in them. The reason that I am letting go of Koda is because we have a seasoned schnauzer and they do not get along at all and I’m afraid that they will hurt each other. my schnauzer is seven years old and has been having anxiety since I got koda. Koda does well in the dog parks. She gets along with other dogs fine, she likes to play fight a lot and likes to play tug-of-war. Sometimes she can be a little bit too rough but listens to commands when to stop. She is very loyal and just wants to be loved. She is 1 year old

Story
Tony is an energetic male 9-month-old purebred English Bulldog. He is super cuddly, loves to play, layout in the sun, and go on short walks. He is house-trained except for the occasional accident at night, in which he will go on a pee pad. He LOVES people and is great with other dogs as he goes to daycare 1-2x a week and has been socialized since he was 8 weeks old. He is good with children, but can get really excited so will jump sometimes. He enjoys pup cups from Starbucks, cheese, and especially beef liver treats. He sleeps on the floor in the bedroom and will move to the bed if he gets cold, but mainly likes to sleep on the hardwood. He can be left alone or in a play pen when leaving your home. I am looking to rehome Tony to a family, couple, or someone who can be attentive to Tony’s needs, give him the love he gives to everyone, and has a yard to play/lay out in (not required, but preferred). He is up-to-date on all vaccines, but is not neutered yet. Overall, he is a great puppy

Story
Adorable meatball Steve came to us from a shelter with a very high euthanasia rate and we couldn't be happier to be a part of his journey to a forever family. Steve is special needs because he is hearing impaired - but that doesn't stop him from living his best life! Steve is a bubbly, playful guy. He does well with a dog companion that is hearing so he knows when to respond to commands. This little fellow is a pretty typical bulldog, so can be a bit stubborn at times but he is so cute you can't help but love him. Steve would do well in a home with bulldog experienced owners - but as far as bulldogs go, he's pretty easy breezy! He's a small bulldog making him a portable friend for all of your adventures. He's been completely non-reactive around cats so would likely do just fine in a home with kitties!

Story
Ronda is a fabulous dog~~all 52 pounds of sheer beauty! She is around 2 years of age, vaccinated and spayed. Our organization was given the opportunity to care for her when she was owner relinquished. She has been with FHSTJ since January 2024 and is now ready for adoption! Bulldogs are known for their affectionate nature. Giving her plenty of attention and care will surely keep her happy and healthy. Ronda is good with kids and other dogs. It's not uncommon for some dogs, like Bulldogs, to have a higher prey drive and not get along well with cats so it's important to supervise their interactions. If you are interested in seeing this wonderful dog and offering her a forever home please fill out our adoption application online.

I've had George since he was a 4 month old puppy. He is a great dog. George is an English Bulldogs and like all other bulldogs, needs special care. Unfortunately, I have a busy schedule and cannot give him the proper attention he needs. He is a very loving bullie and good with kids. I have two dogs and they get along great.

Story
Ellie was founf in the middle of the road and someone picked her up and dropped her off at my job at Soapy Joe’s. Since no one wanted to take her in I tried to take care of her with my girlfriend Estrella. When we first saw her she was really skinny and malnourished. She was also dirty and had fleas, so we fed and washed her. We went to the vet to see if she was vaccinated or chipped but she didn’t have anything, so we just got her a rabies vaccination. She is also scared of sticks, which may be a sign of past abuse. Estrella and I wanted to take care of her but since we are hardworking college students we both are not able to give her the time and attention that she needs. Neither of our parents want her in the house either and now we have to let her go by the end of the week. We are looking for a kind new owner or/and family that will give her all the love, time, and attention that she needs.

Story
Sweet Sadie is a fun loving, 45 lb, 3 year old Bulldog mix girl who just wants to have fun! She is passionate about her toys and her food and during her time in her foster home she has learned to love bits of sweet potato, banana, zucchini and other healthy foods as a treat. Sadie loves going for walks at cool and quiet times of the day and travels well in the car. At home when she's not enjoying a toy dismantling party or chewing on a bone or a Kong, she is a super calm couch potato. Sadie loves to meet new people and is very friendly with everyone as well as quite affectionate. She gets over excited when meeting new dogs so she would do best as the only princess in the home, and no cats for Ms.Sadie. Because she can be dog selective and over excited when seeing them, no children would be best (she would sneak out like a Ninja through a door left open!). She knows sit and shake and would love to learn some new commands - and since she's so motivated by treats, training sessions are fun for her. Sadie is crate trained and perfectly potty trained too! Sadie's Adoption fee is $300 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations. To fill out an adoption application, visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSP-A-783. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gorgeous white female sharpei mix puppy.Meet Bianca, a gorgeous, furry white female pup who was rescued along with her littermates after being found in the desert with their mama in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. Bianca is very outgoing and friendly, always one of the first of her littermates to readily approach humans for attention. She loves to play with her siblings and can be a little mouthy, but as soon as you pick her up she just melts in your arms. She was rescued when she was just a few weeks old, and grew up in a foster home with good vet care, food, and lots of love and attention. Her mama is a small/medium sized  beagle/terrier mix around 30 lbs, and we think there is some Shar Pei in this litter from the dad's side. Bianca is sterilized, vaccinated and ready to find her forever family! Meet Bianca in person! Story
Cuddly and a great companion! Howdy! My name is Charlie, and I’m a 5-year-old, 64-pound Shar Pei Mix male, looking for my furever home. I’m a special guy who is just a big cuddle bug.  I’ve already been neutered, and I’m fully potty-trained.  As far as my health goes, though, I do have some anxiety and allergy challenges.  My eyes, skin, and ears are typically affected by my allergic reactions, and because of this, I’m currently on a couple of medications.  These include: Cytopoint Injections (price varies by vet), Apoquel (~$81 for a month’s supply, depending on where purchased and market value).    I was taken in with my original owners as a TAP puppy in 2018.  Over the years, I’ve had my fair share of health and behavioral issues, but my humans were always able to manage them.  Things reached another level, though, once my humans had a baby.  Ever since, I’ve become very anxious, territorial, and protective of my baby sister.  When others are coming near or inside my home, I’ll show signs of aggression and will bark, growl, and lunge.  This has just been a really tough transition for me to make, and I don’t think I’ll be able to fully adjust.  Because of this situation, I think I’d do much better in a home where there isn’t a lot of stimulation (i.e. people coming over, young kids).  I’d also prefer to be the only pet since I’m not dog friendly, and I have a strong prey drive around kitties.  I don’t have any separation anxiety, however, and can be left home alone while at work without any issues.  I know I’d make a great companion for someone (either a single person or a couple without kids) who is looking for a lazy boy who they can cuddle with on the couch.  Someone with experience with a breed like mine (Shar Pei) would be preferred.  "The Animal Pad recognizes that taking in a new dog can pose a challenge to the entire family. Due to his size and leash reactivity, Charlie’s adoption package includes a FREE four-week scholarship with our partner Goodpup (https://goodpup.com/). Goodpup offers virtual, individualized training to ensure you, your dog, and your family have the skills needed to thrive together. GoodPup Scholarships include: 4+ weeks of positive reinforcement training 24/7 chat for questions and support Access to a behavior team to assist in advanced cases" Do you think you could be the one? If so, my adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.   ##1622634##

Story
She’s a golden girl! Oh, hay! I mean– hey! My name is Palomino. Just like the beautiful golden horses, I have a heart of gold and the energy to match! I’m a 2-year-old, 49-pound spayed shepherd mix. I previously had surgery on my left hip for hip dysplasia and now I’m galloping with the best of them! I was originally rescued from Los Adoptables south of the border. Now that I’ve trotted on up to the States, I can’t wait to find a stable... I mean, a loving home of my own! I’m a total sweetheart who gets along with other doggos, kiddos, and grown-ups alike. Sometimes I prefer a slow intro to males, but once I warm up, we’re buds. I haven’t met any cats, so I’m not sure what I think about them. I can be very playful and love car rides, my toys, walks, and going on adventures. I can also be a laid-back lady who likes relaxing for some cuddles. I’m a happy, loyal girl who loves being wherever my people are. I’m a well-behaved gal, especially when treats are on the line! I’m bathroom and leash-trained, but I’m not a big fan of the crate. I get a little separation anxiety, nothing too dramatic, and prefer being part of the pack. I’m a great listener and could even see myself as a therapy dog. I have a heart bigger than a horse! My easy-going, lovable pawsonality makes me a great pup for anyone from an active couple to a growing family. I could be with or without other pups– as long as I have my people nearby, some cuddles, and playtime, I’ll be riding high! If I sound like the perfect NEIGHbor (more like roommate) let’s giddy up and meet up! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/   ##1762387##
