Story
Meet Petunia Petunia is a 4-year-old female French Bulldog with a squishy little face and a heart that’s learning to feel safe again. This sweet girl is currently in training as she works through a few insecurities from a life that hasn’t always been easy. The good news? Petunia is making wonderful progress. She’s working with our amazing trainer who specializes in rescue dogs that need a little extra understanding and patience. Training is done gently and at each dog’s own pace, helping them build confidence and trust in the world around them. Petunia is already starting to blossom. She will soon be available for adoption and will be looking for a loving, patient home that will continue supporting her as she grows into the confident, happy Frenchie she’s meant to be. Behind those big Frenchie eyes is a loyal little companion just waiting for her person.April 18, 2026, 12:15 am

Story
The cuddliest out of 8 puppy litter. He acts like a baby with his humans, needs unconditional love and learns best with POSITIVE reinforcement. His last adopter had a pug that attacked him almost everyday, he lived in constant terror and fear. He remains loving and playful; loves tug of war with his mom and sister but turns defensive with his father. He would do best around children / submissive FEMALE(S) medium to large dogs or is the only dog in the house. He has not met a cat. My favorite activity with Negro is occasionally inviting him to sleep in my bed. He is so soft, squishy, warm and loving! He will snug up to you and he doesn’t shift around under the covers, his Frenchie snore is like a sleeping aid. He is Bilingual, understands Spanish. We truly cherish this traumatized little angle baby. Our family and his litter mates will miss him dearly, my home is no longer fit for his rehabilitation or emotional health.

Story
Alaska is a little girl who came running to the shelter to hide, we assume she was scared after being run over At first glance we saw that she had a fracture in her hind leg, her first visit to the vet was to prepare her for an amputation, since her leg was beyond repair. After her recovery, she began to prepare to find her new home, currently she already has her vaccinations up to date, she is spayed and ready. She is a very pampered dog, like a big girl, waiting for love, affection and lots of cuddles, she likes to go for walks, eager to see new places, always happy, following you everywhere. She is very curious, elated to see you, and such an adorable, smart little girl. The fact that she is missing her leg does not stop her, she runs, plays and can even jump, she has adapted quite well to her new life. She is still a puppy, she will barely be a year old, she will not grow any more, she is medium, around 26 pounds. She is very protective with her family, she loves take a nap by your side, and she likes go to walks. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. Meet Bandit! DOB: February 2024Weight: 18 lbsHistory: Rescued from a Kern County shelter when he was at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding.Meet Bandit: The One-Eyed Hall Monitor!Breed: French BulldogOccupation: Self-Appointed SupervisorSpecial Skills: Human Snuggling & Conflict "Management"His PersonalityBandit is a one-eyed wonder who doesn’t let anything get past him. He is incredibly human-friendly, affectionate, and has a headstrong personality that will keep you laughing daily. If you are looking for a dog who is truly "present" in everything you do, Bandit is your guy.The "Intervener"Bandit has a very specific hobby: he likes to be the boss of everyone else’s business. If he senses another dog is being submissive or if there’s a situation he thinks needs "managing," he will run directly into the middle of it to interject himself. He’s essentially the "Fun Police."The Good News: He isn't looking for a fight; he’s looking for control. The Reality: He needs a home that can redirect that "intervener" energy. His Ideal PackBandit currently has a roommate, Boomer, and they are great friends! They even eat their meals side-by-side in perfect harmony. Bandit thrives with:Confident Companions: He does best with dogs like Boomer—sturdy, balanced dogs who aren't intimidated and will calmly tell Bandit to "mind his own business" when he gets too pushy.Savvy Humans: He needs an owner who recognizes when he’s about to "interject" and can redirect him before he takes over the situation. No "Pushovers": Bandit will pick on dogs that are timid or insecure, so a confident sibling (or being an only dog) is a must.Life with BanditHuman Relations: 10/10. He loves everyone he meets!Manners: Excellent diner! Shares space well with respectful dogs during mealtime.Training: Headstrong but smart. He respects boundaries when they are clearly set.A Note from the Rescue: > Bandit is a big personality in a small, one-eyed package. He’s looking for a leader who can appreciate his spunk while keeping his "management" tendencies in check. In return, you’ll get a loyal, hilarious companion who will never let you have a boring moment.Pro-Tip for Adopters: Because Bandit likes to "interject," he’s a great candidate for basic focus training. A simple "Leave it" or "Place" command works wonders for a dog who thinks they need to be the boss of every room!If you're interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adoptOur dogs are located in San Diego County, CA. Story
Meet Kiddo! She is a 3-year-old brindle French Bulldog with a heart as sweet as her face. She came to us pregnant and lovingly raised her three puppies, now it's her turn to be cared for and find her forever home. Kiddo is both housetrained and crate trained in her foster home. She's a smart girl who is very treat-motivated and eager to please. She loves car rides and is always excited to tag along on adventures. Her absolute favorite place? Right next to you on the couch, soaking up all the cuddles. She gets along well with other dogs, though she tends to just ignore them and do her own thing. Kiddo is also good with kids, but she would thrive best in a calm, quieter home with older children. A peaceful environment where she can relax, lounge, and bond closely with her people is exactly what she's looking for. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Kiddo then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Thank you for joining the Adoption Family with Labs and More Rescue. We are here to help you find a furry companion. You will find our quick and easy adoption application at www.labsandmore.org and click on Adopt. Please email us at I doginfo@labsandmore.org if you need assistance. Thank you for looking to a rescue group to fulfill your dream of adding a new dog to your life! Story
Meet FrenchuaFrenchua’s story started in survival mode. He was spotted running at large through Tierrasanta, frantically racing up and down streets as if searching for someone who never came. Scared and unsure, he wouldn’t approach, instead finding safety where he could — navigating canyons known for coyotes and bobcats, crossing four lanes of traffic to reach a shopping center for food, and curling up at night on outdoor patio cushions just to rest. For over a week, the community watched and tried to help while he stayed just out of reach. But once he was finally secured, everything changed. It was immediately clear — this little guy has known love before. Beneath the fear was a friendly, gentle soul… just a bit unsure of the world. When no one came looking for him, we gave him a safe place to land — and the chance to start his next chapter. Perks  Total entertainer — goofy, playful, and full of personality Loves people and happily joins you for walks anywhere Cuddly and affectionate (and convinced he should be carried) Super smart and picks things up quickly Crate trained and settling nicely into routine Dog-friendly with proper introductions Equal parts sweet + silly = nonstop smiles Needs  Continued structure and guidance to shape puppy behaviors A home committed to training (he can be a little mouthy) No cats — he thinks they’re for chasing Adult home or older kids only Slow introductions to new dogs to set him up for success Ideal Home Frenchua would thrive in a home that can provide consistency, patience, and a little leadership as he grows into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. He’s perfect for someone who appreciates a playful, affectionate pup and is willing to guide him through his “young and learning” phase. With the right balance of structure and love, he’s going to shine. Frenchua searched the streets for someone who never came… now he’s ready for someone who will never let him go. ##2674395##

Story
FTA app: https://form.jotform.com/201793643882060 The girl with the winning smile! Hey guys! I am Sussie, Sussie Q. I am a 4 year old, female Pug mix, spayed and about 11 lbs. Heard of the Chandler 55 case? Yes, I am a part of the disabled hoarded dog pack that was rescued from the monster house. With my sweet spirit and smile, you'd never guess what I have gone through. But only when you see my vet report! It's manageable I pawmise. I have Congenital Angular front limb deformity and Chronic orthopedic condition that affects mobility in hind legs that may have been caused by soft tissue injury that has healed. I do take dasuquin  for help. As long as I am being medically managed for mobility issues no surgery is necessary, but will not know know more until later. Surgery will be my adopter's financial responsibility if it is determined it is needed later by our future established vet. Regarding my training, I am leash trained for the 5-10 min walks I take due to leg deformities. The stroller with a soft blankie is my friend! I am pee pad trained. I am not crate trained. Now coming to my personality, the best part! My mama says that I am an absolute perfection! I love playing with dogs and toys, chewing on bones and sometimes your stuff haha but being all cute about it! I am a lap dog and you'd love my snuggles. If I could climb up on your shoulders and into your skin, I would do it! We can be best mates watching tv, all cuddling and being adorable. I am quite fond of dogs, but they have to have a sweet temperament because I can be the big mama. No cats please! I am very good with kids! I do get separation anxiety where I get anxious and scream, but having another dog completely calms me. I am obviously not a hiking dog, but I do make a good cafe date in my stroller. I am always grateful for my rescue and leaving behind that house of horrors. I do a lil dance when I get a new soft blanket and my zeal is infectious. I am the absolutely cutest little nugget that everyone falls in love with when they meet. I am looking for only the best home that will spoil me rotten because that is what this little princess deserves. If there are no dogs in the home I will need humans around for companionship. Any DINK couple around that likes to bring their dog everywhere with them? I am looking for a home with the best chew bones, softest blankets, and good sunbathing spots. If you think you have that X-factor, let's go get a drink together! My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. Hi, I'm Baker! I was once a scared little pup, lost and alone on the side of a busy Las Vegas road. But lucky for me, kind people found me and brought me to safety. Now, I'm looking for my forever home, a place where I can feel loved and protected. I'm a 1-year-old mix, full of love and energy. I love snuggling up with my blanket and giving lots of cuddles. I'm a quick learner and already know how to go potty outside. I'm excited to learn about leashes and toys and explore the world with my new family. Ready to give me a forever home? Inquire about me today! We are also willing to transport him from Las Vegas to CA if needed. Please contact Rob robrhee@me.com 619-818-0754March 8, 2026, 8:45 pm
