Avali is such a happy and joyful girl! She can be a couch potato or a hiking partner, she's just happy to do whatever you are doing! She's so grateful for all of the time you spend with her, and she shows it. She lives with 2 other large dogs and 2 rabbits. She has previously lived with cats. Because of previous trauma, she needs a slow, 5-10 minute introduction to new people and dogs, but will then quickly be their best friend after that! She will do best in a home with no young children. She is crate trained, house trained, and walks well on a leash! She has been in foster for over a year now with no interest. She was originally saved from being euthanized in a shelter while she was pregnant. All of her puppies have been adopted and she is still looking for her home. Please give this sweet girl a chance. Story

Joy will be 6 on 10/21/24. She is an AKC Victorian Bulldog & certainly lives up to her name. She is a sweet, loving, and loyal dog. It breaks my heart to part with her, but we are in a complicated life situation that we could not foresee happening. We moved in Feb. 2023- sold our home (Buford) & moved in with our son & daughter-in-law (Braselton). Previously, Joy enjoyed a one-half acre fenced-in backyard to roam. She no longer has that, with limited walks. Care for my seriously ill husband at home, visiting my sister in a nursing home, & having health issue myself, has changed our lifestyle. I feel all this has become a major concern to Joy's overall well-being & necessary care I can no longer provide. She deserves, and can also still provide, many years of happiness. She truly is a wonderful companion, eager to please, loves to play/be petted. We spent little time training her, other than for housebreaking, but she is very smart.

Benny is an extremely sweet and unbelievably cute dog. He is 3-years old and loves everyone. He needs lots of love and attention. He loves balls of all sorts, his favorite is a red spiky one that squeaks and lights up. He is house-trained but does have some accidents inside. For that he just needs a lot of patience, love, and training. We got him when he was 2 and has some scars we believe are from past fights. He was attacked by another dog a few months ago while on a walk and has a scar on his leg. He loves other dogs, but we think he would thrive equally well in an only dog household. He loves children and he tries very hard to be gentle with them but sometimes he is bot spatially area of how big he is. He doesn't bark much but he does this howl-like noise sometimes. He is just so sweet and wonderful and we think he will make a great addition to any home.

Flapjack is ready for the dog days of summer and still looking for her forever home. She loves all humans of all ages and participated in multiple school events. We do believe should do best with children that are a little older in her home. Flapjack is 5 years old and just under 50lbs. She is potty trained and crate trained. She loves to play tug of war or watch tv on the couch next to you. She will roll her potato like body over for belly rubs. Flapjack would do best as an only pet but would be happy to have human siblings. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. This handsome guy is around 2yr old, and weighs 60lbs but a short guy. He is crate trained and is house trained. He has a medium-high energy level and enjoys playing with his toys and zoomies around a fenced yard. Kelso is best described as playful, silly and sweet. He is full of personality, super loving, he loves to greet you with a wiggly butt and a toy in his mouth! Treat motivated. He does well with other dogs with proper introduction. Kelso would love a forever home with a fenced yard or an active family, (he is in foster with children and has done well with them due to energy level and size older kids would be best), and a family who will provide him the resourses to continue leash skills and basic training. Kelso was saved from the euthanasia list at an overcrowded shelter. This special guy deserves a wonderful home where he will be well loved!
