Story
Hi, I'm Jack! I love to be petted and touched, so you can pet me any time... I may even ask to be petted!I am pretty low-key - I'm playful but also love a good, long nap! I am a big fan of good, strong, chew toys and can entertain myself for hours with one. I don't have a much-known history with dogs, cats, or kids, but would love to meet your current dog or children to see if we'd get along! I also think the vet can be scary sometimes.I qualify for Foster First, which means you can foster me for 14 days prior to adoption to ensure I'm the perfect fit for your family!

Story
Hi, I’m Stratford (aka Chief). I’m a 10 years young, English Bulldog. Some call me a “senior”, but I’m still so spry! I can do steps (not long flights of stairs), go on short walks, and jump on the couch for a nap without help. Did I forget to mention I am blind? Yep, AND I can still do all of these things myself.    About 5 years ago, both of my eyes got really infected and almost killed me! Luckily, a nice doctor removed my eyes and saved my life. Unfortunately, I did hit another patch of bad luck. My last family was always very busy and I had to be kenneled all day every day. I was so lonely, so I hope to find a family to hang out with me more during the day.    Since I’ve been with my foster family, I’ve learned all about the joys of napping on the couch all day. Yes, I snore. I’m a bulldog. Don’t act like you don’t on occasion.    I’ve learned to navigate the house surprisingly fast! My first week was a lot of bumping into walls, furniture, people, other dogs, you get the picture. Now I’m great at avoiding obstacles, once I’ve learned the layout. I’ve also learned where the toy basket and treats are! I may not have eyes, but I have a great nose and love to use it. My foster parents give me treat puzzles and entertaining toys like snuffle mats and toys that make noises or have scents. They keep this blind guy entertained while I watch them work at a desk all day.    I also get along with everyone! Cats, other dogs, kids. You might think I’d be skittish around new people and places since I’m blind, but I’m very relaxed and ready to go with the flow.  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  For inquiries, email to info@angelsrescue.org Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.          June 7, 2023, 5:12 pm

Story
Meet Mathilda! Mathilda is a 4 yr old purebred English Bulldog surrendered to RMG from a "breeder". When we got Mathilda, we actually thought she was pregnant - her belly was that big!! After rushing her to the vet, we discovered she wasn't pregnant but her abdomen was filled with fluid - vets drained of 1.2 liters! After lots of testing and exploratory surgery, we discovered Mathilda had a HUGE ovarian cyst that was removed. Unfortunately, pathology on the ovary did come back showing a malignancy - Papillary adenocarcinoma. Surgeons did remove the entire ovary, but there is no way to know at this time if cancer cells have spread to other areas (there is a 50% chance with this particular type of cancer) or if she will suffer a recurrence at some point in the future. Right now she is happy and healthy and could potentially remain that way for quite some time  Mathilda is an amazingly sweet little girl! She loves everyone she meets - dogs, cats, people - she's not picky. She is looking to join an experienced English Bulldog family (first hand ownership experience with purebred EBD is a strict requirement to adopt) who is looking for a couch potato BFF.   Just like 1 in 3 dogs we rescue from rural areas, Mathilda is heartworm positive. She appears to have a fairly mild case of heartworms though, so there should not be any long term affects after treatment. RMG utilizes a slow kill treatment protocol studied by Bayer pharmaceutical and all treatment medications are provided.   Interested? Story
Meet Layla, a sweet girl with so much love to give! She and her brothers came to Furkids together; her brothers have been adopted but she is still waiting! Layla has spent some time in a foster home, and has done well with dogs her size or larger who can be patient with her and her playful nature. She has a lot of puppy energy. Layla is currently in training for obedience and impulse control and is making great progress! Layla weighs 32lbs., is approximately 9 months old (est. birthdate is 6/26/2022), and her adoption fee is $175. If you want to know more about Layla and to speak to an Adoption Counselor, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. Puppies require a lot of time and commitment. Please make sure your schedule can accommodate a puppy as they will be a member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Calling all Bulldog Lovers and UGA Fans! Flapjack is a gorgeous brindle Bulldog mix that has a great personality. She is a self-proclaimed couch potato so get ready to watch the game with your new buddy. Her 2nd favorite activity is soaking up the rays in the yard, but when she is excited let the zoomie races begin. She will crack you up once she starts running with her tongue wagging in the wind, I promise she will keep you smiling. She would make a great family dog as she loves children, and she has spent time with a trainer, so her manners are great. Flapjack has one request and that is to be the only pet, she needs all your attention on her. She is the perfect Georgia package, so grab you snacks and meet Flapjack at the couch for some snuggles and the game. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. Story
Teddy is about 9 years old and a very calm, sweet-natured dog. Our kids are nearly grown and we travel extensively for work, leaving Teddy without much companionship. We posted Teddy for adoption some months ago and paused to try to adjust our schedules, but have not been successful. We are ready to give Teddy a new home immediately. He knows simple commands, is obedient and very loving. He respects property and commands and is a wonderful dog whom we will miss but deserves more attention and time from his new owner.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Augie was rescued from a rural county shelter where he was found as a stray. He was heartworm positive on intake and has been on the slow kill method since September of 2022. He is dog friendly with proper introduction but would likely do best in a home with a female or submissive male. He needs a ranch style home or condo/apartment with an elevator as he cannot handle stairs, sadly.
