    Hattie Lucky is as sweet as she is adorable! This small English Bulldog mix is the perfect size at 35 pounds. She is happiest when she can be with her person and will follow you from room to room, in case you want to stop and give her some pets and kisses. Hattie Lucky is young, so she still likes to chew on things, but is learning that dog toys are the best chew toys. She's house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. She would do great as an only pet, but she also loves to play and enjoys playful dogs. If your dog would rather just be left alone to snooze on the couch, she's not a good match because she will drive him or her crazy trying to play.    It's important to note that she does not like to share food with other dogs and should be fed separately and not given access to the kitchen during meal prep and family dinner if she has a doggie sibling. If she's the only dog, she has no problem being around humans while they are preparing and eating their food. As is common for English Bulldogs, she will likely have higher vet bills than the average dog so do your research and then apply to adopt this little snuggle bug if she sounds like the one for you. Flapjack is ready for the dog days of summer and still looking for her forever home. She loves all humans of all ages and participated in multiple school events. We do believe should do best with children that are a little older in her home. Flapjack is 5 years old and just under 50lbs. She is potty trained and crate trained. She loves to play tug of war or watch tv on the couch next to you. She will roll her potato like body over for belly rubs. Flapjack would do best as an only pet but would be happy to have human siblings. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Could there be a more magnificent, wrinkly, mushy, chunk of a wiggle butt?!? We think not! Kelso was living on the streets of Atlanta and got himself a reputation as being a collector of "fine artifacts". He made a little pile of items that he collected: shoes, a traffic cone, pieces of garbage, etc. We guess in a way that was his way of having a home, by having a place for his stuff. :( He was finally caught by animal control and was not a fan of being in the shelter (what dog is?!?). Luckily for him he was sprung by a wonderful foster, and when Rescue Pals heard about him and saw his photos, we just had to help him and make sure he never ends up back in a shelter again! Kelso is a silly and loving big - yet short! - guy. He is in a foster home with other dogs and with young kids and does fine with everyone! He is young and playful and would probably enjoy a doggie sibling to roughhouse and run around with. Even though he's been great with kids, we recommend older ones for his forever home, just because of the possibility of him accidentally knocking little ones over. He is like a little bowling ball! This boy is STRONG, and he does need some work on the leash, so we would love for him to have a fenced yard where he can get some exercise while he hones those leash walking skills. Puddin is a little clown, always playful and ready to give kisses. She loves everyone including dogs and children. Born 7/16/2018. She is a 5 year old retired breeding mom. She is friendly and gets along with other dogs.  She is not completely housetrained. We are working on it. We are looking for a home who has experience with bulldogs and prefer someone who also has experience with retired breeder parents.
