Story
Avali is such a happy and joyful girl! She can be a couch potato or a hiking partner, she's just happy to do whatever you are doing! She's so grateful for all of the time you spend with her, and she shows it.   She lives with 2 other large dogs and 2 rabbits. She has previously lived with cats. Because of previous trauma, she needs a slow, 5-10 minute introduction to new people and dogs, but will then quickly be their best friend after that! She will do best in a home with no young children.   She is crate trained, house trained, and walks well on a leash!    She has been in foster for over a year now with no interest. She was originally saved from being euthanized in a shelter while she was pregnant. All of her puppies have been adopted and she is still looking for her home.    Please give this sweet girl a chance. Call or text 678-572-3173 or email bucketsoffundogtraining@gmail.com for more information!  ##2039213##

Story
Flapjack is ready for the dog days of summer and still looking for her forever home. She loves all humans of all ages and participated in multiple school events. We do believe should do best with children that are a little older in her home. Flapjack is 5 years old and just under 50lbs. She is potty trained and crate trained. She loves to play tug of war or watch tv on the couch next to you. She will roll her potato like body over for belly rubs. Flapjack would do best as an only pet but would be happy to have human siblings. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Benny is an extremely sweet and unbelievably cute dog. He is 3-years old and loves everyone. He needs lots of love and attention. He loves balls of all sorts, his favorite is a red spiky one that squeaks and lights up. He is house-trained but does have some accidents inside. For that he just needs a lot of patience, love, and training. We got him when he was 2 and has some scars we believe are from past fights. He was attacked by another dog a few months ago while on a walk and has a scar on his leg. He loves other dogs, but we think he would thrive equally well in an only dog household. He loves children and he tries very hard to be gentle with them but sometimes he is bot spatially area of how big he is. He doesn't bark much but he does this howl-like noise sometimes. He is just so sweet and wonderful and we think he will make a great addition to any home.

Story
My name is Goose Caboose. I am an almost 2-year-old, 50+  pound  English  Bulldog. And, yes, I know I am a good-looking guy. So, let me tell you about myself: I'm playful and friendly, but I'm not the cuddly type; however, I'm full of love for my people. So, I'm looking for a home with adults where I can be the only animal in your life, without any other dogs, cats, or little people.    About me, I like to be with you when you cook in case you drop something, and I like to lie at your feet while you work at your desk. And while I'm not as active as other breeds, I am always up for a stroll around the neighborhood.   I am a goofy and sweet guy, but my breed can be a little stubborn, so I probably need an owner with English Bulldog experience. You also need to know two things:  - One - My breed has some specific health issues, but my foster mom will explain them. - Two - I'm an English Bulldog so I can be a little stubborn, okay, maybe a lot stubborn.  But remember, I am a handsome guy, and that outweighs my stubbornness, right?    So what do you say? Are you interested in meeting me? Fill out an application!    An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          July 24, 2024, 3:04 pm

COURTESY POST - PLEASE FILL OUT AN APP BY CLICKING THE LINK WITH RESCUE PALS INC TO MEET/ADOPT KELSO  https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GARP/Dog   Kelso is a striking young bulldog mix. This handsome guy is around 2yr old, and weighs 60lbs but a short guy. He is crate trained and is house trained. He has a medium-high energy level and enjoys playing with his toys and zoomies around a fenced yard.  Kelso is best described as playful, silly and sweet. He is full of personality, super loving, he loves to greet you with a wiggly butt and a toy in his mouth! Treat motivated. He does well with other dogs with proper introduction. Kelso would love a forever home with a fenced yard or an active family, (he is in foster with children and has done well with them due to energy level and size older kids would be best), and a family who will provide him the resourses to continue leash skills and basic training. Kelso was saved from the euthanasia list at an overcrowded shelter. This special guy deserves a wonderful home where he will be well loved! Kelso is neutered, fully vaccinated, and up to date on his vaccines.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 24, 2024, 1:57 pm

Story
Meet Peaches We named her Miss Peaches because she is just the sweetest thing. A lovely name for a lovely dog. But nothing about Peaches’s life has been lovely. We don’t even know if this darling had a name before we pulled her from an overcrowded Animal Control. Her previous owner kept her chained in the backyard, breeding her as often as her little body would allow to sell her puppies. Once she wasn’t useful, she was turned into the AC as a “stray,” but the lies quickly fell apart. Hopefully, action will be taken against the owner for the trauma and neglect Miss Peaches suffered, but our main concern is showing Miss Peaches that she is safe, loved and will never again be tied up outside exposed to all sorts of weather, animals and harm. And she will never have her puppies ripped away and sold ever again. What she’s experienced is heartbreaking, but it’s time to turn towards the positive and focus on Miss Peaches’s future. Peaches is about four to five years old. She is a full-blooded English Bulldog. Since arriving to our no kill shelter, she is soaking up all the love and attention being showered on her. She welcomes pets and ear scratches. She seems a little in awe that there is so much kindness in the world. Peaches is calm, stoic, friendly, and affectionate. She loves being in the company of people. She is fine with other dogs, as long as they don’t get overly pushy with her. She is very tolerant and easy-going. Peaches does well in a crowd. She will love to go on adventures to wineries and cafés. She’s just happy to be included. Peaches is compact in stature, weighing 40 lbs. She has the typical smooshy English Bulldog face, simply kissable. She walks easily on a leash and travels well in a car. She’s most likely not potty-trained, but we’ve learned adult pups learn quickly if trained with patient consistency. This little angel deserves a wonderful home with soft blankets, a full belly, and lots of love and kindness. She will love to be someone’s companion and we can see that she quickly bonds with her people. She is precious and we love her already. We’re grateful we had the ability to rescue Miss Peaches and bring her to the safety of our no kill shelter. For Miss Peaches it’s blue skies ahead. We’ll search for the softest of landings for this little nugget. If interested in adopting Peaches, please submit an application online at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org If you submit an online application, please email or call us so we can verify we have it. Our email is smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net.  Phone: 706-865-4135 All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.als waiting for space to open. Adoptions and meet and greets are being scheduled by appointment only.
