Hey there, I’m Wilbur! True to my hound roots, I’ve got a lot to say—I’m a talkative guy with a big voice and an even bigger personality. I’m playful, full of energy, and always ready for the next adventure, whether it’s a romp in the yard, a walk with new friends, or just showing off my goofy charm.I love people and enjoy making doggy friends, too! I just need to meet any future four-legged siblings first to be sure we’re a good match. With my friendly nature and zest for life, I know I’ll keep you smiling (and maybe laughing at my silly hound songs). If you’re looking for a fun, social, and lively companion, I just might be your guy—come meet me, and let’s start our story together!

Story
Did you ever want a lab that wasn't a labby lab? Or a Coonhound that wasn't quite so big? Or a beagle that wasn't quite so small?! Dory (also called River) is the girl for you! Dory looks like a (medium-ish) hound. Dory sounds like a (large-ish) hound even. But Dory, is SO much more than just a hound!  Dory is crate trained and potty trained and walks well on a leash. She LOVES to play fetch and seems utterly ambivalent to dogs. She's happy to be friends, or just aquaintences. Dory is kid friendly, has never met a person she doesn't like, and is up for any adventure! You can bathe her, clip her nails and expect her to cooperate at the vet. Dory is not particularly a fan of cats. They move a bit too fast and are too fun to chase.  Dory is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and had a vet well visit. Dory has some mild anxiety around storms and fireworks, but is happy to snuggle up under a blanket and ostrich her way through it. She is fine in the car.  If intersted in giving this little fluffy girl a home, please visit our website at www.4pups.org and complete our application of interest by clicking the Adopt button under Ginger's picture. We will contact you after receipt of the application to go over any questions you might have and discuss next steps. ##2505277##

Story
Meet our sweet natured boy Afton! He is now 2 year old and believed to be a bloodhound blend on the smaller side. He is fully grown at about 50 ish pounds. He is AMAZING! EXTREMELY SMART and enjoyable! He can be stubborn at times but nothing that can’t be managed, so patience is merited. Afton is well-mannered and eager to pleasefriendly happy go lucky and so darn sweet! He enjoys group play, daily pack walks, and meeting new people and dogs. Afton is amazing with dogs of all ages and sizes, cats too. He is very outgoing and amazing with children too. Afton is a follower if a dominant dog is present. He is active but not hyper and genuinely happy. Afton will make an extraordinary family dog with an active affectionate outgoing family. He has a hound-like personality. He is all heart! Basic obedience extraordinaire. He enjoys being active and learning and is extremely food and praise motivated. Afton makes training FUN! He Is a simple dog with a big heart full of love and ready to share it with everyone he meets. You will have fun with Afton. He knows how to make everyone smile, and laugh, and helps a difficult day become better. It comes naturally to him as he is very nurturing and sweet natured. Afton needs another dog in the home. He is a hound this alone makes him almost perfect. I promise you will not be disappointed. Afton is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, corona as well as rabies, de-wormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention. Updated: 3/25/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient. Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative. E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application. All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. If the dog had additional medical issues, those have also been addressed. Visit our website www.waldosmuttleycrew.org for more information and to complete an application. Ogden, or Oggie Doggie as we like to call him, has such a zest for life!!! He loves people and attention ... armpit scratches and ear rubs are a favorite of his!!! Oggie is a 2 year old treeing walker coonhound/pointer mix weighing about 65 lbs. He LOVES to play with other dogs and is constantly involved in games of chase and wrestling. He is slightly dominant with males so, although he does play with other males well, would do best in a home with a playful girlfriend. Oggie is high energy so needs a large yard with at least a 5 foot fence; he can easily jump over anything shorter and will do so if he spots a bunny. He loves toys but is a "slayer" of the stuffed ones; they then have to be buried in shallow graves in the yard. LOL! Ogden is sure to keep you laughing with his antics; he has such a huge personality! His perfect home will be one where he won't have to be crated for long hours, a large yard with a 5 foot or higher fence, and must have a very playful female dog to be his best friend. Oggie Doggie's adoption fee is $225; he's neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Applications are available at waldosmuttleycrew.org .
