Meet Cooper Cooper is one of those dogs who doesn’t ask for much—just his people, a cozy spot to relax, and a peaceful place to call home. He has a calm, easygoing personality and truly enjoys the quieter side of life. Whether it’s lounging by your side or soaking up some gentle affection, Cooper is happiest when he’s with his people.Cooper is well-mannered and ready to settle right into a home. He is completely potty trained and crate trained, making him an easy addition to any family. He gets along great with both large and small dogs, does well with kids, and honestly… cats? He thinks they’re pretty cool too.Cooper loves attention and affection, and he soaks up every bit of love he’s given.Rescue Only Cooper is currently rescue-only. He was part of a case worked by our Animal Control Officers, and because of that, he is not available for public adoption. He will need to be transferred through an approved rescue partner.If you are a rescue organization interested in giving Cooper the second chance he deserves, please contact the shelter for more information. Amber and her sister, Margot, were dumped, and luckily, not like so many other dumped dogs that get killed or starve, they were picked up by someone in rescue. They have been together all their lives, and we would love to see them stay together if possible. So, please check out Margot too if you are interested in this sweet girl.Amber lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone. The girls sleep and eat in the same kennel and love to cuddle together. Amber has good house manners and is crate trained. She loves attention, even if she is a bit timid with new people.She is fully vetted, current with vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.

Margot and her sister were picked up as strays. Luckily, someone found them before they starved or were killed. She and her sister, Amber, have been together their entire lives, so we would love to see them adopted together, if possible.Both girls are athletic, but Margot so much that she can jump and climb over the fences at her foster home to go where she pleases. Luckily, she stays on her property and goes into different areas to play with the other dogs or her foster family. Her foster has not worked on trying to keep her contained, but this would be a concern until she could adjust to her new home; she does have excellent recall. We have a portable containment system to send with her for someone willing to work with that training.Margot lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone, including the livestock rescues. She has good house manners, is crate trained, and is working on walking on a leash.She is fully vetted - current with vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartwormprevention.

Bucky is a 2.5-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd / Croatian Sheepdog mix looking for the right home. As we prepare to welcome our first child this year, we've realized that Bucky would be happiest in a home that can continue providing the calm environment, structure, and attention he thrives on. He is affectionate, loyal, playful, and loves being close to his people. He enjoys cuddling, tug-of-war, fetch, learning new commands, baths, munching on ice cubes, spending time outdoors, and having jobs or tasks to do. He's very intelligent, "talkative," house-trained, crate-trained, fixed, fully vaccinated, and knows many commands including sit, lay down, shake, toy, and potty. Our goal is to find a loving home that understands his needs. Bucky would likely do best with an experienced owner in a calm, adult-only home. He bonds deeply with his family but can be anxious around unfamiliar people, children, and dogs. Slow introductions are important, and he would likely thrive as the only pet.
