Story
This sweet girl is a big bundle of love and energy. We adopted her from the garland animal shelter not knowing anything about her breed, as we were told she was a GSD mix. She LOVES kids and gets along with most dogs. She needs a backyard to run around in(we live in an apartment), as she just wants to be outside all the time. We love her, but she deserves something better than what we can give her.

Story
Dahlia is a loving, loyal, and very goofy girl. She is always down to play with her favorite toys, a racquet ball or tennis ball, squeaky stuffed animals or a cardboard box, she just loves to play with you. She also loves to run so a yard is a must. At night after a long walk, she loves to cuddle on the couch and sleep until it’s time for bed. Dahlia was adopted July 2022 and was a little over a year old, so i think her birthday is about June 2021. She is anxious around other dogs so would need to be the only one in the house, but I think with time and training, it’s fixable. She was attacked so she is skeptical of unfamiliar dogs. She has never been around a cat so i’m not sure how she would react around them. As for children, smaller children make her nervous since they’re so close to her face and she can get a little over excited and jumpy so it’s best to have older kids in a house. Dahlia now knows sit, down, stay(sometimes), still learning “come” but she loves learning. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Dahlia is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.May 25, 2023, 3:49 pm

Story
Cocoa is a 10 year old Australian Kelpie. She came into our family when she was 2 years old from a local city shelter. She is a loving dog who loves to kiss and snuggle and is also a good guard dog. She loves to swim and can definitely be described as faithful-to-owner. I selected behavioral issues as to why she needs a new home though that can be misleading. I live in a house that is divided in two and her barking is problematic given the space in which she lives

**THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING AND IS NOT A DOG IN THE EPIC PROGRAM**   Loki, or Mr. America as our vet calls him, is the coolest, sweetest pup!   As you can see from his photos, Loki has not always been treated well. Due to no fault of his own, he was chained from puppyhood to just last year, when his family finally surrendered him because they were moving. Lucky for Loki, he's an indoor pup now! He's regrown all of his sun bleached hair, has been potty trained, neutered, vaxxed, and has even been to the dentist to remove some of his teeth that were broken from when he would try to chew off his chain. He's come so far, learning to participate in life now instead of watching the world pass him by. He loves car rides, puppacinos, playing with his toys, and most importantly loves people. He would make an excellent companion for an active couple or single. Loki does not like cats. He gets along with most other dogs, but can be selective. Estimated to be around 7-8 years old, though still very energetic and enthusiastic (always smiling!) Please consider Loki if you're looking to spoil a loving, silly pup - we need to make up for Loki's lost years. He deserves it!      Please contact Jenny Chism at jenlchism4601@outlook.com / (806) 626-1173 if you are interested in knowing more or meeting Loki!  May 27, 2023, 1:00 pm

Story
Lady is a total sweetheart looking for her forever family. She is BEAUTIFUL, likely an Australian Kelpie/Shepherd mix. 45lbs, spayed, up to date on shots. She was very scared in the shelter and is quite timid/shy but very loyal to her people. She is happiest lounging near you either in the yard or on the couch. She is fostered with two other dogs and apathetic to other animals. She has not been cat or kid tested but we are thinking a quieter home will be great match for her. She can get anxious when separated too long from her people so we don't recommend leaving or crating her for longer periods of time. Reach out with any questions! You can apply to adopt on Salvaged Souls Pet Rescue website: https://www.jotform.com/form/91504672191153

Story
Outgoing and happy GabbyGabby is such an adorable, outgoing and sweet girl.  It’s hard to believe that just few months ago she was on the last call list at a local shelter because pickup doggy cough there.  Of course, we had to save her and get her well and on the road to her forever home.  Gabby is in a foster home with other young and adult dogs, and she loves playing and hanging our with her friends.  She is potty trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, travels well in the car.  Gabby has a goofy and adventurous personality. She is friendly with everyone she meets.  She love hanging out her family watching TV while chewing her bone. She has an adorable talk (while we think she might be part husky).  Gabby would make a great companion to someone who likes weekend hikes and weekday movies.  *Not apartment appropriate* The adoption fee includes spay, microchip, 3 sets of vaccinations, dewormer, microchip registration, rabies and  HW prev.  If you are interested in adopting, visit our website and complete an online application today: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society Age:  12 months old as of 041-2023 Weight: approx 55-60 lbs full grown We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Everyone meet malibu! The best dog a girl could ask for. Unfortunately, I can’t give her the life she so much deserves so I’ve come to the difficult decision to rehome her. She deserves the world so I would love her to go to someone who loves animals and has time for her. She has a protective/aggressive side but, has a vibration collar to help with that, she does amazing with it. She’s good with SMALL dogs but not big ones and needs a home with NO kids. She needs a backyard to run around as she has A LOT of energy which is where I think her aggression comes from. Having a yard to run around in will eliminate this problem. She does shed a lot so she needs to go to someone who doesn’t mind hair! She’s truly the best dog. I love her to death and have had her for 4 years since she was a puppy. But I know she deserves more. She’s kennel trained and will go in her kennel when you say “time for bed” or “time to go bye bye”. She LOVES balls and playing fetch and loves being around you.

Story
Dusty is a driven but loving lap dog. He is very loyal to his person, and gets along well with his two pup siblings that he grew up with. He is shy, has thunderstorm anxiety, and is nervous around new dogs and people, but will warm up if you play fetch with him. He loves to run, play, but also lay in his bed, on the couch, or on your lap if you’ll have him for some butt scratches. He is 6 years old, neutered. I feel like he would thrive as an only-dog companion. We are also rehoming his fur-sister Rosie the red heeler. Can go together or separately.
