Story
Amber and her sister, Margot, were dumped, and luckily, not like so many other dumped dogs that get killed or starve, they were picked up by someone in rescue. They have been together all their lives, and we would love to see them stay together if possible. So, please check out Margot too if you are interested in this sweet girl.Amber lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone. The girls sleep and eat in the same kennel and love to cuddle together. Amber has good house manners and is crate trained. She loves attention, even if she is a bit timid with new people. She is fully vetted, current with vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.

Story
Margot and her sister were picked up as strays. Luckily, someone found them before they starved or were killed. She and her sister, Amber, have been together their entire lives, so we would love to see them adopted together, if possible. Both girls are athletic, but Margot so much that she can jump and climb over the fences at her foster home to go where she pleases. Luckily, she stays on her property and goes into different areas to play with the other dogs or her foster family. Her foster has not worked on trying to keep her contained, but this would be a concern until she could adjust to her new home; she does have excellent recall. We have a portable containment system to send with her for someone willing to work with that training.Margot lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone, including the livestock rescues. She has good house manners, is crate trained, and is working on walking on a leash. She is fully vetted - current with vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartwormprevention.

Story
Let’s go Eevee! This fun, energetic girl will Pokémon-go with you on any adventure. Eevee is a rambunctious bundle of energy that would fit in great with a family that gets outdoors or has space for her to run around at home.   She is a bit of an attention hog, so she will do best in a single-dog home, but she has lived with both a cat and a dog and may be able to settle in with the right animal friends with enough time and training.   Eevee needs animal companions that are respectful of her space when food is out, or to be fed separately. Eevee plays hard, so similar sized dog friends may be best. Eevee has lived with a toddler for two years, but may be better with older children after a slow introduction given her size and play style.   Eevee cries in the car, but is calmed with some medication that will be provided to the adopter. She is smart and very trainable. Earlier in her puppyhood, Eevee did a 3 week board and train and has some basic obedience training that, while rusty, could easily be honed further. She’s showed aptitude for agility-style courses, and can be convinced to do most anything with the right treats.  She is house and crate-trained, and spayed, microchipped, is current on vaccines and heartworm negative. Stay tuned for more photos and info as we get to know Eevee.  Fee is $275. Please apply online if you're interested: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Found dumped near a warehouse in a box, so young there was no way they would survive. Because someone stepped up this little Sesame Street family has a chance. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. Look at this adorable, fun-loving gorgeous tri colored boy! Just as sweet as he is good looking. Smart as a whip. Friendly with all people and other dogs. Ready to smoosh his way into your heart. Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Berne, means 'bear-like' and this boy is so cute and has the waddle of a bear! As cute as he was we noticed something else was going on with this boy besides being a tail-less wonder. His back end seemed smooshed. We got him checked out, after x-rays and evaluation he has a compressed spine. This is common in some breeds. We don't know his breed but it will be something he has forever. He is not in pain and still acts like a normal puppy. As he gets a little bigger, we will see if there are any remedies or treatments that might help him but we do suspect he will live a happy life and would be an awesome addition to any family. He may need to be in household with older kids so he doesn't get knocked around. He is potty trained. He is doing great with crate and leash training. He loves tug of war, bully sticks and pestering his older foster siblings. He has spurts of energy a couple times a day, doesn't last long and otherwise very chill! Vet suspects he will get to 30 pounds. This sweet boy was found as a stray in a park. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Lilah is a sweet, energetic, angel of a dog. She is so kind and loving and has never met a person or animal she doesn’t like. She has lots and lots of energy and will cuddle up in your lap after a long day of running around. She has been a wonderful dog. While with us, she’s never had any health issues, has never been mean and has met everyone who’s entered our home with lots of love. The reason we’re looking to rehome her is due to my wife’s health complications. Shes been in a long journey of complicated and difficult health issues. When we first got Lilah, they weren’t nearly as bad as they have gotten now. We do not have the ability to give Lilah the attention and love she deserves and it has been difficult for my wife to navigate with an energetic dog, as sweet as she is. Rehoming her really seems to be the best thing for all parties. But we are very particular with the home she goes to. We want to make sure it is right for everyone involved.
