Story
Taiga is a loving, obedient, and loyal dog who enjoys walks, naps, and playing with other dogs. She began wandering through the neighborhood where her foster lives, approaching gently each day for food. She had several pregnancies while living outdoors. One day she settled in the front yard and gave birth to a single puppy. Then her foster decided it was time to bring her inside so she could finally be safe and cared for.Taiga is friendly, social, and an excellent companion. Her ideal home includes other dogs, active people, and a yard. She should not live with cats or small animals she might view as prey. She is ready for a family who will appreciate her calm loyalty and sweet nature. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. BEST WAY TO INQUIRE, EMAIL Adoptions@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG 2 yr old tricolor M/N Kelpie/GSD mix Looking for a dogs dog?? Gunner is your guy! He was comfortable enough around me, allowed touch, took treats, interacted some with me, but he really really wanted to play with the big dog in the next yard. He wasn't aloof though! Took treats gently, eager to please and loved being called a good boi, it was a fun yard time for both us us He does seem to be feeling the stress from the shelter, some have had some trouble getting him out of his kennel but he was perfectly behaved for me. This is an active breed, he will need consistent physical and mental exercise to be happy, it is likely what is causing his current stress and occasional barrier reactivity. It is worth noting that he was a very loud bork monster when I first approached his kennel but after 3 treats he was ready to follow me anywhere I was going Knows how to sit, walks well on the leash (just a tiny bit of pulling) and seemed potty trained!! ##2528145##

BEST WAY TO INQUIRE, EMAIL CONTACT@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG Ceasar is a 15mth old altered male kelpie mix Ceasar Hey, I’m Ceasar. I’ll be real with you — I’m still figuring this whole “new people” thing out. Meeting strangers makes me nervous, and if I feel cornered, I might snap. But here’s the thing: once I get to know you and trust you, my softer side comes out, and I can relax and be myself. The good news? I get along with dogs way easier than I do with people! They help me feel comfortable and confident. With patience, training, and someone willing to go slow, I know I can keep improving just like I did with my foster. If you’re the type of person who believes in second chances and helping an underdog shine, I’d love to be your project pup and, eventually, your best friend. ##2498991##

Story
Location - in a foster home. From his foster parent:If I`m home, he does whatever I`m doing and follows me around to see what`s going on. He also loves looking out the window or sitting on the deck to watch the world go by. He is very aware of everything that is going on nearby. He appreciates frequent play breaks, like a good game of fetch or tug-of-war. He is also down for a good midday nap. If I`m not home, he hangs out in the bathroom and I feel very comfortable leaving him alone. He doesn`t destroy things and doesn`t dig in the trash. He has excellent house manners! He does like to sleep on the bed or couch, which I also like. He can be very snuggly when sleeping at night and if it`s cold, likes to get under the covers too. Mylo is very playful and will try to sell you on a game of fetch whenever he sees the opportunity. He loves a durable stuffie and bonus if it squeaks. He also loves catching balls, tug-of-war with ropes, or working on a toy with hidden treats inside. He loves to be engaged, so any activity that keeps him active and his mind working is great. He also appreciates a good brushing session. He will even ask to be brushed if I forget to do it enough. Mylo LOVES to ride in the car and will sometimes air chomp at passing cars, which is really cute. One of the things I`ve been most impressed by with Mylo is his ability to communicate with me. Sometimes I feel like we are having actual conversations. He is so smart and will let you know when he needs or wants something. Another way he communicates is if I`m rubbing his belly and stop, he`ll hook my hand with his paw and bring it back to his belly for more scratches—so sweet. His most unique quirk is his love of pens, especially pens that click. He gets so excited every time he sees one in use and watches it so intently and with overflowing enthusiasm. It is hilarious! He also gets really excited about the rice cooker, hair dryer, and vacuum. Mylo is such a charmer with an engaging personality and a tender heart. I love him so much! The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. Story
The first thing you should know about Monkey is that he is not actually a dog. He is, in fact, a tiny monkey disguised as a dog. We realize this sounds unlikely, but we have evidence. For example, Monkey firmly believes that every day should include a little bit of everything: playing, exploring, sunbathing, cuddling, running around for no apparent reason, and then taking a well-deserved nap. This is a very sophisticated lifestyle that he has perfected over time.Monkey is an expert in the art of relaxation. He enjoys stretching out in warm patches of sunshine and supervising household activities from the comfort of the couch. However, do not be fooled by this peaceful appearance. At any moment, he may suddenly remember that he is young and full of joy, at which point he will launch into a spontaneous zoomie session around the house or yard.Additional observations of Monkey in his natural habitat, along with photos and video evidence, can be found here:https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/monkey-2025076d/He loves other dogs, enjoys walks, and is happiest when he has people nearby to share life with. In fact, Monkey believes companionship is one of life’s greatest inventions.Like many great adventurers, Monkey has faced a few challenges along the way. Last year he suffered a leg injury that required surgery. The good news is that he has recovered beautifully and is now ready for the next chapter of his life: finding a family who will appreciate his unique combination of silliness, loyalty, affection, and excellent couch-sharing skills.Monkey is kennel trained, loving, and endlessly entertaining. All he needs now is a forever home where he can continue his important work of spreading happiness, one zoomie at a time. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
**Lucas is currently being fostered in Houston TX but is available for out of state adoption via rescue transport at no added fee to adopters. We offer video chat for you to meet your pup prior to committing to adoption, and have a guaranteed return process for all our dogs** Lucas is your all around adventure pup who loves to run, play, swim, repeat! This dog has a ton of energy and just loves to be right beside his human best friend! He was found as a stray on the streets of Houston TX, where he was rescued by a good Samaritan who made sure he was safe, and vetted. Unfortunately, they didn't have a lot of space and Lucas started to get anxious being in such confined spaces with no way to run. Being the breeds he is, this caused him to mentally deteriorate a little and thus he was brought to us. Lucas has since settled in beautifully now that he has land to run in, friends to play with, toys aplenty and all the water time he could ask for. While he can be a little needy at times, we don't blame him given the confined spaces he endured before being brought here. Anyone who loves to run and was cooped up for as long as he was would be! However, he has really started to thrive with the right environment. Lucas is a very intelligent dog who is eager to please and quick to learn. He picks things up quickly, and is bold and confident in his learning style so it doesn't take much at all. Treats, toys, a good belly rub, all are equal enough to him to work for and he definitely will work for it! He is crate trained, and has done well to introduction to all things home life. He really loves toys, and is constantly looking to play, fetch, run, and seek all the fun things! He also really loves the water, and any chance he gets he is in the pool, which, given how hot the summer has been we don't blame him! He would do great with a family looking for someone to inject energy and life into the home. He is 100% a persons dog, and would do best with someone who has the time and space for him to grow and play. Even though he is a husky, he is a relatively quiet dog who isn't a loud barker, though he will whine if he wants a toy and isn't seeming to get our attention for it. But otherwise, no howling here! Lucas will come fully vetted and health certified. For more information, contact MokasMission@Gmail.com
