Story

We fostered Franny Feb 2024 in Dallas. She is the sweetest, cuddliest, kindest dog. She was diagnosed with atypical Addisons disease Spring 2024 & takes a daily steroid to manage all symptoms. We weren't able to locate an adopter and needed to relocate to Seattle Fall 2024 so we brought her with us. Franny loves Seattle, going for walks and being around her people. We have 2 other rescues dogs she gets along with just fine. Never tested for cats. We had a baby Fall 2025 and Franny is wonderful around the kiddo, but the stress and changes in our house flared her Addisons symptoms (triggered by stress or eating something unusual). As much as we love her, I don't think we are the right home for her in this season of our lives because we can't provide the environment in which she would thrive best. Franny would do AMAZING in a home where her people are around most of the time (WFH or retired). We are willing to continue to support Franny as needed & be in communication with new family.

We think 25-30 full grown. She is very sweet, has good eye contact and has a soft coat and down ears. Her coat is really soft. She is active and the group is vocal but not over the top. A person that does not work all day every day for 5 days a week is the best for a puppy. Someone that can work from home some or has partial days or some days off to spend to help your new puppy acclimate is best. You need time to be with your puppy to socialize them and to finish off their puppy training. Porsche was very easy to handle taking his photos and she wasn’t afraid of new people and liked being held. She sat on the table with confidence while we worked with her. She is getting daily attention and holding at the Rescue. She is getting his DHPP vaccinations and dewormed. She is good in her play group. She is kenneled in the evening and is learning to go potty on a wee pad. She is currently at the CCPAL Rescue in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Quarry is one of five young Aussie pups we rescued from a puppy mill situation in Eastern WA. Like the others, he suffered porcupine quill injuries—but his were the worst we’ve ever seen. This poor boy even had quills down his throat. When we found him, Quarry was starving, in pain, and desperately pawing at his face to try to escape the agony. It broke our hearts. The good news? He’s been to the vet, the quills are gone, and he’s on the road to recovery. At the rescue kennel, he’s started taking food from our hands (pill pockets are his favorite!). But Quarry is still very shy—understandable after the trauma he’s endured. Now we need your help. Muchacho is a young (1.5-2 YO approx.) mixed medium boy (last weighed 44 lbs, now 45-55 lbs.), with a brindle coat and the sweetest brown eyes. He is house-trained (up to 6 hours free-bird, up to 8 in crate), potty-trained, knows Sit, Paw (Shakes Hand), is working on Wait (Stay) and Gentle (touch nose, not grab with teeth). He is VERY food-motivated, a lapdog, a sous chef. Muchacho loves the girls, the gays and the theys, and warms up to the he/hims slowly. He loves to be by your side at all times, separation makes him anxious. He is a big nippy thief, of socks and shoes and kitchen towels and pillows, even if they are too big to carry. He loves playing with balls, tug of war, and destroying even the toughest toys. He is not friendly to other dogs, should be an only pet until he is socialized better. He is a handsome boy who needs a companion with more time, energy, and dedication to his training. My ex surrendered Chacho to me to rehome to a more fitting household after he left WA.

Meet Yogi! This wonderful boy has come so far! His story is amazing and we are so proud of him. Yogi was locked in a barn for the first year of his life. He never saw the sun, never touched grass, never got to meet people or other dogs. He was very shut down when he arrived and we have spent many months working with him. Slowly but surely Yogi has come out of his shell. For the past few months he has been fostered by our trainer Melissa and Yogi has made even more leaps and bounds. This boy is so so sweet, so gentle, so kind. You can't help but fall in love with him. Here is what his trainer/foster has to say about Yogi: Yogi (AKA The Yog-Meister, Yogurt, and Yogis) is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet! At 3yrs of age, Yogi is young and energetic, requiring a fenced yard for his daily "morning run". He loves a good game of tug, works for praise, and finds physical touch to be his preferred love language. Yogi is as loyal as they come - he puts a lot of trust into his handler and feels the most safe around them. Having been found abandoned in a horse barn, he requires someone who will be patient in guiding him when experiencing the world beyond a horse barn stall. Yogi will do best with someone who is physically active or can meet his mental & physical needs, including someone who may be interested in participating in dog sports such as Treibball or herding trials. Yogi co-exists peacefully with our resident dog, a 6yr female mix with moderate energy - they will take turns chasing each other in the yard, play tug, then relax in the living room together. Yogi has a customized training plan for his walks due to the excitement he feels when cars pass - his innate drive to chase can take over in these moments. This dear boy will do best in a home without young children. He is still easily startled. A home with a secure yard is a must.
