Story
Freddie is the funniest, 18mo old 50lb guy! He is very active and much prefers to run and dance versus walking. He twirls when he runs and will leap back and forth in excitement when he knows a treat is coming. We are working on calming behaviors and impulse control, but he just gets so excited about being outside with his pals, it’s hard for him to settle down for at least the first 15 min of playtime. Then he’s more likely to pay attention to training games that teach more manners and commands. He appears to be a border collie / husky mix, with what else, we don’t know. His intelligence suggests this, too. Freddie would be an awesome hiking partner. After a short run, he’s also learning how to walk properly on a leash. Because of an old injury to his front foot when he was a puppy, he is not a candidate for long distance jogging or running. Walking and especially hiking would be the perfect outdoor activities instead. Freddie loves other dogs so lots of doggy play dates are a must, although he doesn’t need another dog in the home. He has not been tested with cats, so no kitties please. He loves children but he’s still learning to be polite so kids must be over 12yrs old. An active home with a fenced yard is required. He does NOT have the herding tendencies like others of his breed type. Freddie is crate trained and almost completely house trained. If he has potty breaks at least every 4-5hrs, he’s doing great with his training.  If you would like to meet this wonderful boy please email info@k9rr.org and include your phone numberl.  Adoptioin fee is $250.March 19, 2024, 10:29 am

Story
Goose is an adorable 6 month old male pup who came to us from Yakima. He's a Border Collie Cattle Dog mix, so if you love the herding breeds, Goose might be the perfect pup for you. He sleeps and eats in his crate and is fully potty trained. Right now he's being fostered in a home with older dogs and doing great, even though they don't have the play energy he does. :) Goose gets very attached to his person and loves to be with that person, but goes into his crate with ease when breaks are needed. His herding instinct can come out around small humans and their quick movements, so he will probably do best in a home with teens and without cats. He is super playful and fun in a fenced back yard, and he is learning how to enjoy walks. All the big city noises take some getting used to, but with a patient, loving adopter, we have no doubt that Goose will be a great companion and family member who will love going on outdoor adventures. Please email us at rhas.adoptions@gmail.com if you would like to meet him. And please be patient. We have one adoption coordinator doing their best to coordinate adoptions for many pups. ================================================= WE DO NOT RESPOND TO AdoptaPet INQUIRIES OR PHONE CALLS, ONLY EMAILS. If you have any additional questions, or would like to adopt Goose, please send us an email at rhas.adoptions@gmail.com and we will send you an adopter survey. Please note that we are a foster to adopt only rescue. As a foster, you get to "test drive" your chosen dog to make sure it's a good fit prior to adoption. We want you and the dog to have the best fit possible! Resilient Hearts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue in Seattle, WA. 100% of adoption fees go towards helping us save more high-risk animals, and unite them with their forever families in the PNW! Introducing Sylvester - the cutest little pup you'll ever lay your eyes on! This charming ball of fur was miraculously saved from the dreaded euthanasia list at our local shelter. Just look at that face - it's impossible not to fall in love! Sylvester is a bundle of joy who adores people, toys, and being showered with hugs. He's the perfect companion for any loving home. He is full of energy. He would do best in a home with another doggie to be able to run around and chase. He loves ALL toys. He is good with kids. He is also very smart and eager to please. He would be a great candidate for agility training because this boy may be part pogostick. He would love an active family who will take him on all of their adventures. He is good in the car, great on the leash, and crate trained. He is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. This boy is ready to go. He is being fostered in Independence, OR and is available for meet and greets with potential adopters. And the best part? We've got you covered, no matter where you are! We offer transportation every two weeks from Houston up to Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. Story
I'm Choa, 4-year–old –female Border Collie mix, a spirited pup with a story to tell. In 2020, I faced difficult at the City Center luckly, I was rescued right before being putting down and found my way to a training center where I've been thriving ever since. I might be a bit shy at first, but trust me, it won't take long for us to become fast friends. I've got a friendly and social nature, and I get along well with other dogs. I'm always up for a playdate, eager to make new friends, and I greet strangers with a wagging tail, ready for some fun. I'm not one to pick fights, even if other dogs try to provoke me. I find comfort and peace in the company of my furry pals, and being around them makes me feel secure. I'm a pro at walks—no pulling, just a steady companion by your side. After our stroll, I'm content to rest quietly, whether it's lounging around or cozying up in my kennel. I'm not much of a barker, and I don’t guard my food and happy to share my snacks with other dogs. I prefer doing my business outdoors for my bathroom breaks. I've got a calm energy that makes me a joy to have around. let's create wonderful memories together! If you're looking for a loyal companion who's overcome challenges and is ready to share a lifetime of love, look no further. Story
I'm a 5-month-old male Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a zest for life. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My journey began in a rather tough spot – a dog meat farm, but thankfully I've been given a second chance. I was rescued with my mom and siblings just before facing the possibility of euthanasia at a City shelter where it's allowed by law One thing you should know about me: I'm a people person, or rather, a people-dog! I adore meeting new humans, and it doesn't take me long to become fast friends with anyone I meet. While I'm not a seasoned walker yet, I'm eager to learn and rely on my human for guidance. However, busy streets can be a bit intimidating for me. When it comes to other dogs, I'm pretty indifferent. I don't seek their company, but I also don't mind it. Barking isn't really my style, and I tend to keep things pretty chill, even in the kennel. However, when it comes to food, I can get a little protective and growl at other dogs. It's just my way of saying, "Hey, that's mine!" I'm a good boy at the vet's office and during bath time. I'm also pretty good at using indoor potty pads, although I prefer to do my business outside when given the chance. Overall, I'm a sweet, affectionate pup who's just waiting for a loving home to call my own. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's ready to shower you with love and affection, look no further! Come meet me, and let's see if we're a perfect match! To see more Videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7h4IFyxW_4&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JxlhutFLFGTu1HsX6xQDy_6 ❤ we accept both Canada/US applicants ❤

Story
Requires: -Herding breed experienced home -Large fenced yard outside the city -Another playful dog in the home her size or larger Keira is a 2 year old, 50lb Border Collie who is looking for her perfect home. She takes a while to trust, but is loyal to her people once she does. Keira is fearful of people and does not easily trust. She can be skittish and is a flight risk if not contained properly. She will build trust with her people after a period of time spent together and trust building, but she is not a ‘people’ dog with new people. She is definitely a dog's dog. She prefers to be with her dog friends and spends her days out in a play yard with 5-7 other dogs. Keira will need a home that understands and is ok with the fact she is not a super lovey dog that will want human attention all the time. Keira will do best in an adult only home that is patient in building her trust and ok with her being aloof and doing her own thing at times. She is well mannered and does great hanging out in a fenced yard with her dog friends. She is super active and loves to run around in her current large play yard with other dogs. Keira will thrive in a home with a large fenced yard outside of the city. She is not an apartment/condo/townhome dog. Keira requires at least one other dog around her size in the home, and herding breed experience. She would thrive in a more rural setting with a large fenced yard. Keira is UTD on shots, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400.

Whistler is a ~1-year-old male Border Collie mix weighing about 45 lbs and came up as a stray from California. He is extremely sweet and loves attention and love from his people! He's can be a little shy at first but opens up very quickly to become a super friendly dog. He does well with other dogs and would make a great 2nd dog in the home. Border Collies need an active family as they are smart and inquisitive. He would love a home in a suburban or a rural area where he can have a fenced yard to run and play. He is up-to-date on his vaccinations and will be neutered, and microchipped prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to Brookie! She is a sweet, 7-month-old, 25lb, border collie mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Brookie is smart and has a lot of energy. She would do great in a home that can provide her with obedience training and lots of exercise. She’d make a great hiking, running, and adventure buddy as she matures. Brookie is playful and has done well with dogs in our care and would love a home with another dog friend. She would love a securely fenced home in a suburban or rural neighborhood where she can run and play. She has not been tested with kids or cats. Brookie is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and will be spayed prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is $500.

Hi, Tomasa is my name and if you want an all around easy dog to get along with - I'm your girl! I love to swim, run, and play. I can already imagine all the fun things we could do together. But I am also very content to lay be your feet and just chill. Don't worry - I'll periodically give you my paw to let you know I'm there and available for cuddling. I don't need constant attention, but I'll take as much as you want to give.I can be a bit shy when we first meet but I warm up quickly and then we are best friends.I am still a young girl who is very curious and learning new things all the time. I getting pretty good at walking on a leash without pulling - and with your help I'm sure I'll be perfect soon! And did I mention I love treats? I already know how to sit for a treat. Being food motivated makes me easy to train. I get along great with most dogs after we are introduced, but I can be a bit vocal with dogs that I don’t know. Once we are introduced, we're good friends. In fact, I go for walks on our La Paz Malecon every Wednesday just so I can meet new dogs and people and be a social girl. If you like an all-around great dog - who has energy to play when you are ready, will chill and lay at your feet while you work, and be ready for cuddles when it's time -- I'm definitely the girl for you.If you think we could have a happy life together, then just click on the "Apply to Adopt" button. Hi, Alphy is my name,I you are looking for an adult dog with some personality then look no further. I am good with dogs if they are female. But no cats for me, please. I like to be active but in moderation. I have a limp from a previous injury, but it doesn’t stop me from loving my walks and even the occasional run. I can enjoy life to the fullest, especially with a loving family.I am okay with older kids, little kids are too loud for me I like to be quiet.I know all the basic commands but I do have a mind of my own so you will need to be patient with me as I get to know what you want from me. If you are looking for a loyal, loving companion, I am your guy.I guess if I had my way, I would love a laid-back family, who likes a slow walk, and who likes to go for car rides, especially to the beach. Oh and if I was the only dog that would be great too. If it sounds like we could get along then just fill in the application form and we can meet on a Zoom call. With love, Alphy To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Hi, just call me Buba,I am just a little guy who is learning to trust and build some confidence. I think I have come a long way since I was rescued but I still have work to do. I love people, even the little people who offer me gentle pets and cuddles. It makes my heart sing!I can be very playful with other dogs if I am introduced properly, otherwise, I am pretty shy. Cats are good too, I just ignore them.I am happy to play with toys but even a plastic water bottle can be fun, I am not too fussy. I am getting used to car rides, at first, I was very restless because it was scary but now I know what to expect so it is better. I like water, but I haven’t been to the beach yet, maybe that is something we can do together.I am just a young pup so I have plenty to learn about obedience, walking on a leash, and basic commands but if you have some patience I will learn quickly. All I want is to please you.If it sounds like we could be a family together then just fill out the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Buba To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo.
