He has the typical energy level of a young Italian greyhound - very spunky and quick. He loves to play with toys!  He gives little growls while playing with them, but has no problem with sharing them. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs.  There are other small dogs in his foster home and he has done very well with them, but his energy level is a lot for older dogs and he would do best in a home with younger dogs who can play with him.  Colton does have a higher energy level, so canine companions need to be ok with that energy level.  He is pee pad trained and his foster mom is working on doing his business outside. Colton adores meeting people and he is a big-time cuddler!!!  Colton loves his walks! Colton came to us from South Korea where he was found on the streets with a broken front leg and a severely injured achilles tendon.  He had surgery on his front leg and it has healed beautifully.  The hind leg has healed fairly well, but he does not put any weight on it.  We will be seeing a Rehab Specialist to determine how we can best help and encourage him to use the hind leg. Colton will need a home without cats. Story
**Lily and Vanilla Bean** Looking for the ultimate lapdogs? Seeking a couple of loving pups who will be completely devoted and want to be wherever you are? Lily and Vanilla Bean are a wonderful Mom-and-Daughter pair who adore each other and bond deeply with their human(s). They love to play with one another while cuddling on a bed or while you watch television. They love to run in the sun and chase one another or play chase with you and fetch toys. These two girls will melt the souls of the folks who take them home. They have the sweetest personalities and even though they may be playing with one another, they are happiest when they can share their time with their person. They will make excellent companions for people who work from home or who are retired. They adore attention and become very outgoing once they overcome their initial shyness.  Lily and Beanie are Italian Greyhound mixes. Lily is approx. 1-year-old and about 9 pounds, while Beanie is @3-4 years old and 15 pounds. "Beany" is Lily's mom, and they get along so well. They need to be adopted and kept together. These girls are so happy to be alive, out of the shelter, receiving love, attention, and awesome food. They begin a little timid and shy. Then, over a few days, they open up and want to be right in your lap. Once they settle in, they roll over for belly rubs and are so excited to be your very special buddies.  Whoever adopts this pair is winning the Jackpot!!   Lily and Beany have a bonded pair adoption fee of $550.00. They are up to date on their vaccines and spayed.  To apply to adopt this wonderful pair, please fill out an application on our website: www.smallpupsrescue.org May 10, 2026, 11:44 am
