Story
**Lily ** Lily is one of the sweetest pups. Lily is a 1-year-old, small mixed-breed, cuddly and playful pup who was dumped with her mom in a field and left to fend for themselves until Animal Control picked them up, and then they were in danger of being euthanized. Now this darling pup is thriving and is in a foster home. We are truly hoping to capture the attention of her dream person(s) before she has to come back to the chaos of the rescue ranch! If you are interested in adopting Lily, contact me or fill out an application on our website: www.smallpupsrescue.org Lily has been understandably cautious when she first meets someone new. Visitors can sit with her and her mum, Hazel, until the girls are comfortable enough to interact. Once Lily becomes familiar with a person, she will start working her way into their lap and eventually want to be picked up and held close. At night, she prefers to crawl under the covers and stay warm against your body. Lily may do fine as an only dog, but she loves to play and interact with her mom, so another dog in the home who is dog-friendly and playful would be wonderful for her. Lily loves food and is highly food-motivated. Lily loves fresh vegetables from the garden, watermelon, soft- and hard-boiled eggs, apples, and fresh ground peanut butter, and is trying new foods with her foster. Navi, her foster, admires Lily's intelligence and how easily she trains. Lily's daily routine includes two short walks and one longer play session. She enjoys playing with squeaky toys and balls in a fenced yard or in the living room. After some morning exercise, Lily settles down next to her foster parent while they work or relax. She typically eats twice a day, in the morning and evening, and enjoys her human-grade dog food. Lily looks forward to some gentle playtime before bedtime and loves curling up in her dog bed or under the covers at night. She does best with a predictable schedule and positive, gentle interactions throughout the day. Lily has an adoption fee of $395.00. Lily has had the spay procedure, is up to date on her vaccinations, and is in good health. If you would like to adopt this sweet girl, kindly complete an application on our website at www.smallpupsrescue.org . Once we receive your application, a member of our team will contact you to discuss Lily and answer any questions you may have. We may also arrange a virtual or in-person home visit to ensure it is a good match for both you and Lily. If everything goes well, we will guide you through the final steps of the adoption process. Thank you for considering giving Lily a loving home. September 5, 2026, 2:10 pm

Story
Zeke is adorable. We’ve had him for 6 years and love him. Unfortunately he does not do well with our young kids. He has nipped and bit when there is sudden movement towards him. We’ve gotten teeth pulled, we’ve tried gabapentin without success. We hired a dog walker, but he bit the walker twice. He is lovely but he bites.Zeke is very attached to his momma and just doesn’t want to share her.Zeke would do well with an adult who could cuddle him and appreciate how adorable and loyal he is.He is mostly house trained but does have some accidents. He has collapsing trachea and occasionally gets bouts of coughing. We’re likely going to have to surrender him to a shelter due to the biting, but you might be just the right adult to save and love him.

Story
Welcome Monica to CCPAL Rescue. Monica is a 2 year old Flat Coated Fox Terrier/Italian Greyhound is our best guess. She is a mix of breeds we are sure. She weighs about 15 pounds. She was found on the street big and pregnant. Her pups all look very different. Some are fluffy and some are not. She is a wonderful dog. She doesn’t jump up, is good with other dogs, good in a crate and good on a leash. She is also nice in her kennel and was the very best and most attentive momma. She isn’t very vocal which is wonderful and would make an easy dog to bring into some family. She has weaned her pups and will be spayed soon and ready for her very own forever home. She does her business outside on a leash and she is just the most wonderful dog. Some dogs are easy in Rescue and she is one of those dogs. She is in Texas with the CCPAL Rescue. She would be a great walking or jogging companion due to her long legs. She is a moderate to low shedding dog. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video

Story
Animal Information: Handsome Jack (nka Jackson) is an estimated 12-18-month old 35 lb now neutered male Whippet mix with epic ears and a fantastic temperament. He was found as a stray (with Charlie Girl) on a large ranch property and processed thru COH Animal Control. He was given just 72 hrs because the shelter was beyond capacity so PAWHI stepped in and found him (and Charlie) foster placement. In foster care Jack has learned house-training, crate-training, and leash-training, is comfortable with handling, takes treats gently and shows no behavior issues like resource guarding. He is social and friendly with dogs and people including young children, though he is initially timid with men. He has not been evaluated with cats. This soft and sweet boy is joining Dog Gone Seattle and we look forward to getting to know him in foster care. Foster Profile: Jackson needed a few days to adjust to life on the mainland but he settled into his foster home in stride, seamlessly blending into the pack including several other dogs and kids. He's even respectful of the cat! He's picked up house training and crate training like an old pro and is gaining confidence every day. Jackson is very dog oriented and loves to romp with his dog friends. He will need at least one canine companion in his adoptive home, and he might do better in a pack. He is a soft and sweet natured boy who will bond with people once rapport and trust is established. We anticipate he'll love to chase things once he gets comfortable! He hasn't shown any unwanted behaviors, just an all around good Hawaii dog who crossed the pond to find a forever.  Adopter Profile: Fenced yard required Companion animal required Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from PAWHI in Hawaii, where he was a stray intake to COH Animal Control. He arrived to foster care 6/10/2026 and is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area.September 12, 2026, 2:10 pm

Story
Animal Information: Charlie Girl is an estimated 12-18-month old 40 lb now spayed female mixed breed (possibly Whippet/Shep mix) with epic ears and a fantastic temperament. She was found as a stray (with Handsome Jack) on a large ranch property and processed thru COH Animal Control. She was given just 72 hrs because the shelter was beyond capacity so PAWHI stepped in and found her (and Jack) foster placement. In foster care Charlie has learned house-training, crate-training, and leash-training, is comfortable with handling, takes treats gently and shows no behavior issues like resource guarding. She is social and friendly with dogs and people including young children. She has not been evaluated with cats. This sweet and easy going girl is joining Dog Gone Seattle and we look forward to getting to know her in foster care. Foster Profile:  Meet Charlie!  Charlie is a 1½-year-old Whippet/Shepherd mix with the sweetest personality. She is affectionate, friendly, and eager to please. She settled into foster care immediately, warming up to everyone she's met with a gentle, submissive nature.  She loves playing with other dogs (of all sizes) but would also do well as the only dog in a home with plenty of love and the occasional playdate. She is crate trained, potty trained, rides well in the car, and is wonderfully quiet. Charlie is highly food-motivated and eager to learn. She already knows sit, down, and touch. At just a year and a half old, she's fast, fit, and agile, making her an ideal companion for an active family. She'll thrive with adopters who will keep both her body and mind engaged through exercise, enrichment, and continued training—she truly enjoys learning and catches on quickly. Charlie does have some prey drive outside. She was recently cat tested and was quite interested, but not agressive, and able to take cues from a confident cat. Given her interest in play/chase, Charlie might do best in a cat free home, but would likely be okay with dog savvy cats/owners.  If you're looking for a smart, loving companion who's ready for adventures and will happily soak up all the pets and affection you can give, Charlie may be the perfect match. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from the COH Animal Control in partnership with PWAHI, where she was found as a stray. She will arriving to foster care on 6/10 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. September 12, 2026, 2:10 pm

Story
Animal Information: Trixie is a 9.5 year old sighthound/terrier mix with a gentle, sensitive nature. Her world recently changed when her owner of nearly 8 years could no longer care for her due to a medical crisis, but through it all she has remained a sweet and loving dog.  On walks she is calm and non reactive, and she really enjoys being outside. Although she had been spending much of her time in a crate, she has done so well in her foster home and has settled right back into a normal routine. Trixie is friendly with everyone she meets. She can be a little unsure in new places at first, but she warms up quickly and will start leaning in for affection before long. She is house trained, crate trained, and rides nicely in the car. Trixie would fit into many different homes and is ready to find a place where she can feel safe and loved again. Foster Profile: Trixie is a sweet girl, looking for someone who would love to give an older girl a great several years of life! She still likes to play and enjoys walks and loves her people. Trixie would prefer to be an only dog in the home, but has been fine with other dogs in public. Trixie is currently being fostered with other dogs in the home and is doing fine, but she is not a fan of small dogs in her space. Trixie does great in a car and in a crate and is house trained. She's a goofy gal with Lots of life left in her! She's great on a leash and will steal your heart. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
