Animal Information: Trixie is a 9.5 year old sighthound/terrier mix with a gentle, sensitive nature. Her world recently changed when her owner of nearly 8 years could no longer care for her due to a medical crisis, but through it all she has remained a sweet and loving dog. She gets along well with other dogs and has lived with cats. On walks she is calm and non reactive, and she really enjoys being outside. Although she had been spending much of her time in a crate, she has done so well in her foster home and has settled right back into a normal routine. Trixie is friendly with everyone she meets. She can be a little unsure in new places at first, but she warms up quickly and will start leaning in for affection before long. She is house trained, crate trained, and rides nicely in the car. Trixie would fit into many different homes and is ready to find a place where she can feel safe and loved again. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hershey Hershey arrived from an overcrowded shelter where he and his 7 one-year-old siblings were dumped. Each sibling was quite different from the other. similar body shapes with varying colours. Hershey and Cocoa were the only two reddish-liver colour pups, and their fur resembles that of Aussie shepherds. They are likely very mixed breeds, with Hershey's Whippet characteristics dominant, and Cocoa's Aussie traits showing more in her. Hershey is very shy initially. His fosters are working with him to become accustomed to love, meeting a variety of people, older children, and new dogs. He is doing well on all counts. Hershey will be neutered before going to his forever people. His fosters are getting him on a regular outdoor potty schedule, training him in a harness and lead, and he's living with three people and only one dog. Hershey was relinquished with his family from a home with too many animals. The quiet and calm are new to him, but he seems to relish them.  Crates are scary to Hershey, so he is learning to stay in a pen at night with an open crate as a den, so he will not be afraid of a crate when it is time to visit the vet.  Hershey has a lovely, sweet, and curious demeanor. He will do well in a home with other friendly dogs, and people who have the time and love to give this gorgeous boy. He needs an adult-only home due to being mouthy.
