Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Benji the Italian Greyhound mix Background Benji is the brother of Ruby and Pumpkin the bonded sisters.  The 3 siblings were rescued from a Flagstaff Human Society, a place that is no-kill but had become overrun with dogs and was threatening the ability to remain a No-kill facility. 28 dogs were pulled and brought to Washington to release some pressure for the shelter. Benji was supposed to be with his siblings on that trip but became ill (Pneumonia) and was unable to travel. His foster flew all the way to flagstaff when he was recovered and got him out. Benji is up to date, neutered, and in need of a loving home From Benjis foster Benji is a tender sweetheart who is still recovering from past trauma and is a little afraid of new circumstances.  He is affectionate and will gently paw at you to keep up the head massages and back scratches. Benji is a fast walker and could accompany a jogger on small distances.  He has great energy and also loves his downtime so he can cuddle up next to you on the couch. He loves his toys and loves his fosters. Benji needs an adult-only home. No children and no cats or other small animals. someone who works from home would be great and who has experience with rescued, fearful dogs.   Benji  has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies. To apply to adopt Benji he has a $595.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.     https ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 22, 2024, 9:43 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. PUMPKIN AND RUBY (and Benji their Brother) Italian Greyhound-Chihuahua mix sisters. Background Ruby, Benji, and Pumpkin are siblings who were rescued from certain death at the Flagstaff Arizona shelter that serves 3 huge Native American Reservations surrounding the shelter. They are often overcrowded and understaffed and under utilized for adoptions.  The shelter depends heavily on rescue groups Like Rompin Paws to save Lives.      Ruby, and Pumpkin are gorgeous bonded siblings who need to be adopted together. If the family has the room, we would love Benji to stay with his sisters if Possible as they have been together all their lives.  (If nothing else, the girls need to stay together).      The girls are very affectionate and love to cuddle.  Pumpkin is silly and playful while Ruby is a bit more serious; however, they love to chase each other and will do well in a home with an enclosed yard.  Both girls are interested in squeaky toys, roasted vegetable treats, and fast-paced walks. In their quiet time, they are often cuddled up together. They will be introverted for the first couple of weeks in their new home and family until they feel safe, then they will begin to venture out and seek companionship from their new humans. with patience, these girls will thrive!  Their foster humans have leash-trained them and they are walked several times a day. as  Italian Greyhound mixes, they thrive on exercise and really need to have their daily walks and not just a yard to run in. Ruby is ~12lbs Pumpkin is ~7lbs Benji is~15 lbs   What They Need     Typical of a Chihuahua mix, both girls are Very protective of their humans and do not behave well with other dogs and are not quick to trust other humans. This is also due to a long stint at an overcrowded shelter and the fears they went through and being dumped by their human in a cardboard box. When they eat you have to keep an eye to make sure Ruby doesn't finish eating and then make her way to sharing the rest of Pumpkin's meal. These sweet girls require an adult-only home that does not receive visitations from Children and no children reside in the home. They need a quieter environment 1-2 long walks a day, playtime in their yard, cuddles, and lots of UNCONDITIONAL love, patience and zero expectations of them.   How Can You Meet Them    Ruby and Pumpkin have been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate their adopters on proper diet and nutrition. To apply to adopt the sisters, they have an adoption fee of  $950.00 for Rubie and Pumpkin or 1,425.00 for all three siblings. All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs.  To apply to adopt please visit our website: https://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 22, 2024, 9:43 pm

Story
Lieutenant Natasha Yar, chief security officer aboard the USS-Enterprise, reporting for duty! Of course, you can just call me Tasha. Much like my namesake character from Star Trek: The Next Generation, I am small but mighty and a true protector! I am also (partially) blonde and my funny tiny ears match Tasha Yar's short hair. Also like Tasha, I have had a rrruff life before now and am happy to start anew. I have a little bit of a funny appearance. I have my tiny ears, looong legs, and my eyes sometimes go out to the sides. It's really hard to know what breeds I may be mixed with. All I know is that I'm super sweet and loving but have no problem being feisty too. I'm still a pup after all! I love to wrestle with the other dogs in the house and we get along great, though I do have to eat separately. I get barky when I have food because I feel the need to protect it! I am doing amazing with things like house training, leash training, and being comfortable with car rides. Behind my tough exterior, I'm actually a very sweet and snuggly girl! I'll rub all over you like a cat and always be by your side waiting for love. I am even great with smaller humanoids. I'm ready for a family of my own to explore the galaxies with. Apply today!

Story
Meet Cassidy, the Charming Introvert! Get ready to fall in love with Cassidy, a pale white pup with captivating puppy eyes and a heart-shaped nose. Despite a challenging past where he navigated the streets and scrounged for survival, Cassidy's resilience shines through. Now, he's on a mission to find a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished. Cassidy is a dog with a gentle and timid personality. Loud noises and intense reactions make him nervous, and he prefers a calm and serene environment. He needs time to warm up to people and build trust before he feels comfortable and secure. This smart little guy knows some tricks already and is a well-mannered companion during feeding time. He's polite and respectful, showing his intelligence and willingness to please. Sitting on command is just one of the many tricks he has mastered. When it comes to relaxation, Cassidy's favorite spot is snuggled up on the couch or bed. He loves cozy naps and enjoys sleeping in when it's chilly or rainy outside. His head and ears are the sweet spots for scratches and cuddles, and he might even roll over for a belly rub! Cassidy is searching for someone who will shower him with love and understanding. While he respects cats and tolerates other dogs, he prefers his own space and will often retreat to a separate room. However, when the other dogs are not around, he comes out for attention and cuddles. He enjoys the quiet company of a select few men, seeming to have a preference for quieter individuals. It's important to note that Cassidy is not a fan of chaos, whether it's caused by humans or other dogs. He seeks a serene and calm environment where he can feel at ease. Car rides are a pleasure for him, as long as he is the sole rider and not in a crowded car with other dogs. To provide Cassidy with his ideal home, a single, quiet man with no other dogs or possibly a submissive dog that Cassidy meets and approves of would be the perfect match. An at-home social life that aligns with his introverted nature is preferable. While Cassidy tends to avoid general interaction and may not seek pets, hugs, or kisses, he has his moments of affection when he feels comfortable. Cassidy may be an introverted hermit, but beneath his reserved exterior lies a dog yearning for love and understanding. If you're someone who appreciates the quiet moments and can provide a calm and peaceful environment, Cassidy will reward you! (Only) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
