Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Benji the Italian Greyhound mix Background Benji is the brother of Ruby and Pumpkin the bonded sisters.  The 3 siblings were rescued from a Flagstaff Human Society, a place that is no-kill but had become overrun with dogs and was threatening the ability to remain a No-kill facility. 28 dogs were pulled and brought to Washington to release some pressure for the shelter. Benji was supposed to be with his siblings on that trip but became ill (Pneumonia) and was unable to travel. His foster flew all the way to flagstaff when he was recovered and got him out. Benji is up to date, neutered, and in need of a loving home From Benjis foster Benji is a tender sweetheart who is still recovering from past trauma and is a little afraid of new circumstances.  He is affectionate and will gently paw at you to keep up the head massages and back scratches. Benji is a fast walker and could accompany a jogger on small distances.  He has great energy and also loves his downtime so he can cuddle up next to you on the couch. He loves his toys and loves his fosters. Benji needs an adult-only home. No children and no cats or other small animals. someone who works from home would be great and who has experience with rescued, fearful dogs.   Benji  has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies. To apply to adopt Benji he has a $595.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.     https ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 26, 2024, 4:00 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. PUMPKIN AND RUBY (and Benji their Brother) Italian Greyhound-Chihuahua mix sisters. Background Ruby, Benji, and Pumpkin are siblings who were rescued from certain death at the Flagstaff Arizona shelter that serves 3 huge Native American Reservations surrounding the shelter. They are often overcrowded and understaffed and under utilized for adoptions.  The shelter depends heavily on rescue groups Like Rompin Paws to save Lives.      Ruby, and Pumpkin are gorgeous bonded siblings who need to be adopted together. If the family has the room, we would love Benji to stay with his sisters if Possible as they have been together all their lives.  (If nothing else, the girls need to stay together).      The girls are very affectionate and love to cuddle.  Pumpkin is silly and playful while Ruby is a bit more serious; however, they love to chase each other and will do well in a home with an enclosed yard.  Both girls are interested in squeaky toys, roasted vegetable treats, and fast-paced walks. In their quiet time, they are often cuddled up together. They will be introverted for the first couple of weeks in their new home and family until they feel safe, then they will begin to venture out and seek companionship from their new humans. with patience, these girls will thrive!  Their foster humans have leash-trained them and they are walked several times a day. as  Italian Greyhound mixes, they thrive on exercise and really need to have their daily walks and not just a yard to run in. Ruby is ~12lbs Pumpkin is ~7lbs Benji is~15 lbs   What They Need     Typical of a Chihuahua mix, both girls are Very protective of their humans and do not behave well with other dogs and are not quick to trust other humans. This is also due to a long stint at an overcrowded shelter and the fears they went through and being dumped by their human in a cardboard box. When they eat you have to keep an eye to make sure Ruby doesn't finish eating and then make her way to sharing the rest of Pumpkin's meal. These sweet girls require an adult-only home that does not receive visitations from Children and no children reside in the home. They need a quieter environment 1-2 long walks a day, playtime in their yard, cuddles, and lots of UNCONDITIONAL love, patience and zero expectations of them.   How Can You Meet Them    Ruby and Pumpkin have been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate their adopters on proper diet and nutrition. To apply to adopt the sisters, they have an adoption fee of  $950.00 for Rubie and Pumpkin or 1,425.00 for all three siblings. All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs.  To apply to adopt please visit our website: https://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 26, 2024, 4:00 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rocky My name is Rocky. I was left behind when my owners moved. I don’t know what I did wrong. I was lucky to find some nice people who went out of their way to find me a chance at a better life. They contacted Tiny Paws Rescue and Sanctuary and they agreed to help me. I am approximately 3.5 years old. I am healthy and strong again. I am good with other dogs. I prefer a nice couple or an adult. Sorry, I’m not sure about kids, they tend to frighten me. I’m neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on my vaccines and I had a complete dental on Nove. 29th. Now I am out of crowded California and in Washington seeking my forever people. Cheryl The founder says I have dreamy eyes and a sweet personality. Oh, and I am super smart as well. I may be shy to start because there's been a lot of scary stuff in my life so be gentle and patient with me and I will be your BFF forever OK? From the Rescue: Rocky is available for adoption. He needs a patient and dog-savvy person who understands that time and trust are what bring a dog around. This boy is filled with love. He does not give it freely, he takes his time and lets you prove to him you are worthy of his affection. YET, when Rocky KNOWS a person is truly loving and caring, he gives his whole heart. This boy is a love bucket with a person or persons he trusts. He will growl at a stranger in the home. Fear-free training, patience, and love are needed by his new future humans. Rocky will be the joy of your life. This boy has personality, love, and a huge heart for the right person. He trusts women and is more leery of men. How Can You Meet Rocky? Please use this link to apply, One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match  Rocky has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. Story
Hi, my name is Pool! I'm a retired racer who loves long walks, neck scratches, and hanging out with people. Like many black greyhounds, I'm prematurely grey but don't let that fool you. I am very active, and would like a forever home that will take me on daily walks or at least a few times a week. I have a raincoat and I am ready to go rain, snow or shine. I was an amazing racer, and my track name was Deadpool. I miss it sometimes, and get excited when I see squirrels, rabbits or other small, bouncy animals. Don't worry, if I'm on lead I know to listen to my people and I will behave, but I wouldn't do well with cats and some small dogs because I like to chase. I have lived alone and with other greyhounds. I like attention, but I also know how to share and take turns. I do need a little time to build trust with people and other dogs, and I will let you know with a little grumble. I'm pretty talkative when I want something, and can sound like a grumpy old man when I need to go out and do my business. Don't worry, you'll get used to it and maybe even over time find it charming. If you can't adopt me, would you consider making a donation to help feed and care for me and other fosters? Maybe $5 for treats, $10 for a new stuffy or $50 for a bag of dog food. Any amount helps keep us all happy and healthy as we wait for the right forever home. Please go here to donate or learn more about me and other fosters on the Royal Hounds website. Story
Tully has a calm relaxed energy that makes him especially good with other dogs. He loves to play with toys but is a gentleman if asked to give them up – even his absolute favorite squeaky pig! He walks nicely on a loose lead, and greets other dogs effortlessly, putting them at their ease very quickly. Tully enjoys getting a good brush to shine up his dark coat and keep his white highlights bright. We think he may be cat trainable. He never raced but loves to run, and so a fenced yard is required to adopt him. https://www.facebook.com/share/5YAg4aP9jKspUqRd/?mibextid=qi2Omg
