He was rescued from the Long Beach shelter and came to us super shy and closed off. Tai’s forever home will need to have another outgoing dog, to show him how to be a dog, and a human who has a lot of love and patience to help bring out his personality full time. He is a very playful dog once he gets to know you and would do best in a low-traffic home. Having another dog is a must for Tai. To meet him, apply for him at https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.htmlNovember 3, 2024, 7:15 pm

She is approx 11 months old and under 30lbs (we don't see her getting that much bigger). Jasmine was found as a stray near Riverside and was red-listed at the shelter due to lack of space.  From spending just more than 10 minutes with Jasmine, you'll find that she has the sweetest personality. If you're lucky enough to take her home, you'll find that she comes out of her shell and is a curious, affectionate girl. She loves playing with other dogs (she is currently fostered with another dogs and some cats) and her ideal home will have another playful dog for her to be siblings with. She is house-trained, knows basic commands, has 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye, and is just the sweetest girl.  To meet me Jasmine, submit an application at  https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.htmlApril 21, 2025, 12:12 pm

Story
Dumped on the side of the road with her 2 pups, also listed for adoptions (Thelma & Louise) She's with a great foster dad who has indulged her in attention and affection. She's coming out of her shell and will make a great family pet. If this listing is still posted, we are still accepting applications. We do not do out-of-state adoptions. We do not hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog at a mutually agreeable appointment day, time & place. Usually Petsmart Yorba Linda or our Santa Ana location near South Coast Plaza. This beautiful young girl was found at the side of the road and rescued by a kind Samaritan. She is now in foster care with a kind neighbor until she finds a great home. She is a quiet, gentle dog. She’s been through a lot and will require some patience until she gains confidence. For additional information call Lydia at 714-357-8405. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.

House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. Story
I got Jackie from a Shelter while on vacation about three years ago. She was a puppy and with litter of her siblings. They said she was an Australian cattle dog. I realized how anxious she was while driving to the airport with her and putting her in a crate for the plane (shaking and loud crying). Her anxiety has only gotten worse. She shakes a lot do the time. I do have a loud household with two teenage boys and one of them has autistic meltdowns. She loves walks and running on the beach. She loves her sister dogs. She likes meeting other dogs and other people when on walks or when on the beach but she can get easily scared and yips at dogs when scared by size or hyper movements of dogs. She likes licking hands of people she meets as long as they approach her calmly.

Ooo ooh! Pick me! Pick me! My name is Maddy and I was dumped at at high kill shelter. I was super sick (antibiotics cleared me right up!) and I was all skin and bones. Angels at AWFA rescued me in the nick of time and I am ready to find my forever family! I am such a good girl - A loving, beautiful, sweet blonde bombshell who loves everyone I meet.  I'm good with some other dogs but would love to be an only dog to get all of the attention.  I like kids but would probably do best in an adult home.  I am house trained! I'm a quiet girl but will alert you if needed. I am looking for my furever family to snuggle and cuddle and love. Is that you?! ***************************************************************    Interested in adopting this pet? Story
Meet Rocky! He's a sweet 8.5 year old Korean Jindo mix who loves attention. He loves to cuddle and be with his people. He's smart and food motivated to learn new things. His current foster puts him a sit/stay while he places his food down and then releases him to eat, which he does very well. He's also potty trained. When you talk to him he'll give you this funny look like he's trying to understand. He is ok around other dogs, until he gets impatient with them. This is very common for Jindos. He would do best in a house without other animals. His healthy recently took a turn and he can only use his back legs 5% of the time. He has seen a primary Vet, a Chiro, an internist and an Neuro and they're not sure of the cause. He is still very cognitive and fully aware of everything around him, his back legs just do not want to cooperate. He has a wheel chair which he is learning to use. He's hoping his forever home is out there to help him navigate his remaining years. He can't wait to find his forever home. Meet Rocky! He's a sweet 8.5 year old Korean Jindo mix who loves attention.
