He was rescued from the Long Beach shelter and came to us super shy and closed off. We rescued this little fella from a shelter on August 21st. Since then, he's been given all his shots and he is scheduled to be neutered on September 16th. We will pay for the surgery. He is between 8 and 10 months old. He's a very sweet boy and gets easily attached to whomever shows him patience and love. We don't know how he is with kids but he is high energy and think he would probably be best suited in a household without other dogs.

Benji "Benny" was relinquished by his owners because of health issues. They just didn't feel they could give him the home he deserves. He is a sweet little guy. He is being fostered with several dogs, ranging from 7 lbs to 80 lbs. He has a lot of energy. He sleeps in a kennel at night. He stays in a kennel when the foster parents leave to run errands (same as the rest of the dogs in the house). He uses a doggy door to take care of business.

He’s now tucked away in one of our awesome foster homes. Jax is just a puppy and loves playing with his toys and working on his brain games. He is a sweet natured boy who is a little bit shy initially. He’s very curious and will come up to sniff and investigate. Jax is a fun little co-pilot and rides will in the car and he enjoys going on small adventures. He’s relatively quiet and well mannered in the home. He is interested in other dogs on leash and greets them nicely. We think he would love to have another dog in his forever home. Jax is a 6 month old, 6 lb Chihuahua mix (maybe some Basenji or Min pin splashed in there). The best type of home for Jax would be one with a little less coming and going, and a secure environment with an owner that has time to do a little confidence building with him. ❗Current location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ • Rescue Story: He was rescued from a high-kill shelter along with his brother in Jan 2023. While his lucky brother found his forever home soon after and has been happily living with his family, Saerom was relinquished twice by his first and second families unfortunately. His former families misunderstood his teething as biting and did not like his appearance. He may have been hurt by them, but is growing as a bright pup in his current foster for the past 10 months and has learned socialization to be ready to find his true forever family. We hope he won't get hurt by humans ever again! • 3 keywords: attached to his owner/ active/ smart • Affinity with - Dogs: Generally good around other dogs! He's been behaving at a dog swimming pool or a dog cafe. - Cats: He lived with a kitten once in the current foster home, and he ended up being sweet and taking care of it :) - Kids: When he was a puppy, he lived with two kids (one elementary schooler, one kindergartener) in his previous foster home and liked playing with them. • Housetrained: uses indoor pee-pads placed in a restroom! • Barks/Howls: Only barks at the doorbell sound. • Walking Manners: He tends to pull a little out of excitement at the beginning of a walk but paces with his walker later on. • Energy Level: mid-high since he is still young! • Appetite: He eats anything well! • Car Rides: He has felt slight car sickness for a long time over 20 minutes. He came from a shelter they believed had been hit by a car he had a broken pelvis and injured leg, but we are fairly sure he was beaten. He was terrified of anything like a broom and pees and poops himself. He's getting better every day. He needs a quiet home, cats are okay, but no male dogs. He can be a sweet boy but wants to trust but we can see it in his eyes as he sizes up every situation. He loves playing with the female dogs in his foster home and can spend hours outside just running and playing. He weighs about 9 pounds, is microchipped and has been fully vaccinated. Neuter to be announced still recovering from a broken pelvis and injured leg. Please consider adopting a senior dog. They are passed over routinely in shelters and Chihuahua senior dogs who are black are then the number 2 breed most euthanized in shelters. Adopt don't shop! ##1371753##
