You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Denim is one of 7 dogs transferred to us from a rescue near the Mexico border. He is ivory with tan spots. They are an unknown mix (Lab? terrier?) and are expected to be between 50-80 pounds given their current size and weight. Demin is about 75 pounds now. They are super cute pups with lots of puppy energy! Denim is not good with kids.  He needs a quiet home with a low activity level.  He wants to be in your lap when you are watching tv.  His sister Wisteria is also available.  We are doing a two for one special for this pair.Our puppy/dog adoption fee includes: spay/neuter at 3-4 months old with our vet in San Bernardino, current shots, treatment for fleas and worms, microchip implantation and registration.  Pets can be adopted on line and picked up in store.  Our regular adoption events are on Sundays from 12-4 at the Fontana Petco.  Foster families are always needed, especially during the Spring/Summer "kitten and puppy" season. If you have a little corner in your home for a cage and a few weeks, WE NEED YOU! The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application  first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    Wilbur is a 2-year-old Basset Hound with a big heart and an even bigger personality. His family loved him but realized they didn’t have the time a young dog needs, so they began searching for a rescue to help him find the right home. Wilbur was in Mexico and needed veterinary care, and a wonderful foundation reached out to us to see if we could take him in. We happily said yes! Wilbur has now received the care he needed and is healthy, happy, and ready for his forever family. True to his breed, Wilbur is a typical hound—always cheerful and not shy about vocalizing his feelings. He loves to “talk” and will happily let you know what’s on his mind. Wilbur adores other dogs and would love a home with a playful canine companion. He also loves people and is a total snuggle bug who enjoys affection and quality time with his humans. Wilbur is an all-around wonderful dog who’s ready to give lots of love. He’s hoping to find an equally wonderful family to call his own. Wilbur‘s adoption fee: $600We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. My husband got Figgy for me for my birthday when she was just a puppy. She is very sweet, fixed, potty trained, crate trained and knows some basic commands. I have two young children and lately I've been wanting to focus on them more, but the biggest issue is our house. It had ended up becoming a project house and there are tons of things to do that will take a lot of time and money. Including our backyard. Figgy no longer has the space she used to have to run around, and I don't have the time or frankly the energy to train her or play with her as much as I want for her. She is very playful and silly and loves to be loved. We also have a cat and she has never been aggressive with him, but she definitely wants to play and he does not lol She has loved playing with every dog that she has met so if you already have a dog, I know she would love a friend to play with all the time. I hope that you love her and can give her a better life than I can. Please spoil her
