Story
Glady is about a year old and is ready to get started on her brand new life with a brand new family who would never dream in a million years of dumping her off in the country to fend for herself. However, if she could talk, we have a feeling that is exactly the story she would tell us. Onne of our foster families happened to see her wandering around looking confused and lost. They pulled up, opened the car door, she hopped in like she belonged there and off they went. They have had a for a couple of weeks to make sure she's a good girl, and they have reported she's a good girl unless you're of the feline variety. If you have kitties, they are NOT going to be pleased with the adoption of Gladys, but if you have other dogs and/or human kiddos, they'll be pleased as punch with this lovely girl. There's a lot of love and joy packed into Gladys' 45 lb-ish body. She's housebroken, nice on leash, nice medium energy level....she'll fit in with any loving family (without kitties). Apply to adopt Gladys at www.cprdogs.com. Gladys is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Gypsy — Short Legs, Big Heart, Still Waiting 💛🐾 Gypsy has been waiting… and waiting… and waiting. And honestly? She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Absolutely legendary. 🐾 Gypsy’s Highlights: ✅ 2 years old, 28 lbs ✅ Dog-friendly ✅ House & crate trained ✅ Loves walks and outdoor time ✅ Sweet, silly, and full of personality ✅ Equal parts sass, snuggles, and sunshine While Gypsy does great with other dogs, cats are an unknown — mostly because Gypsy believes squirrels are public enemy #1 — so she may prefer a home without feline roommates. What Gypsy really wants, though, isn’t much. She wants a family who will love her quirks, laugh at her goofy legs, and finally give her the forever home she’s been patiently waiting for. She’s ready to be someone’s hiking buddy, couch companion, and daily dose of happiness. 💛 Gypsy has so much love to give — she just needs someone to give her a chance. Short legs. Big heart. Endless loyalty. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Gypsy finally stop waiting and start living the life she deserves. 🐾💛

Story
Sweet baby Jasmine was brought into a crowded public pound in Louisiana in July 2025 with untreated skin issues. Due to her skin being in such rough shape, the shelter not having a vet on staff, and the fact that people aren't looking to adopt pups missing most of their hair, Jasmine was in danger of being put to sleep. A local rescue group swooped in and pulled her, and Jasmine has been healing and thriving in foster care ever since! All this amazing girl needs now is a home! As of early January 2026, Jasmine is 50lbs and almost 1 year old. We believe she is done growing. Her foster family had her DNA tested and her most prevalent breed is Basset Hound at 32%. Everything else is around 9% (including Labrador) but it is likely Jasmine is the offspring of mixed breed parents. Talk about genetic diversity! Jasmine's foster mom says, "One word to sum up Jasmine is SWEET! She loves toys - especially the kind that crinkle. She is potty trained and sleeps through the whole night in her crate without a peep. She knows the word "kennel" and will run to her crate for a treat (video in her google album below). She likes to sleep cuddled up with a stuffie (adorable photos in her google album). She likes to grab the leash in her mouth and lead the way on walks - she wants to walk you instead of you walking her. She is doing great learning basic puppy manners and tries hard to please. She is an “observer” - if a neighbor walks out while we are outside, she just stops what she is doing and watches them - she also watches the TV and her reflection in the oven door. She gets the zoomies, but overall, she is pretty calm for a puppy her age. She loves spending time outside exploring. She rarely barks but will come to you and make funny noises when she needs to go outside... it is almost like she is trying to talk." Jasmine is good with other dogs but is a little too interested in cats on her walks, so likely needs a cat free home. She has met kids on walks and was friendly with them but is not fostered with kids. Jasmine's photo album with lots of photos and videos of her healing journey: https://photos.app.goo.gl/4MdxyKgswpGLNh437 Jasmine has had a full set of puppy vaccines, is 4DX negative for heartworm and tick-borne diseases, and is current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention and deworming. She is spayed and microchipped. Her hair loss was due to demodex (a non-contagious skin condition) which she has been treated for. Jasmine is fully healed with a beautiful, healthy new coat of hair! All this darling girl needs now is a home! PAWS of Northeast Louisiana was formed in 2003. We are a small foster-based rescue and have been sending our special Southern pets to fabulous Northern homes since 2010. We work with a wonderful transport who has stops in many Northeastern / New England states: VT, CT, NY, NJ, PA, etc.
