He was discovered wandering on the streets with his mom and littermates, but, sadly, not all of them made it. Upon arriving at the rescue, Baron was grappling with a broken leg, a likely result of a hit and run. It was a tough start for this sweet boy, but Baron proved to be a remarkable trooper. With the right care and attention, he made a full recovery, showcasing his resilient spirit and unwavering will to thrive. Now, Baron is blossoming more than ever. His playful personality is starting to shine as he explores the world around him, bouncing around with enthusiasm. DOB 2/15/25), and is just as sweet as can be. She is very outgoing, happy, and loves attention. She, along with her sister (Carob) and mother (Cleo), were found in a parking area close to a storage business along with several other dogs. These 3 were happy and friendly and went running up to my foster…one even jumped in the car! Mom was in season and sister was obviously pregnant…dogs running the street when the owners should have taken the responsibility to take care of them. All 3 dogs are lucky…my foster found them and asked to bring them to our ranch. Carob is due to have her pups any day and Cleo & Cameo are vaccinated, spayed, and eating good. Now all they need is a forever home and that’s where you come in. Please give these wonderful dogs a chance. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. BUTTERCUP is the best of the best. She is definitely Bassett Hound. The rest is left to our imagination…St. Bernard for the face and coloring and tail? She is 3 yrs old…(estimated DOB 11/21/22). She also weighs 50#...but she’s not very tall at all. You can see in the video. She is the closest to the perfect dog I’ve ever seen. She is smart, calm, happy, gets along with all dogs, cats, people…Oh, my…what a sweet dog. She loves going outside and loves to sleep next to my feet at the computer…or dinner table…or next to my bed at night. She is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I haven’t had the opportunity to test her with children but I can’t imagine she’d have a problem with them unless they are loud and obnoxious…and what dog wouldn’t have a problem with that? She would love to have a home with a yard…to run and play…and a doggy door would be perfect. But, it’s not necessary…a house or apartment with many opportunities to go outside. She is not one to do lots of walking like hiking or running with you. She needs exercise…but not a lot. Don’t let her get overweight because of the Bassett legs.
