If you LOVE lowriders like we do, this is the litter for you! Big Boy is one of 6 Bassett Hound mixes traveling north! They will be 5 months at arrival and 25 pounds, and LONG and short! They are older puppies who have only known each other and so we are placing them in homes with: a friendly + playful resident dog fenced yard  no young children (no experience with them, but they've met older kids!) and cats are ok, if you have a dog-savvy cat! They spend time between on outdoor play kennel during the day, and they are inside with the family at night. These puppies are loved very much.  Rescue story––Mom was a stray and taken in by a good samaritan. She birthed her babes and they've been home raised in northern LA.  Preference is given to adopters willing to pre-adopt (commit to) a puppy or dog before arrival to MA. During this timeframe, your pups not only see our isolation vet twice but also receive additional rounds of dewormer along with pre + probiotics; transition to Canidae food; additional behavior assessments as they decompress; and so much love and thoughtfulness from our volunteers. Your pups are bathed at intake and again before pick up. All are paired in kennels with littermates or for those that travel alone, we have a rotation of volunteers to visit with them. We provide enrichment throughout the day and meditation music during nap time and through the overnight.
