Story
“I freaking love him. EASIEST FOSTER DOG YET.” Lowrider “Roux” is an amazing widget of a dog. He is fostered in North Andover MA with a resident dog and tweens. He enjoys going to family soccer games, walks, and LOVES everyone he meets…humans and dogs alike!
5 months old + 22 pounds
His foster mom says––“Roux is a confident dog with a heart of gold. He wants to be with people. He is exploratory and confident, and even went to Sierra where he walked through the busy parking lot on his leash and entered the store through the doors. Walked up to a family with three kids and went to the youngest and sat at her feet for pets. He was great!
This weekend he went to a busy soccer game, met kids, dogs and tons of people. Greeted everyone by sitting. Overall he is just easy, laid back, and keeps himself out of trouble. He is so endearing and all he wants is love and snuggles. He is so well behaved it is ridiculous. Sleeps through the night, plays so well with Jules (resident dogs) reading her body language. When she walks away he just sits. He is so mellow–like so relaxed and chill but will play and run and walk and do anything if his person is doing it. Good in the car, amazing in large crowds, stores, games. Doesn't jump up, doesn't bark or lunge or get excited at dogs walking by. Literally just sits there as people come in and out of my house. He needs a home that will love on him, give him light adventures and let him be their sidekick!”
Rescue story––Mom was a stray and taken in by a good samaritan. She birthed her babes and they've been home raised in northern LA.

WE ISOLATE OUR OWN PUPS in our state licensed facility, which means we have eyes on your puppy or dog for the MA mandated 48 hours. During this timeframe, your pups not only see our isolation vet twice but also receive additional rounds of dewormer along with pre + probiotics; transition to Canidae food; additional behavior assessments as they decompress; and so much love and thoughtfulness from our volunteers. Your pups are bathed at intake and again before pick up. All are paired in kennels with littermates or for those that travel alone, we have a rotation of volunteers to visit with them. We provide enrichment throughout the day and meditation music during nap time and through the overnight. We use these 48 hours to ready your pup to transition into a foster or adoptive home and do all that we can to reduce their stress while they are with us.
Ages listed can be approximate and breed mixes are a best guess based on physical characteristics.
