Story
Scout may be short one leg, but that sure doesn't slow him down! He's friendly and ready to go on any adventure his family can take him on! He's about 3 years old and the perfect size to be a ride-along buddy! ** Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs. When Scout arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed' game, and the most guesses were that he is a Beagle mix, but I know that's just a guess! **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.

Story
Meet Glen 🐾 If you’ve ever wished for a best friend with a nose for adventure and a heart full of love, Glen is your guy. This adorable beagle mix brings all the classic hound charm — curious, playful, and always ready to follow an interesting scent wherever it leads! Glen absolutely adores people and lights up the moment he sees his humans. He’s the kind of dog who leans in for pets, happily follows you from room to room, and just wants to be part of whatever you’re doing. He also loves other dogs and would thrive with a canine buddy to romp and explore with. With his impressive sniffing skills and classic hound nose, walks are his favorite pastime — every outing is a treasure hunt! He’d be perfect for an active family or anyone who enjoys outdoor adventures and doesn’t mind a little zig-zagging while he investigates the world. Glen is neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventions, microchipped, and dewormed — healthy, happy, and ready to head home. All he needs now is a couch to curl up on and someone to love forever. Could that be you? 💛

Story
Meet Steve 🐾 Breed: Hound Mix Title: Remote Work Supervisor & Professional Goofball Steve is a sweet, silly hound mix whose greatest life goal is being wherever you are. Bathroom break? Steve’s there. Zoom meeting? Steve’s ready. Snack run? Obviously a team activity. If you work from home, Steve will be the best coworker you’ve ever had—quiet during calls (mostly), excellent at morale boosting, and always down for a mid-day cuddle break. He believes personal space is a myth and that humans function best with a hound leaning lovingly against them at all times. Steve is equal parts lovable goof and devoted shadow. He’ll make you laugh, keep you company, and remind you that deadlines are important—but belly rubs are more important. Looking for a loyal sidekick with a sense of humor? Steve is ready to clock in… and never clock out. 🐶💻❤️

Story
Meet Jelly Roll — a beagle–terrier mix with a big personality and an “extra cuddly” build currently under renovation. 🐶 This lovable chunkster is starting his glow-up journey and is looking for a family who will cheer him on with daily walks, healthy snacks, and lots of encouragement (and belly rubs — those are non-negotiable). Jelly Roll wants his people bad — like follow-you-room-to-room, emotional-support-shadow level devotion. He’s got short legs, a waggy tail, and a face that says, “I promise I’ll exercise… right after this cuddle.” Whether he’s waddling into your lap, supervising your routine, or campaigning for extra pets, Jelly Roll brings the laughs and the love everywhere he goes. He’s funny, affectionate, and ready to trade a few pounds for a lifetime of happiness with his forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy to walk with, laugh with, and love on, Jelly Roll is ready to roll straight into your heart. 🐾

Story
We are looking to find a new home for our 3-year-old male beagle, Milo. He is house-trained, high energy, and has a very typical beagle personality—curious, playful, and always eager to be active. Milo can be skittish at first and needs time to warm up in new situations, but once he’s comfortable, he is very affectionate and loyal. He would do best in a quiet home without children or other pets, or with someone who is experienced and understands slow, patient introductions. While he has been around other animals and has generally done well, he can become growly with large male dogs. We are rehoming him due to aggressive behavior toward our daughter, we want to make sure Milo is placed in a home that truly fits his needs. Milo is not neutered, is due for a vet checkup and vaccinations, and is a full beagle (no papers). We are simply looking for the right, experienced, and active person or family who can provide consistency, reassurance, and a safe environment.
