Lucy is a very sweet rescue beagle. She was picked up walking down the side of a road in South Carolina. The rescuers believed she was 2-3 years old. Was homeless and on her own but showed signs of physical abuse. We think she is about 9 years old now. Despite her very tough life before being adopted, she showed nothing but affection to her rescuers and fellow kennel mates. She was very tiny and energetic when my mother got her, but as with most beagles, loved to eat and put on weight. She is currently overweight and doesn't like to walk but loves to cuddle up. A perfect fit for someone who is not looking for a high energy dog but just a loving, easy-going companion to relax with. My mother has moved to an assisted living facility and can no longer take care of pets. We have two very skittish cats. We don't think Lucy would harm them, but barks when they get too close which makes the cats a nervous wreck.

**Gypsy** is a sweet mama dog who has overcome so much. She was found living under a church with her litter of puppies, doing everything she could to protect and care for her babies. After being rescued, Gypsy is learning what it means to be safe, loved, and cared for. She is looking for a patient and loving family who will give her the time she needs to adjust and continue to blossom. A securely fenced yard is required so she can safely enjoy the outdoors and relax in her new home. Gypsy deserves a family who will show her that her days of struggling are behind her and that she is finally home.

Buddy is a good dog very friendly. He does get selfish with things especially when it concernes other dogs. He needs open spaces where he can run and I don’t have such a space because I live in a neighborhood. He escapes the fence and runs around and I have to collect him and that’s not fair. He doesn’t hurt anyone or anything but he cannot be let loose or he will be picked up and taken to the pound. He has to be walked around the yard by a leash and my schedule doesn’t accommodate this any longer.

Kaylie is a Beagle/Hound mix of about 4 years. She presently weighs 25 to 30 pounds and will mature to 35 pounds. Kaylie came to us as a stray, an emaciated girl who had obviously been through a lot. With the good care we have given her she has gained weight as well as her voice. She’s high energy, loves jumping and playing with her dog buddies as well as any toys she can find. What a sweet girl she is!
