Meet Luca! This baby-faced boy transferred to us from the San Diego Humane Society. When Luca first arrived, he was scared, wanted nothing to do with the staff, and would follow us when we turned around only to run away the second we turned to face him. It wasn't long before he warmed up to us, and now he is glued to our sides asking for attention and giving endless kisses! Whenever Luca is not preoccupied with playing amongst his friends or roaming across the play yard, he's hopping around us and asking for our full attention! We recently took in this beautiful girl, she’s a Redtick Beagle. She’s 3 years old. She came from the same home as Rusty (another Beagle we recently posted about separately). Ginger is very sweet but she needs some time to get to know you and trust you. We’ve been fostering for a week and now and we finally get to see her real personality, she only needed some time. She loves attention, hanging out with our other Beagles, go out for walks (she walks ok on a leash, just pulls a bit). She’s treat motivated, which will help with her training. She’s 23lbs, she was a bit underweight when she arrived but she looks great now. We rescued her from a family that decided they couldn’t keep her and Rusty longer and was about to place them in a shelter. Ginger was an outdoor dog, so she’ll need a family that will help her with house/potty training, she wasn’t crate trained either, we’ve been working on it and she’s doing great. A home with a Beagle lover family and a nice backyard would be her perfect home! We were told that she’s used to kids and good with them, but again she needs some time to settle in. Unknown about how she does around cats, we have no known history and we don’t have any in our home to test. Included with adoption: - Vet wellness exam - Vaccinations up to date (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies) - Rabies Certificate - Fecal test (Negative results) - FLEX4 test; Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Lyme (Negative results) - Heartworm/Flea/Tick/Worm preventive given up to date (Simparica Trio) - Microchip with prepaid lifetime enrollment (AKC reunite) - Spay surgery - Leash, harness and collar with microchip ID collar tag - Adoption contract - Some of her current food (Kirkland, salmon based) Ginger is ready to be adopted. 'Colby' Beagle/Spaniel X, male, 5 yr old, 27 lbs'Colby' Spaniel/Beagle Mix - Male 5 years - 27 lbsColby is an adorable 27 pound beagle mix that was hit by a car in Mexico and left to die on the side of the road. He was rescued by us and brought to the USA. We have had this little sweety in the rescue for a time now and are looking for the right home or a foster. He is good with other dogs and loves to play. He has a cart and drag bag. He does need his bladder expressed but we can teach you how to do that. He is NOT totally paraplegic (see video) but mostly. So he still wears a diaper/belly band when inside. But outside in the dog yard he plays and 'stumbles' about. But boy can he move! Our adoption fee through our rescue covers the dog being fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered, dewormed and flea treated.
