Story
Meet Luca! This baby-faced boy transferred to us from the San Diego Humane Society. When Luca first arrived, he was scared, wanted nothing to do with the staff, and would follow us when we turned around only to run away the second we turned to face him. It wasn't long before he warmed up to us, and now he is glued to our sides asking for attention and giving endless kisses! Whenever Luca is not preoccupied with playing amongst his friends or roaming across the play yard, he's hopping around us and asking for our full attention! Regarding COVID-19 and other contagious illnesses: Please reschedule any visits if you are sick.

Grace is a wonderful pup that is true to her beagle nature. She loves to lay about and bake in the sun between her adventures and zoomies. She loves to live with another dog to have as a playmate, she even does well with cats and children! She’s done some agility training and enjoys it quite a bit (especially with treats involved). She likes ramps and jumping hoops and tunnels. She loves to play with toys and chew bones but really likes to wind down with her “momma dog”.

Story
Max is an amazing dog, he is a year old and is such a sweet boy. We adopted him from the shelter and he had some bad separation anxiety(chewing objects mostly) but has gotten much better over time. He isn’t very fond of male figures. He isn’t aggressive but has shown sign of being very submissive to men. We are rehoming him because his caretaker is getting older and isn’t able to care for him the way he deserves. He is a work in progress pup but he is so worth it. He gets along with kids wonderfully and has no problems with cats and other dogs. He is happy boy he just needs some extra love and attention, his ideal home would be with a woman and children. Please reach out if you have any questions I am happy to answer them. We really don’t want to take him back to the shelter we are hoping someone can help us through this transition. He is only due for two of his vaccines one that is due this month of may and one that was due in January I have all of his paperwork also from the shelter.

Story
We were recently contacted by a family that’s in need of rehoming their 4 adult Beagles due to no fault of their own, we were told that they no longer have enough time to care for them as their lifestyle has changed and now they travel often. They’re all mostly outdoor dogs and are only crate trained (they sleep indoors at night). So we’ll be looking for families that would be able to train them to become indoor pets. Not bonded, we can place them in separate homes. We’re hoping to take them in as soon as we can so we start their Vet care, spay/neuter, etc. But we need to have some families lined up for at least some of them to be able to commit cause they’re several. All are good around kids, we were told that they have 2 kids in the family (16yo and 7yo). Skyler. This is what we know about him by his current family: “This is Skyler: He’s a 2 years old tri chocolate (brown/tan/white) boy. Super playful. Bigger than the rest. Strong. He loves to sleep in the sun. Loves to play with balls. He's hyper.” Included with adoption: - Vet wellness exam - Vaccinations up to date (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies) - Rabies Certificate - Fecal test: (Pending results) - FLEX4 test (Heartworm, Anaplasma, Ehrilichia & Lyme): (Pending results) - Heartworm/Flea/Tick/Worm preventive will be given (Simparica Trio) - Microchip with prepaid lifetime enrollment (AKC reunite) - Neuter surgery - Leash and collar with microchip ID collar tag - Adoption contract - Some of his current food Pick up would be in San Diego, CA. Transportation could be arranged to the right home, if needed. If Skyler sounds like a potentially good fit for your family, and you’d be interested in adopting soon, feel free to fill out our adoption application form and we’ll be back with you. We’ll update the post once we receive more pics (the Beagle next to him is his father). Adoption fee is listed in the post.

Story
Matilda is a sweet tricolor Beagle. Her approximate age is 5 years old. She’s on the smaller side, weights 24lbs. She was in a rough shape when we took her in but she’s all good now. Looks like she was used for breeding. We were told that she was an outdoor dog at her original home. She’s now crate trained, she sleeps indoors in her crate at night and working on her potty training using a doggie door. We didn’t receive much explanations as of why they surrendered her, just that they couldn’t keep her anymore. Anyway, what matters now is that Matilda needs a loving forever home! She’d love a nice couch to lay on with her people, she’s a sweet girl, she’s full of life and active/playful. She’s ok with other dogs, kids and loving with her people, unknown about cats. A Beagle experienced family would be amazing! Matilda is currently being fostered with a great family in Oxnard, CA (one of our previous adopters). This is what her foster family says about her: “We are fostering this little girl named Matilda, She is doing fantastic with our beagle pack of 4. She did great on a 4 hour drive back to our house. She’s been sleeping all night in her crate, without any issues. She learned now to use a doggie door in just a small amount of time, potty training is going great. She loves being around people and plays with our youngest Beagle constantly. She is a really good girl and is a great companion or addition to a pack…” Included with adoption: - Vet wellness exam - Vaccinations up to date (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies) - Rabies Certificate - Fecal test: Negative results - FLEX4 test: Negative results for Heartworm, Anaplasma and Lyme. Positive result for Ehrlichia - Medication to treat Ehrlichia (1 month of Doxycycline pills) - Heartworm/Flea/Tick/Worm preventive given up to date (Simparica Trio) - Microchip with prepaid lifetime enrollment (AKC reunite) - Spay surgery - Dental + 1 tooth extraction - Leash and collar with microchip ID collar tag - Adoption contract - Some of her current food Matilda is ready to be adopted, she already finished her treatment. Pick up location to be discussed (we’re located in San Diego and she’s being fostered in Oxnard). Transportation could be arranged to the right home, if needed. If Matilda sounds like a good fit for your family, and you’re interested in adopting her, feel free to fill out our adoption application form and we’ll get back to you. Adoption fee is listed in this post.
