You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I found this sweet puppy wandering on a busy street, narrowly avoiding becoming a victim of traffic. After rescuing her, I managed to locate her owner, who had adopted her from the San Diego Humane Society as an 8-week-old puppy. Sadly, the owner, a senior citizen residing in a care facility, admitted she was unable to handle Sierra's boundless energy and felt misled about her breed. When she reached out for help, I couldn't refuse. Now named Sierra, this 5-month-old pup is a whirlwind of happiness and enthusiasm. She adores people and dogs of all sizes and coexists peacefully with our foster cats. Sierra would blossom as a family dog, particularly with older, considerate children. She enjoys walks and car rides and would thrive with consistent puppy training. This cutie pie was found roaming the streets in Mexicali and 120 weather. She was exhausted, dehydrated and hungry. Maria was covered in ticks and fleas but is like brand new now after a bath, Bravecto and some tender loving care. She has a joyful personality and is a joy to be with. Poppy is a super sweet 4 year old dog. She loves to play fetch and chase birds. She is house and crate trained. She knows commands like sit, lay down, go to bed, and leave it. She takes a while to warm up because she is an anxious dog, but once she warms up she loves to cuddle. She is startles at loud noise and sudden movements. We have a small toddler and his rambunctiousness is the reason we are rehoming her. We don’t think it’s fair for us to stress her out with all of the loud noises and thrown toys that come with a toddler and we can’t devote the same time we were able to previously and think she will thrive in a calmer environment.

Little Chickpea arrived at Bonita Shelter with inflamed skin and hair loss due to a skin infection. When she was not claimed, we welcomed her as a Frosted Face on January 6th. Chickpea is estimated to be 14 years old and weighs just 13 pounds. She is a sweet little girl who is now safe, loved, and healing. Thankfully, Chickpea's skin is now healthy, and she has regrown soft fur. Chickpea went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about her in a home environment while she receives lots of TLC. Her foster mom shared this update: "Chickpea is so sweet and gives me sweet kisses on my nose or cheek when I pick her up. She likes to be held like a baby. She tries to burrow in her blankets, but she isn’t very good at it, so we usually do it for her. Chickpea gets along with our senior dog and is unfazed by the cat. She naps most of the day when we are at work and shows no separation anxiety. Chickpea likes walks and doesn’t stop! She is a bit slow but with a retractable leash, she isn’t ever too far behind. She isn’t interested in other dogs on walks and will take pets. She likes rides in the stroller, too. Chickpea is looking so much better! Her skin has responded so well to treatment. And she was SO thin and has gained weight with extra meals. She is now quite the foodie and runs to get to her bowl! Chickpea deserves a soft place to spend her golden years.
