This cutie pie was found roaming the streets in Mexicali and 120 weather. She was exhausted, dehydrated and hungry. Maria was covered in ticks and fleas but is like brand new now after a bath, Bravecto and some tender loving care. She has a joyful personality and is a joy to be with. Lexi Beech was surrendered to LA's Animal Care & Control's Baldwin Park Shelter by her owner for unknown reasons. Weighing just 31 lbs., Lexi is a petite pittie with a super sweet personality. Lexi went on a month-long Frosted Fling and received lots of TLC in the comfort of a home while learned all about her. Her foster mom shared this wonderful report: "Lexi is a dream dog! I had her for a little over a month, and she was an easy addition to the household. Lexi is good with all dogs, approaches all people for pets now, and LOVES a good nighttime snuggle. She is deaf and almost blind, but don’t let that fool you- she’ll find you and food anywhere, anytime!! Lexi is really excited and playful when I first come through the door. It’s very cute! She’s a very different dog than the shy, quiet one I picked up. Lexi follows me around for pets, lies next to me all night long, knows the best begging poses, and makes the cutest noises when you rub her ears just right. While all of her puppies have been adopted, she is still waiting for her forever home.  Testimonial from Oreo's foster family - "Oreo really enjoys companionship and just spending time by your side! She likes the company of other dogs as well, and gets along well with everyone. She seems to enjoy hanging out the best with male dogs. Oreo lives with cats without any problem.  We assume Oreo was mistreated in her previous home before ending up in the shelter system, as she can be scared by sudden movements and is learning to recognize that she's not in danger anymore. She has come a long way and has made amazing progress.  She is still learning to walk on a leash, but she loves to play and bounce around. She enjoys having a quiet and cozy corner to lay down in after she's done having fun. She loves to cuddle and give kisses." ##2558723##
