Story
Bingo is a sweet little guy that traveled all the way from Kansas to find a new home in Colorado! He can be a bit shy at first, but with a gentle approach and some patience, he warms right up. Bingo has enjoyed the company of other dogs who are tolerant of his puppy energy. He will appreciate a playful, fun dog in his next home, and is not the right fit for an aloof or uninterested canine companion. To ensure a good fit, a dog meet is required for multi-dog households. Due to his sensitive nature, HSBV will only rehome him to a family either without children or with children over the age of 10.

Story
Evee | 24 lbs | 3 years old Meet Evee! This little girl came to POSO after being found living on the streets in Texas with her puppies and their dad. She had a very hard start to life, but after a little more than a month in foster, Evee is showing us more and more of the sweet, playful girl hiding underneath all that uncertainty. She has come such a long way. She can walk on leash, loves her treats and chews, and has recently started showing off her playful side in the mornings. She is incredibly smart, food motivated, and learning pet life quickly. She absolutely loves other dogs, quickly latches onto male but also has two foster sisters she loves. And she is also currently living with a cat and doing wonderfully! She will need at least one doggy sibling in her adoptive home to help her feel safe. Evee is happiest when she has her people and other dogs nearby. She does well in her crate when other dogs are in the room, but she can get lonely when left completely on her own. At home, she is a total shadow dog and follows her foster parents around the house. She does love to hang out in the sun in the yard or curl up on her dog bed while watching tv A few things to know about Evee as she is a feral girl still: - Potty trained, has never had an accident - She has the cutest head tilts - Medium-energy girl who will enjoy regular walks and adventures - Loves walks, walks well on leash - She is extremely food motivated - She needs a confident canine sibling to help her navigate the world - She will need patience and understanding as she continues adjusting to life as a house dog - She is still learning that people, new experiences, and the world around her aren't so scary - She is okay with handling as long as you move slowly with her Evee is looking for someone who will meet her where she is, celebrate the little wins, and give her the time she needs to blossom. We have a feeling that once Evee realizes she is safe, she is going to be an incredibly fun, loyal, and special companion. Watching her discover how wonderful life can be has already been so rewarding—and we can't wait to see what she becomes with the right family. For more photos and videos of Evee's progress, follow her foster mom on Instagram at @wander_adventurously. Medical: **Spayed 7/14 **Microchipped **Up to date on basic shots (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies) **4dx testing, negative for tick diseases but postive for Heartworm. Story
Hi, my name is Daisy, and I love to play and search for food! I am 12 pounds and physically in great shape, but behaviorally I have some challenges due to inbreeding. After a lot of work with a vet and a trainer, my mom and dad believe I would thrive in a one-person household with no other animals and a consistent routine. I also need a patient human who can take the time to understand my special needs - which my owners will be happy to go over in-depth. I'd also love someone who can take me outdoors a lot to sniff and explore!

Story
Cotton's engaging and sweet nature is just waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated. She is such a wonderful being. We think she represents the best qualities of both the Dachshund and Beagle breeds. At just about 18 months old and 18 lbs, Cotton is the perfect size for neighborhood strolls (once comfortable in her environment), long walks in the Colorado mountains, car rides to dog-friendly destinations or fun backyard play. All would speak to Cotton's love of coming along and being with her family. She would love nothing more than to spend a day of play and walks followed by crashing on the couch for belly rubs and snuggles all night long. Cotton initially may be shy and a bit frightened due to all the changes in her life. Once comfortable and past her fears, Cotton will become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please. The happier her family is with her behavior, the more she shines with her accomplishments. We would love to see sweet Cotton in a home that includes her in family time and activities. She's loving and as sweet as can be and will thrive in a dog-loving and very nurturing environment. Cotton will be a wonderful companion for active retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with an adorable fluffy pup. Our sweet girl will initially be a bit frightened (after her experience at a scary shelter, she needs time and patience to come out of her shell) but some kind words, a loving hug and a yummy treat, and Cotton falls deeply in love. Cotton doesn't require another dog to be happy. She loves her people dearly and if they're attentive and loving, this sweet and loyal girl will be fulfilled and very happy. If a gentle dog is already part of the family, that's great with Cotton as well. She enjoys her time spent in the company of a canine and that dog will become Cotton's best friend. Cotton will do well with any loving guardian who's invested in spending time with their dog. She's so pleasant and portable that she can be a part of any adventure. It can be a leisurely walk, a picnic in the park or a visit with family or friends. A car ride is also always great, especially if it leads to a fun, dog-loving spot. At day's end, a spot on or beside the bed all night will speak to the loving nature of this little dog. Cotton has a lovely tri-colored coat that is currently shelter-sad. Once she is given the gift of sudsy baths and great nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are perfect for longevity and coat care) her coat will become the cottony-soft hair that speaks of her good health. Current research is very clear that the best diet we can provide for our pets is a fresh, human grade diet. Farfel's recommends Chi Diet (chidog.com) due to our personal experience with our own dogs. It's one of the most important choices we make for our dogs great health and longevity. Cotton's Texas rescuer had the following to say about our sweet girl: Miss Cotton is a one of a kind special girl. She is so full of sweet energy and is as happy as can be once she's comfortable in her environment. Miss C had a difficult start in life and is now understanding that she's a wonderful being. I can observe her self-esteem growing stronger each day. It's truly a joy to see! Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement/force-free training classes that are virtual or in-person. We therefore aren't willing to adopt Cotton out to a home that doesn't choose to offer her this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement / force-free virtual and in-person trainers in your area. Cotton will be up to date on her vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. She has also been spayed to support our hopes for zero future growth in the canine population. Cotton will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Wednesday 9/16/2026. Adoption applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and cuddly best friend. An app can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Cotton, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder, Rescueme and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
