Story
Atom is a very sweet, very chill dog. He’s great with young kids and other dogs although we don’t know how he does living with another dog, cats are unknown. He’s incredibly gentle and friendly and loves to be around everyone. He doesn’t know how to play with toys but loves to chew on bones. He has a little bit of anxiety but does well if you’re patient with him. He is not crate trained and has a lot of separation anxiety. We’re welcoming our 4th baby and unfortunately has just become too much to care for a dog in the mix.

Story
We rescued Daisy in Oklahoma 6 years ago. After doing a DNA test, we found out she is highly inbred, which likely explains a lot of her behavioral issues. Physically, she is only 12 pounds and in great shape, but behaviorally she has a lot of challenges. We have been working with an experienced trainer since moving to Colorado, and she has explained the effects of the inbreeding to us. Daisy does not know how to "turn off." She gets overstimulated very easily and gets stuck in patterns that she thinks is self-soothing but actually keeps overstimulating her (ex. Seeking physical affection then growling at the person petting her; growling/howling when she is with me and my partner moves around in another room of the house; licking things obsessively). After a lot of discussion, we believe she needs a one-person household with no other animals and a strict routine to thrive. She also needs a patient human who ideally can take her outdoors a lot as she loves to sniff and explore.

Siri looks like someone took a Basset Hound body and attached a giant Beagle head to it. She has the long body, chunky build, curved feet, and classic Basset shape from head to tail. The only giveaway that something else is mixed in there are her slightly shorter ears and adorable oversized-Beagle expression. At around 2 years old, Siri is a happy, friendly girl who genuinely seems to enjoy life. She loves people, enjoys spending time with her family, and approaches the world with an easygoing attitude. Siri is wonderful with other dogs and also great with cats. She is social without being overwhelming and fits naturally into a group. She loves car rides, walks nicely on leash, and does well in a crate. In other words, she is the kind of dog that is easy to include in everyday life, whether you're running errands, taking a walk, or just relaxing at home. Most of all, Siri is sweet.
