Hi, I am Harley. I am a happy, gentle and loving pup looking for a home. I like to explore, cuddle and chew on bones. I can be vocal so I might not do best in a apartment setting. I would love to meet you.

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Kipper please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever, Kipper is the guy you want to have around! Kipper, at just 1 year old and 20 lbs is just naturally a lover! Kipper is a cute as can be Beagle (does not appear to be mixed, although we cannot say for sure). He is EXTREMELY sweet. Kipper was found walking the streets of Texas alone and confused. He was brought into a small rural shelter, and they immediately reached out to Farfel's to help this sweet boy. Kipper is now ready to start his new life in Colorado. From Kipper’s foster mom: “He is really, really good! So cuddly and affectionate.. you can tell he is just so happy to have been rescued. He’s great with dogs and he’s sooo sweet with people. He’s a really good boy and totally goes with the flow. He’s just such a good boy!!” Farfel's Rescue and our Texas rescue partners would love to see Kipper in a home with an individual, family (older kids are preferred, as he has NOT been kid-tested) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet dog. We'd hate to see Kipper left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home, as he is much too social for that type of arrangement. We'd like to place Kipper in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. Most of the time these rescue dogs have not had any training. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Story
Meet Rusty, the resilient 7 1/2-year-old Beagle with a heart of gold! Rusty's journey from Oklahoma might have had a rocky start, but he's proven that he's a true survivor. Despite a very small heart condition, he's a spunky old man with lots of love to give. Rusty's smile is infectious, and he's an absolute sweetheart with everyone he meets, whether they have fur, feathers, or skin. Well, except for the great outdoors – Rusty's not too keen on going outside sometimes, but with patience and love, he's making progress on mastering the art of potty breaks. This Beagle is no ordinary pup; he's sharp as a tack and ready to learn. Give him love, take him on walks, and make sure he gets his meds, and you'll have a loyal friend for life. Rusty is eager to find a forever home where he can share his heartwarming smile and make wonderful memories. Are you ready to give Rusty the love and care he deserves?

Story
Raymond came to us as a foster pup through Paws Co. After failing 3 potential adoptive homes, Raymond was on his way back to the shelter when we decided to intervene. Unfortunately, Raymond was placed into adoptive homes which didn’t allow him to thrive. We believe Raymond would do best in a calm home, with humans who are home most of the time, no children or only older children and either as an only dog or with a very mellow dog companion. Raymond has been working 1 on 1 with a dog trainer and his trainer is very impressed with his smarts and quick learning style. Raymond is fully house trained, knows lots of tricks including sit, stay, shake and high five and uses the dog door with ease. He also loves to sleep under the covers at the foot of the bed and will come ask permission each night to be let in ❤️ Raymond has just started playing with toys, getting the Zoomies and playing with our pup Banjo so we are really excited that he’s learning to trust in a loving routine.
