Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet Your New Adventure Buddy! Born on March 15, I'm a Beagle/Blue Heeler mix with the perfect combination of brains, charm, and a zest for life! I'll grow into a medium-sized dog, making me the perfect size for all of life's adventures. If you're looking for a pup who's always smiling, always ready to play, and always happy to see you, you've found him! I have a happy-go-lucky personality that makes every day a little brighter. Whether we're hiking, exploring the backyard, splashing in the water (one of my favorite things!), or curling up after a fun day, I'm just happy to be by your side. I'm a smart boy who loves learning, and I'll thrive with a family that enjoys keeping my mind busy. Since I'm still a puppy, I'll be excited to learn all the things that make me the best companion I can be. I absolutely adore people and have so much love to give, but I'd be happiest in a home with another playful dog. Having a canine buddy to wrestle, chase, and share adventures with would make my tail wag nonstop! If you're looking for a sweet, intelligent, fun-loving pup who's ready to fill your home with laughter and love, I can't wait to meet you. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let's start our next adventure together! 🐾💙

Story
PLEASE NOTE: We are a Texas-based rescue. This dog is currently in Texas and will be transported to your state once adopted. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet Clementine! Hi there! My name is Clementine, and I'm a 3-month-old Beagle/Catahoula mix with a big personality to match my big paws! I currently weigh about 15 pounds, and when I'm all grown up, I'll likely be between 35–45 pounds—the perfect size for all of life's adventures. I'm the biggest puppy in my litter, and I wear that title proudly! I'm confident, athletic, and always ready to see what's around the next corner. Whether it's racing around the backyard, exploring new trails, or chasing after my favorite toy, I love being on the move. My Catahoula side gives me the drive and athleticism to keep up with an active family, while my Beagle side makes sure I never miss an interesting scent along the way. I've got a beautiful freckled white coat with striking black and tan markings that make me just as unique on the outside as I am on the inside. I'm smart, curious, and eager to learn, so I'd love a family that will keep my mind busy and include me in all of their adventures. When the day's excitement is over, I'm happy to settle in for some well-earned snuggles. I believe the best adventures are the ones shared with the people you love. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's equal parts confident, athletic, affectionate, and ready to take on the world, I think we're meant to be. So, what do you say? Let's start our next adventure together! 🩷🐾

Story
Meet Janie! 7 years old | Reisterstown, MD Some dogs bounce back quickly after change… Janie is quietly learning how to heal. After losing both her dog sibling and, shortly after, her beloved owner, Janie’s entire world changed. Everything familiar — her home, routine, and sense of security — disappeared. Now, this gentle girl is looking for a soft place to land and a family willing to help her feel safe again. Janie is the definition of a sweet, easygoing companion. She may not immediately climb into your lap for attention, but she has slowly started seeking out gentle affection on her own terms — and those little moments feel incredibly special. Once she trusts you, her quiet love shines through. Janie’s Favorites & Personality •Low-energy, calm companion •Loves car rides •Enjoys chewing on bones and frozen Kongs •Likes soft toys and cozy naps •Gentle, kind, and quietly affectionate The Basics • Mostly house trained • Dog-friendly (and would love a dog companion!) • Great with kids, including visiting nieces and nephews • Walks nicely on leash • Happy to sleep in bed with her people Janie truly seems happiest with another dog nearby and people around more often. She currently spends long stretches crated and manages, but it causes her anxiety — she would thrive in a home where someone is home more frequently or has a flexible/work-from-home schedule. Janie’s Dream Home • A fenced yard to safely explore and sniff around • A friendly resident dog for companionship • A family home more often than not • Patient adopters willing to let her settle in at her own pace Janie doesn’t need much — just kindness, patience, and a family willing to give her time to bloom again. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will quietly steal your heart, Janie may be your perfect match.

Story
Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption only $200, in TX

Story
CURLY Breed: hound-beagle mix Age: 1 year Weight: 55 pounds Adoption Fee: $275 Vetting Status: neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed and maintained on heartworm preventatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Curly is a super social, kissy, big guy. He adores all his doggie friends, large & small. Although he has not been tested with children, we suspect that he would absolutely love to have kids to play with! Curly originally came into rescue labeled a beagle/beagle mix & has grown into his puppy legs, proving to be more of a hound mix in size. He is crate trained, housetrained & OK on a leash.... though he would much prefer to run crazy in your fenced backyard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CURLY is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!
