Hello! We took Kyra in after a couple purchesed her and could not keep up with caring for and their other dog. They weren’t being very nice to her, so we took her in so she would be safe. Our kids renamed her Judo, so she responds to that. She will be 2 years old in December. Unfortunately, we’re a busy family with young kids and we can’t give her the attention she needs. She is very high energy and loves to play with our young kids, she has also been around my parents dog and they get along very well. She is potty trained and crate trained. We hope we can find the right family for her, we’ll miss her dearly but have hope that there’s another family out there that can love her and give her the time she needs.

MEET INGRID! This vibrant and beautiful beagle is named Ingrid! Despite being an older girl, Ingrid is full of life, especially now that she's received a second chance. Estimated to be around 10 years old, Ingrid was found as a stray and brought to a local animal shelter. We don't know anything about her past, so we're working to ensure her future is the one she deserves! Ingrid is a petite girl, weighing around 20–25 lbs. She's blissfully unaware of her age: her favorite activities include running laps around the yard at her foster home, climbing cat trees like her foster kitten siblings (and miraculously not knocking them over), and being as close to her human friends as possible. Ingrid's foster home includes other dogs and cats of all sizes and ages, as well as children, and she has even had the chance to meet chickens! We think she'd be happiest in a home with other pets. Ingrid is also a bit of a shadow dog, so expect her to be your constant sidekick whenever you're home, never missing a chance to cuddle. Of course, Ingrid embodies everything beagles are known for: baying like a trumpet, eating any food she can sniff out, and loving everybody she meets. Because of her playful energy, love of exploration, and tendency to follow her nose like beagles do, Ingrid would do best in a home with a secure fence. Ingrid is still working on her housebreaking skills and will need a bit of patience while she adjusts to her new home and schedule. She knows she's supposed to pee outside, and she will, but she can't always hold it for long periods. Ingrid has been fully vetted since coming to the rescue: she is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Ingrid is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! Interested in adopting her?
