Introducing Kevin Pawstner – a 3-year-old, 26 lb beagle with the heart of a hero and the zoomies of a firecracker! Found as a stray, this tenacious little guy is now stealing hearts in Northeast Florida. He recently stole the show on a local program, River City Live! Kevin is healthy, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines—ready to leap into his next role as your loyal sidekick. He’s crate trained, housebroken, and adores kids and most dogs. He is particular about his dog friends. Sorry, no cats allowed in this action flick. He’s happy, energetic, and would crush agility or scent work. Just like his namesake Kevin Costner, he’s loyal, protective, and doesn’t take any guff—especially from dogs he doesn’t vibe with (cue dramatic growling scene). Adoption fee is $250. Home visits are required and non-negotiable. Adoptable through The London Sanctuary. Fostered in Baker County, Florida. Ready to add some blockbuster energy to your life? Story
Jax is a goofy, cuddle-crazy beagle mix whose favorite things are to explore all the smells in the backyard, go on walks, and have his belly scratched. He’s five years old, crate trained (he actually even prefers sleeping in his crate), and likes hanging around with our other dog. We took Jax in because my sister moved out of the country as a Missionary. We’ve had him for two years; during that time we’ve worked at integrating him into our lives and busy schedule, but truthfully he needs a little more attention than we can afford. He does suffer from separation anxiety, and his nose can get him into mischief (classic beagle). He does “ok” with kids but would probably thrive with empty nesters who want to make him the center of attention. Would love to find him a good home where he can get more exercise/walks and be around his owners a good portion of the day.

Story
Rogue is the best dog ever she is 9 years old going on 10. It hurts me having to do this but my schedule is too hard to give her the best life I can give her. I had her since she was a puppy. She is a sweetheart she loves her cuddle time on the couch or sleeping in the bed with you. And you can always find her wrapped up in a pile of blankets! She is very smart. She even taught her self how too use the pee pad in the house this year. She loves her walks and love chicken. She enjoys just sniffing around the house so a fenced in backyard is a must. She is very gentle and loves being pet. She is very vocal and will tell you want she wants. She is very trained. This hurts me having to do this but I want the best for her and I know she can make a family very happy.

Story
Meet Kevin — From Heaven! ☁️🐶 Sometimes the tiniest little souls have the biggest stories. At just 2 months old and 5 pounds, sweet Kevin was rescued along with his sibling in a rainstorm, with no mama in sight. 💔 We may never know how he ended up there, but we do know one thing: Kevin was meant to be saved. This little munchkin is now safe and discovering just how wonderful life can be! 🥰 Kevin LOVES toys, LOVES toes, and LOVES to play! He is incredibly sweet, playful, curious, and full of puppy joy. He absolutely adores other dogs and cats, too! Kevin is the kind of puppy who will make you smile simply by being himself. His little paws, playful antics, and sweet personality are impossible to resist. ❤️ He has already received his puppy shots and is currently being fostered in Puerto Rico. He is not yet neutered and is not potty trained, so his forever family should be ready for all the fun (and a little bit of chaos!) that comes with raising a baby puppy. 🐾 Kevin has survived a scary beginning. Now he deserves the happily-ever-after he was meant to have — a family who will love him, protect him, teach him, and let him grow into the wonderful dog he is destined to become. A little puppy who was caught in the rain… and somehow was found and rescued. Now all he needs is his forever home. Now all he needs is YOU. 💙 Kevin's adoption fee includes transportation to anywhere in the mainland United States, so his forever home can be wherever his heart is meant to go. ✈️🐶 Could you be Kevin's happily-ever-after? If this sweet little boy has stolen your heart, please don't wait. His forever family is out there. 🥹❤️

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mabel was found in March, dumped, and roaming in a large hunting preserve. She was severely underweight and covered in ticks and fleas. Despite all of that, she was immediately friendly and just wanted love—even while we were pulling ticks off of her. For the first two weeks, she was so afraid of being indoors that she slept in our Florida room and would not come fully inside the house. With time and patience, she has warmed up and is now a total ham. She is fully vetted: Up to date on vaccinations Microchipped  On Simparica Trio for fleas, ticks, and parasites Personality & Household CompatibilityMabel is affectionate, playful, goofy, and has a classic beagle personality. She has discovered the joy of: Having her own bed Sharing human beds with people and other dogsShe loves snuggles, belly rubs, and light play/wrestling. She’s on the clumsy side when she’s excited on the bed, which just adds to her charm. She currently lives peacefully with: Multiple dogs Cats A ferret A 9‑year‑old child She has done well with all of them. She genuinely enjoys other dogs and likes to cuddle and play with canine friends. She’s estimated to be around 6 years old, but still has a good amount of play in her. Known Challenges & Training NeedsGiven her history, I strongly suspect she was an outdoor dog and likely abused. She has physical scars, and behaviorally she tends to shut down with any negative reinforcement, so she absolutely needs a positive‑reinforcement, beagle‑savvy home. Areas we are still working on: Potty training:She’s made progress but isn’t 100% consistent yet. To be fair, we have two senior dogs who use potty pads, which makes things confusing for her. A more straightforward setup and consistent routine should help her continue to improve. Resource guarding: Mabel came to us extremely thin and food-insecure. She has gained over 10 pounds since arriving and looks much healthier, but she still guards food and will steal from other dogs if given the chance. She currently eats separately and does best with structured mealtimes. Her guarding has only involved growling and occasional barking—she has never bitten or made contact over resources in my home. She can also guard human attention and bed space a bit, so adopters should be comfortable with management and positive training around this. Recall: Her nose is all beagle—once she’s on a scent, her recall can suffer. A securely fenced yard is strongly preferred, and off‑leash should be limited to safe, enclosed areas. Chewing: She is still a chewer and is learning what’s appropriate vs. off‑limits. She does well when supervised with proper chew options and will need ongoing guidance here. Ears: She has chronically yeasty ears and will need regular at‑home ear care (enzymatic washes and otic cleaner) to keep them comfortable.  Crate & vocalization: Mabel is not great in a crate at this point and is very vocal, as you’d expect from a beagle. She uses her voice outside and will bark at the door when she’s ready to come in. A home that understands beagle volume and doesn’t share walls with sensitive neighbors would be ideal. Ideal HomeMabel would do best in: A beagle‑experienced (or hound‑experienced) home With at least one other dog of similar age and energy level for companionship and play Ideally, with someone who works from home or is around a good portion of the day A securely fenced yard, as we are still working on leash manners, and her nose can override her recall She’s spayed, loving, and absolutely has the makings of an excellent family dog—especially for a family that likes a goofy, cuddly, vocal beagle and is willing to continue her training with patience and positive reinforcement.  Mabel has survived a lot and truly deserves a life that is much better than how it started. Won't you give her a forever home? Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 29, 2026, 1:15 pm
