Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Banjo is a very affectionate boy and a really great cuddler! His foster mom often allows him to sleep in bed with her, but he likes the couch too. He's a fairly mellow fellow and does rest a lot. His foster mom thinks he’s aging backwards and he’s getting more brown in his face.  We are so happy to share that he does NOT have heart issues as we initially suspected! His heart is good and strong but he does have early stage kidney disease and is on a special diet. Banjo Is also currently dealing with some incontinence but is a good sport about wearing his diaper. He really enjoys his walks, typical beagle with nose to the ground smelling everything! Banjo can be excited when first meeting another dog and can also be selective about who he likes. We think he would do best as an only dog but he would probably love a cat as a buddy. He also prefers not to be left alone for very long.  Banjo is looking for someone with a heart for seniors. He could go on sleepover anytime! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 10:38 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snoop is a friendly, joyful dog, and so lovable! When he arrived in Florida despite finding himself in a strange environment, he was immediately happy to greet his foster mom. He has been that way with all the people we have seen him meet. He does not jump up or get carried away; he's just eager to greet the new person and let them love on him. He very much enjoys being petted and his coat is like velvet, and he doesn't mind being snuggled in your lap either. Snoop has been very accepting of the other dogs in his foster home and the dogs that have visited. He shows signs of wanting to play but the senior dogs in his foster home were not interested. His interactions with the cats was a little questionable. With the older cat, Snoop minded his manners. However at first the the younger cat was a frequent temptation to chase and bark at. After a few days he seemed to be more laid back with both cats. House training is coming along but he’s not making straight As yet, and walking on the leash is still a learning opportunity. Snoop is currently fed in his crate and is a typical beagle about food. He would eat any other dog’s food if it was available, but he is not at all aggressive. He does enjoy his toys but seems to be drawn to chewing on cardboard boxes. He is content to hang out at home, but his true joy is running free at the dog park on in the back yard. He would thrive in a family with a lot of activity and room to run as his energy level is probably slightly above moderate. Snoop is heartworm positive and treatment is scheduled. He will be ready for a sleepover mid-May provided his family can observevthe post treatment requirements.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2026, 10:55 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ADOPTION PENDINGSuper bright, alert and ready for good things to happen -- that seems to be Waffles. Abandoned by a Missouri rabbit hunter, he is joyously embracing his new life. Waffles is open and friendly with people and very good natured. He is still young and energetic so will need a family who can provide him with plenty of excercise. Another playful dog and lots of toys might do the trick! He really has a great time playing with other dogs, but probably little fluffy dogs should be avoided as they seem to him too much like rabbits...and no to cats as well. Interestingly for a beagle, Waffles seems to prefer being inside. His foster mom says he learned the back dog door quickly and if she puts him out the front door, he is back inside in just a minute. His house training isn’t perfect yet but he has only recently arrived in his current foster home. Waffles walks fairly well on leash and rides great in the car. He has his meals and sleeps in a crate and is quiet as long as mom is in the room. We are not sure yet how much he might fuss when left alone crated -- that might depend on how much excercise he's been getting.  Waffles is very small and actually needs to gain a couple pounds.  He's cute as a button, heartworm negative and ready for a sleepover!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2026, 10:55 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bruce will let you sleep late!  He lets his foster mom stay in bed until 9 am on the weekends. When he finally wakes up, he wants ear scratches and belly rubs.  Overall his avtivity level is pretty moderate, but every now and then he has bursts of energy and gets the zoomies.  Bruce really loves being with other dogs and they help his confidence a lot. In his foster home he plays Security Chief, keeping tabs on what's going on outside. He is fluent with the doggie door and goes out to sniff around in the backyard. He could use a little leash training. Bruce came to us skinny and fearful and he can still be timid and sensitive to loud noises, fast movements, and new people. Patience and gentleness are the key to his trust. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he'll follow you around the house and even snuggle with you. His foster mom has been crating him when she's away and she lets him sleep on the foot of the bed.  He's quite comfortable in the crate for several hours at a time. Bruce tested positive for heartworms, but has gone through treatment and is doing well. He is housebroken and is anxiously awaiting a sleepover.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2026, 10:55 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Matty's personality is all beagle! He's a friendly boy who was dropped off at a Louisiana shelter as a stray and he is so happy to be in his foster home! Matty wants to hang out with his humans and be a part of whatever is going on. He loves to cuddle and will do anything for food, including stealing it when you aren’t looking. Housetraining is still a work in progress, but improving. He does well in a crate. Once his foster parents started feeding him in his crate and giving him treats there, he was eager to jump right in. He is mostly quiet, even in the crate. He doesn’t bark unless he's helping the other dogs defend the yard, but even then he is not the instigator. And Matty is good with other dogs, even if they bark and growl at him. He isn’t intimidated, he just keeps going. He loves stuffed toys but occasionally he will get hold of something that isn’t a toy. He is still learning that part of being in a house. If you want a true beagle, he is exactly what you're looking for. Matty is heartworm positive but scheduled for treatment in Louisiana mid-March. He is healthy and asymptomatic so we expect him to do well. His transport to Florida can be arranged when we have an available foster home or prospective adopter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2026, 10:55 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ADOPTION PENDINGHarlan is gentle as a lamb...and quiet as a mouse! His personality so far is sweetly submissive and he melts for belly rubs. He came to us from a shelter in Kentucky but we suspect he may have lived inside previously as his housetraining has been excellent.  He seems to prefer being inside and is very comfortable in his crate, but he definitely has a beagle nose and curiosity. Harlan is friendly and playful with other dogs and likes cats too. We have not had him around children but feel he would do well as long as they don't scare him. He was very skinny initially but he loves his food and is filling out nicely. We had the veterinarian do a dental when we was neutered. Harlan is heartworm negative and ready for a sleepover.
