Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Coco (Coco Bean) is shy gentleman. He is blind in one eye and possibly has limited vision in the other eye. Coco would do best in a home with another dog to help with his confidence.  He is a total sweetheart and is still learning to accept love and affection. He wants to be in the same room with his person, and likes to cuddle and sleep on a pilllow.    When company visits, he hides but quickly warms if they don’t make any sudden moves.   Coco loves to go on walks! In fact, he barks with excitement when he knows it is time to go for a walk. He likes to walk in quieter areas because noises can make him nervous.  With love and patience, Coco will develop a deep bond with a person and give them unconditional love. Won't you give this sweet boy a home?    #AdoptDontShop #SeniorDogsRule#BeagleLove #Fosteringsaveslives Adopters age 65 and over who adopt senior dogs (age 8 and older) pay a special adoption fee of $100.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 17, 2026, 9:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Mack — a sweet 10-year-old gentleman with a calm soul and the softest, most easygoing personality. He strolls through life at his own relaxed pace, walks beautifully on leash, and politely waits instead of rushing through doors. Mack is wonderfully gentle and respectful of the world around him. He’s been great around bunnies and goats, showing no barking or chasing — just quiet curiosity. He also does well with other dogs, though he prefers slow, respectful introductions. If another dog comes on too strong too quickly, Mack will let them know he needs a little space. This handsome senior is a slow and polite eater, rides nicely in the car, and absolutely loves relaxing on a cozy dog bed. He’s still working on potty training and has already made great progress. With patience, consistency, and love, Mack will continue to thrive. Mack is looking for a peaceful forever home where he can enjoy the simple things in life — soft beds, gentle walks, kind people, and lots of love. Adopters age 65 and over who adopt senior dogs (age 8 and older) pay a special adoption fee of $100.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 17, 2026, 9:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Canela is a small, energetic beagle mix. She is housetrained and does pretty well in a crate. She loves to run around the yard and she enjoys chew toys. Canela is very protective of her toys; and will guard food. Her foster family is working on learning to trade items and adding structure to her day especially when food is around. Canela does not like being held and will need patience in that regard. Canela is a very high vertical leap (around 5 feet) and her foster family does not leave her outside unsupervised. She is going to do well in a home with activities (like playing and walking), structure, boundaries and training. She is not recommended for a home with small children or cats. Canela was noted to have chased cats when she was returned to the shelter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 17, 2026, 9:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Baro is a 25-pound red-ticked beagle with the sweetest soul and the softest puppy-dog eyes. At around 2 years old, he’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. He can be very shy when meeting new people and prefers gentle, patient introductions. Direct eye contact makes him nervous, so he’ll usually sneak up behind you first for a careful little sniff while he figures you out. Once Baro feels safe, though, his affectionate side absolutely melts hearts. He becomes the cuddliest little shadow who never wants the pets to stop. If you pause, he’ll gently nudge your hand as if to say, “Excuse me… I was not finished being loved.” His favorite thing is snuggling close and falling asleep while holding your hand or arm. Baro has already learned so much in foster care. He is house trained, uses a doggie door like a pro, can climb stairs to hop onto the bed, and loves going for walks. He’s even started taking treats from your hand — a huge milestone for this sensitive boy. He’s nervous about getting into the car, but once he’s inside, he happily enjoys the ride. This adorable little guy does have some funny quirks. He is basically a tiny nighttime raccoon disguised as a beagle. After dinner, he loves collecting blankets, towels, dog beds, toys, pillows, shoes, and anything soft he can carry, proudly dragging his “treasures” out the doggie door. Keeping important items out of reach will help everyone stay happy! He also does not like crates and feels much safer having space to relax on his own terms. Baro absolutely needs another playful, energetic dog in the home. Having dog friends gives him confidence, helps ease his anxiety, and brings out his silly, happy side. He truly wants to be part of a pack. He does well with teenagers, ignores cats, but would not be comfortable in a home with small children. Because certain mobility equipment scares him, he’s also not the best fit for senior households. Baro is looking for a patient, loving family willing to let him settle in at his own pace using the “3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months” rule. In return, you’ll gain the most loyal little cuddle buddy who will love you with his whole heart forever.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 17, 2026, 9:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snoopy D is a 10-year-old sweetheart who is looking for a loving home after the passing of his longtime owner. Despite this big life change, Snoopy D has remained incredibly gentle, affectionate, and easygoing. He absolutely loves cuddles and being close to his people. He gets along well with both people and other dogs. His behavior around cats and small children is unknown. Snoopy D was free-fed for most of his life, which caused him to become quite overweight, but he has adapted wonderfully to a healthier routine of twice-daily meals and regular short walks. He’s already steadily losing weight and enjoying his new lifestyle! Snoopy D is the definition of low-maintenance. He sleeps peacefully through the night in his own bed and spends much of the day happily snoozing nearby. He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm, loving, and easy-to-care-for best friend. Adopters age 65 and over who adopt senior dogs (age 8 and older) pay a special adoption fee of $100.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 17, 2026, 9:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Sweet Boy George is back with us through NO FAULT OF HIS OWN!  When George first came to us, 3 years ago he was very sweet but very anxious.  His adopter has done a wonderful job working with him and his insecurities.  He has also had wonderful care both medical and dental  care .  Sadly, his current owner is moving far away and George cannot make this trip.  So, George is now back with us looking for his forever home.   George loves  everyone .  He is happy to go in the car.  He is house trained and happily  sleeps on a nice cool floor.  He’ll be glad to go for a short walk but prefers AC over Florida heat.   George still has (as per his owner) some insecurities when left alone.  He is likely best in a home with other dogs   and people around a lot.  Kids don’t phase him (he loves all sorts of attention!!) and he has happily lived with cats!  And there is little he won’t do for an extra snack.   If you are looking for a new “best friend” or a rock-solid family dog who thrives in the chaos of a household of people and/or other animals you need to come and meet my buddy, George!!
