Story
Papaya and her two gorgeous pups, Kiwi and Mango, were dumped on the side of the road in Bonne Terre, MO. A sweet family found them and cared for them until they found a Rescue for placement. Kiwi can be a bit shy at first meeting, but she's making progress and coming out of her shell with each and every day! She loves all the TLC from staff and volunteers, she is such a BIG sweetheart. Kiwi is unique with her beautiful markings and adorable ears. She enjoys playing with other dogs and loves her toys. Please call Country Acres Rescue at 636-227-1919 to inquire more about Kiwi and find out how to make her yours!

Mia is 10 month old, beagle/heeler mix, 25lbs. She has come a long way with her foster family and is ready to find her forever home! Mia is potty trained, crate trained and leashed trained. She is also successfully passing her one-on-one obedience training classes! She knows how to sit, lay down, place, stay and is currently working on better recall. Mia is a working breed, so she would love a family with a strong leader that will continue the training and work with her on new goals. She loves her daily walks, training and learns quickly! Story
I rescued Sunny from a camp ground where someone had dumped him off. According to the vet, he is a beagle/lab/hound mix with an approximate birthday of 02/02/2022. He is full grown and weighs 38 pounds. He is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered and house broken. He is super affectionate and has a lot of energy. Would do best in a home with a fenced yard and another dog to play with. He loves people of all ages, but not cats. He will cuddle on your lap for a nap and he can give paw, sit and lay down. He likes to play with his toys and loves to run through the yard chasing squirrels. We are looking to re-home him because we have two cats and, after trying everything, they are just not suited to live in the same house together.

Story
So, Gambit is my name, and like my Marvel/ X-Man character- I have a way to create my own destiny- all is within my own power!!! I have had kind of a sad past but my future's so bright! I was saved from a pretty scary place- living alone in a field, next to the gas station where nice people fed me and tried to save me.... Luckily, one of those nice people was persistent AND resourceful and she played her "pawn" to get me into a trap and got me out of that horrible place! I have been living with her and her doggy (and human) family since, but I am really ready for my own family! Look at my video, I am sure cute (only 28#) and super adoptable! There are a few things you need to know about me, I am a happy go lucky boy- as long as you don't get into my face or try to give me kisses. I am protective of my face so an adult only or very knowledgeable older kids in my home is best. I am also kind of a goofball and I love other dogs. I take time to get to know you and get comfortable in my home, so please do not apply to adopt me unless you understand that I will not be your bestest friend immediately- I am most definitely worth the wait :) I have all kinds of love and loyalty to give you, so I hope to meet you soon!!! I am house and crate trained too- see? young dogs CAN learn new tricks :) Local adoption fee is $200 ( in Texas only)

Story
Hi. I'm Hermosa. My name means darling or beautiful. Boy, did my foster dad know what he was talking about when he gave me that name. You see, I am a beautiful female beagle mix. I was found wandering the streets by my foster dad with my 3 month old son, Pedro. I am approximately 20 pounds and a few years old. I am fairly energetic and love to play and go on walks. Foster dad says I am friendly to everyone I encounter. Foster dad even thinks I would be good with children. I do, however, have a tendency to chase cats. I also have been known to dig in the yard if I am bored and left unattended for long periods of time. I have been a great mother to Pedro but foster dad says those days are over! Foster dad says it may be hard to adopt us together since many folks are looking for a singleton. A girl can dream thought, right? We came into the rescue together after enduring hard times and we would love to leave together. If that isn't possible, we understand but please consider the advantages of having two. Double the pleasure and double the trouble! Enough about Pedro and I. How about you? Are you open to adding some adventure? If so, have your peeps call my peeps and we will get this love fest started. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Hello, friends! My name is Bella! I am a friendly, playful lady looking for my furever home! I was surrendered to 5A by a family who found me as a stray and was gracious enough to open up their home to me while I went through heartworm treatment. I am now heartworm free and ready to have a family of my own! In the play yard, you will find me showing off my best chompies to my friends at 5A and giving lots of snuggles and kisses. I would do great in a home with kids and other dogs and I am housebroken! If you're interested in making me the new addition to your family, fill out an application to schedule a meet and greet with me!
