Hi there! We’re Jack and Jill—your soon‑to‑be favorite chonky duo!We came here together, and we’re sticking together. We’re an older bonded pair, which basically means we’re professional best friends who refuse to be separated.Sure, we’re carrying a few extra pounds… but that just means there’s more of us to love (and more belly for you to rub). We’re champions at leash‑walking, experts at potty training, and total masters at giving you the sweetest, most irresistible “take us home” eyes. Our adoption fee is $100 for both of us—a two‑for‑one special in love, snuggles, and synchronized waddles. If you’ve got room in your heart and home for double the sweetness, we’re ready to roll right into your life!Love,Jack & Jill 🐾💕

Meet Gunner — The Gentle, Shy Sweetheart!Gunner is a Spaniel/Beagle mix with a soft soul and a loving heart. He may be shy at first, but once he trusts you, he becomes one of the kindest, snuggliest boys around. Cuddles and treats are definitely the way to his heart! For treats, Gunner will show off all his manners — he can sit, shake, high‑five, and lie down like a pro. He loves playing with other dogs and is curious (in a good way!) about cats. Gunner truly enjoys being around people and loves being the center of attention once he feels comfortable. He’s potty trained, kennel trained, and absolutely loves going for walks. Young kids make him nervous, so a calmer, older home would be the best fit for him.Why you’ll love Gunner:• Sweet, very loving• Knows multiple commands• Enjoys playing fetch, and carrying ball around• Potty and kennel trained• Loves treats, and exploring on walksGunner is searching for a patient, loving forever home where he can feel safe and shine. Come meet him — he just might steal your heart.

Story
Jackson's Story Meet Jackson Jackson is a handsome and loving Beagle Mix who is currently thriving in his foster home. While he is still getting to know the worldand ushe brings an incredible amount of puppy energy mixed with gentle affection. This boy has all the traits of a true companion dog: playful, curious, and eager to make best friends. Age: 9 months old Breed Mix: Beagle Mix Weight: Approximately 24 pounds Sex: Male Jackson came into our care as a stray intake, so we don't have a full history, but he is doing wonderfully in foster care! He would be available to adopt via the Foster-to-Adopt program. This means you can start spending quality time with him and potentially take him home immediately. Full adoption will finalize once his routine health needs are met (neutering). He is looking for a patient owner who appreciates a fun, playful companion that loves going on adventures. If you are ready to open your heart and home to a sweet boy like Jackson, please fill out an application today!

Story
Kenai hasn't had the fairest hand in life. He was dumped at a literal dump, like he was trash. Then, as if that wasn't enough, Kenai contracted ringworm. Ringworm requires puppies and dogs to spend a longer-than-average quarantine period in the shelter to prevent it from spreading. Unfortunately, that kind of isolation can be especially hard on some dogs. While Kenai's siblings have been able to enjoy the company of other dogs, Kenai can be a little more selective. We consider his behavior dog selective because, at his core, Kenai is afraid of other dogs. If there is another dog in the home, we would recommend a mature, confident companion who won't be too pushy with him. Of course, a meet-and-greet will happen first with any potential dog siblings to make sure everyone is comfortable. Kenai was also very afraid when meeting children. The curious, touchy, quick and quirky nature of little humans is simply not his cup of tea. Older children who understand boundaries and have a calmer demeanor would be a much better fit for this sensitive boy. Kenai needs a home where his people will understand his fear and uncertainty rather than expect him to overcome everything overnight. He needs patience. He needs consistency. Most of all, he needs someone willing to show him that not every human is going to let him down. The world hasn't been very kind to Kenai. But you can be. ❤️ If you're ready to give Kenai the gentle, accepting, loving home he deserves, submit an adoption application for him today.

Story
Pringle is a 3yr old loving goofball that wants to be part of whatever you are doing. He is unbothered by fireworks. He does well with our cat but forgets that he isn't cat sized so he might intimidate timid or shy cats.He does bark at other dogs when on leash but is getting better. He has gotten along with well socialized and well behaved dogs off leash.Pringle might not be a good match with little kids as he can become a 30lb bulldozer when he gets excited.Pringle does have a bite history and that is why we are rehoming. The 2 bite events were not aggressive. They seemed to be defensive and he was pretty upset after the event too. My son is autistic and does not read non-verbal cues well and doesn’t understand personal space. He likely overstepped a boundary. I can give more details during the interview or meet & greet, since I have a limited space here.Pringle has had a few seizures but does not need any medication just an awareness to keep him safe. Last seizure 4/22/26

Story
Kodiak may be the runt of the Alaska litter, but what he lacks in size, he more than makes up for in love. This precious little guy is happiest when he's soaking up attention from people. While he gets along wonderfully with his siblings and other dogs, nothing compares to being the center of someone's affection. You may notice that Kodiak's left ear looks a little different in some of his photos. He came to us with an ear hematoma, which has left his ear looking a bit crinkled. This ear does not cause him any pain. It just gives him a quirky little cosmetic detail. Kodiak and his Alaska-themed siblings were found abandoned at a dump, but those difficult days are behind them. Now, this sweet Beagle/Shepherd mix puppy is safe at The Humane Society of Oldham County, where he's waiting for the family he's always deserved. Like all HSOC puppies, Kodiak's adoption fee includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives, and FREE puppy training. If you're looking for a tiny best friend with a huge heart, Kodiak is ready to meet you. Submit an adoption application today to schedule your visit with this lovable little guy!
