Story
Sitka is the only little lady in the Alaska litter, and she has no problem making sure everyone knows it! With her adorable pointy ears and big personality, Sitka is impossible to overlook. She's quite the chatterbox and loves to "talk back." If you're looking for a puppy who will keep you company *and* carry on a conversation, Sitka is your girl. At 4 months old and around 18 pounds, Sitka is a Beagle/Shepherd mix who's already showing off the intelligence both breeds are known for. She's curious, playful, and eager to explore the world, making her a wonderful companion for just about any family ready for the joys of puppyhood. Sitka and her brothers were found abandoned at a dump, but you would never guess it by their friendly, outgoing personalities. Despite their rough start, these puppies have remained incredibly loving, social, and excited to meet new people. Like all HSOC puppies, Sitka's adoption fee includes her spay, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives, and FREE puppy training. If you've been searching for the perfect puppy, don't miss your chance to meet Sitka or one of her Alaska-themed brothers. Submit an adoption application today to schedule a meet-and-greet with these adorable pups!

Story
Pringle is a 3yr old loving goofball that wants to be part of whatever you are doing. He is unbothered by fireworks. He does well with our cat but forgets that he isn't cat sized so he might intimidate timid or shy cats.He does bark at other dogs when on leash but is getting better. He has gotten along with well socialized and well behaved dogs off leash.Pringle might not be a good match with little kids as he can become a 30lb bulldozer when he gets excited.Pringle does have a bite history and that is why we are rehoming. The 2 bite events were not aggressive. They seemed to be defensive and he was pretty upset after the event too. My son is autistic and does not read non-verbal cues well and doesn’t understand personal space. He likely overstepped a boundary. I can give more details during the interview or meet & greet, since I have a limited space here.Pringle has had a few seizures but does not need any medication just an awareness to keep him safe. Last seizure 4/22/26

LaGrange, KY
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Much like his namesake, Denali stands tall and proud. In his mind, he's the mightiest of all his siblings! When he first arrived, he was a bit of a bully, determined to prove he was the boss. Thankfully, Denali has realized there's plenty of love, food, toys, and attention to go around, and he's happily embraced his role as one of the nice guys. At just 4 months old and around 20 pounds, Denali is a Beagle/Shepherd mix with a lifetime of adventures ahead of him. He is well loved and safe here at The Humane Society of Oldham County, but while the shelter is certainly better than the dump where he and his siblings were found, it will never compare to life with a forever family. Denali is sweet, playful, and ready to make new memories with his lucky forever family. Whether it's learning new things, seeing the people he loves, exploring the yard, or curling up after a long day of puppy energy, he's excited to be your best friend every step of the way. His adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccinations, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives, and free puppy training to help him get off to the best possible start. If you've been searching for a sweet, playful puppy to complete your family, Denali is ready and waiting to meet you!

Kodiak

Beagle Shepherd (Unknown Type)

Male, 4 mos
LaGrange, KY
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Kodiak may be the runt of the Alaska litter, but what he lacks in size, he more than makes up for in love. This precious little guy is happiest when he's soaking up attention from people. While he gets along wonderfully with his siblings and other dogs, nothing compares to being the center of someone's affection. You may notice that Kodiak's left ear looks a little different in some of his photos. He came to us with an ear hematoma, which has left his ear looking a bit crinkled. This ear does not cause him any pain. It just gives him a quirky little cosmetic detail. Kodiak and his Alaska-themed siblings were found abandoned at a dump, but those difficult days are behind them. Now, this sweet Beagle/Shepherd mix puppy is safe at The Humane Society of Oldham County, where he's waiting for the family he's always deserved. Like all HSOC puppies, Kodiak's adoption fee includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives, and FREE puppy training. If you're looking for a tiny best friend with a huge heart, Kodiak is ready to meet you. Submit an adoption application today to schedule your visit with this lovable little guy!
