Story
Ryder was saved after his owner threatened to shoot him for not being a good hunting dog. We had planned to keep him as a buddy for our beagle (our other passed away), however with the number of dogs in our rescue, it is only fair to Ryder to have a home of his own. He is a wonderful dog with typical beagle behavior. He was abused so I would not suggest small children or children who do not understand to pet softly. He loves to be loved on and is understanding that he is safe now. He is not a hunting dog and needs to be indoor. He is full-blooded but he did not come with papers (if that is important).

While he’s friendly and gentle, he’s understandably scared and needs time to build trust and confidence in new situations. Once Santa Baby starts to feel comfortable, his sweet personality begins to shine—especially if treats are involved!True to his Beagle nature, he absolutely loves to sniff and explore everything around him. He seems fairly independent, doesn’t mind the company of other dogs, and would do well with a calm canine friend. Santa Baby would thrive best in an active home that understands his need for exercise, enrichment, and gentle reassurance. With consistency, love, and plenty of adventures, this handsome guy has all the potential to become a loyal and happy companion.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. I adopted Louise and have become allergic to her. She gets along with certain dogs very lovable. She’s potty trained. She’s a senior with arthritis which her meds are $75 month. I will provide the 1st month. The adoption center will take her back but I feel she would have better care outside of that. She’s a great dog

Smudge is 11 years old and belonged to my mother who has had a stroke, and is now permanently in a nursing home. I am allergic to dogs and my husband and I both work around 12 hours a day, so we cannot properly attend to his needs. He is very loving and just needs a proper home.
