You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Annie is approximately a one and a half year-old beagle/hound mix who is looking for a new home! She came to us as a stray from a local shelter. She is a very sweet and active dog who loves to run and play! She will need a home with a fenced in yard. Annie follows the other dogs in the foster home to go outside and potty, and she does very good in a crate when her foster family is not home. She has not been tested around cats but does great with all of the other dogs in the house. She is spayed and up-to-date on all of her shots and ready for a new home. Her adoption fee is $300.She weighs approximately 40 pounds. Annie is currently being fostered in the Dayton area! If you are interested in Annie your first step is to fill out the adoption application on our website at ohiobassetrescue.com. Once you are approved or if you have already been approved in the past six months shoot us an email with your approval password and contact information at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Happy, Affectionate, Playful 3 year old, Black/White Beagle/Bassett mix. She has not been exposed to young children but loves older children. We got her when she was 6 weeks old and have her ever since. She is very loving, affection and loves attention. We have to ReHome her because my husband and I are Seniors and have health issues. We have to move and cannot take her with us. I'm looking for a family that has love for her and can give her a loving, happy home. She will make you happy and I'm hoping you will make her happy. She hasn't been exposed to cats but she likes to bark at them. She's a little rough around the edges but can be worked with. She knows "Sit. Down. Off. Outside. Cookie." Once she adjustes to you, she will be your loyal friend and protector forever.

Hi I'm Merlin! I'm a little shy but once you get to know me I'm as sweet as can be. I'm around 6 years old and 45 lbs, and I would do best with a simple, routine life without too much excitement. In fact, I could spend almost all day on the couch with my head on your shoulder. I am vision impaired but once you help me learn where everything is, I do just fine navigating on my own- I'm even crate trained and enjoy having a crate as my "home base". I am perfect with cats and dogs, and would really love a dog friend to help me continue building my confidence. I do need a fenced in yard at my forever home, being on leash is tough for me until I feel super safe and secure. If you're a homebody with a little bit of patience and a gentle soul, I would be the perfect companion for you and I am sure to give you all the love you'll ever need.   All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. Meet Daisa Daisa is absolute perfection. She’s 4-5 years old, 30-35lbs and we seriously cannot find a flaw. She’s good with dogs, fabulous with cats and even gets along with the tiny human (that won’t leave her alone). She’s leash, crate (but hasn’t been destruct) and potty trained. Daisa knows “sit” and will gladly shake for a treat. She’s the perfect dog for virtually any lifestyle; she’s easy going and low maintenance but always down for an adventure if you are. Daisa is affectionate and cuddly but respectful of personal space …if she must be but she does love to give kisses!! Daisa really enjoys having her dog buddies that she’ll play with when she gets an occasional burst of energy (she’d play with the cat if it would let her!). We give her 5 stars and we know you will too! This adventurous outdoor dog is on a journey of learning leash and house training. While he may be a bit shy and less socialized, his gentle spirit truly shines through. He loves to explore, although he can feel a bit uncertain when he's in a tight spot. With a little patience and understanding, he has so much potential to blossom! ADOPTION FEE: LOCAL FREE NON-LOCAL FREE All dogs receive at least 1 distemper/parvo and Bordetella vaccine. If possible a heartworm test will be done and if negative the dog will be started on heartworm prevention. All animals receive a flea and parasite prevention/treatment and will be microchipped. All animals can go home the same day as adoption. We will need your photo ID and you will sign some documents. Adopters will also receive a copy of the animal's medical history to date. We do not do an application process. All adoptions are first come, first serve. We do not offer holds. We do not require in most cases that adopters bring all their families members and dogs for a meet and greet. But we do highly encourage it. We are happy to introduce the new dog to your dog(s) at the shelter. No appointment necessary. We do offer home trials of dogs over 6 months of age for about a week. You will not need to pay the adoption fee (spay neuter deposit) ahead of time, but if you decide to adopt you will need to return to the shelter to complete the paperwork and pay the adoption deposit. If you do not wish to complete the adoption, you can bring the dog back at any time during normal business hours during your home trial period. We do not allow after hours drop off.
