Story
🐾 Meet Buster
Buster is only 13 weeks old, but this sweet little Beagle/Terrier mix has already figured out one very important thing about life: people are GREAT. ❤️
Within his first day in foster care, Buster met all kinds of new people—and loved every single one of them. He’s an outgoing, affectionate little guy who seems pretty convinced that strangers are simply friends he hasn’t met yet.
Dogs are pretty great, too! Buster enjoys canine company and has been friendly and social with the dogs he’s met.
When he’s not busy making friends, Buster is very good at another essential puppy activity: napping. 😴
He slept quietly through the entire night in his crate, cuddled up with his stuffed animals. He’s also been remarkably easygoing about going into his kennel, with very little fuss. In fact, Buster has been a surprisingly quiet puppy so far—although at 13 weeks old, we suspect he may eventually discover that Beagles and Terriers are both perfectly capable of having opinions. 😄
Buster is already doing well on leash and doesn’t mind wearing his collar. He loves chewing on his bones, cuddling on the couch, and hanging out with his people. Stairs are still a little intimidating, but there’s a big world to figure out when you’ve only been exploring it for 13 weeks!
Potty training is a work in progress, as you’d expect for a puppy his age, but Buster is off to a promising start. He consistently takes care of business quickly when he goes outside, so his new family will simply need to continue helping him build a reliable routine.
Cats are still unknown territory. Buster hasn’t had enough experience with them yet for us to confidently predict how he’ll do, so we’ll leave that introduction for another day rather than make promises on his behalf.
What Buster has already shown us is a smart, sweet, people-loving puppy who enjoys other dogs, settles nicely in his crate, and is eager to experience everything that comes next.
He’ll need all the things every puppy needs—patience, consistency, training, playtime, plenty of appropriate things to chew, and a family ready to help him grow into the wonderful adult dog he’s already well on his way to becoming.
If your home has an opening for one very sweet little guy with stuffed animals to cuddle, people to meet, and a whole lifetime of adventures ahead of him, Buster is ready. 🐶❤️🐾
