Story
Bo Jackson is a very good dog and I wish I didn’t have to sell him but I have come to busy to give him the life he deserves and feel to bad leaving him in his kennel all day. He is recently potty trained and hasn’t had an accident inside for a couple weeks now. I adopted him from Lawrence humane society and have all of his information in a folder. He hardly ever barks unless left in his kennel for to long. I have a kennel and dog bowls for him aswell

Story
Meet Daisy Mae, the quintessential cuddle buddy and resident goofball. Known for her quiet demeanor, Daisy Mae is the perfect companion for cozy evenings on the couch: she’s always ready for a snuggle with her humans or other dogs. Although she gets along well with other dogs, this sweet girl prefers furry friends who match her energy. Around high energy dogs, she may be uncomfortable and start growling. If you’re looking for a loyal friend to bring happiness and joy to your home, Daisy Mae is your ideal match. She's potty trained, crate trained, and excited to meet you! To meet her, fill out an application at waalrescue.org/adopt.

Story
Meet Valerie At just 9 months old and 33 pounds, Valerie is still very much a puppy with so much love to give. This sweet girl is incredibly affectionate, loves to cuddle, and never misses an opportunity to hand out gentle kisses. She’s also dog-friendly and cat-friendly, making her a wonderful addition to many homes. Valerie is still building her confidence. Loud noises can make her a little nervous, she’s learning to walk confidently on a leash, and she’s continuing to work on her potty training. She was doing well with house training in her previous home, and we believe she’ll thrive with a patient family, a consistent routine, and ideally a fenced yard, where she can feel safe while continuing to learn. What Valerie needs most isn’t someone looking for a perfect dog—she needs someone who sees her potential and is willing to help her grow. Watching a timid puppy blossom into a confident, happy companion is one of the most rewarding experiences, and Valerie is ready for that chance. Could you be the person who shows Valerie that the world isn’t so scary after all? ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the right match. All of our dogs are adoption-ready and come: •️ Spayed or neutered •️ Heartworm tested •️ Dewormed •️ Up-to-date on prevention medications •️ Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines •️ Microchipped •️ With a coupon for a free Simply Dub collar from Dubdog Designs

Story
Updated: My name is Hank. I was born in Illinois on 4/11/2021. I'm 5 yrs old. My Mom moved me and my brother from IL to KS last year. The move has been hard on me.At our old house I had a doggie door and a big yard so I could go in and out when I wanted. Now we are in what Mom says is an apartment. She takes us outside, but not enough for me. I'm energetic and want to go out more and explore.I love walks but I have to check my "pee mails" from the ladies around so I sniff a lot. I love adventures so if you go hiking I'm your man.I snuggle in Mom's lap, and sleep next to her. I want to be the center of attention now, so Mom says I'll do better being the only dog in the house.I'm potty trained, and I was trained on sit, down, stay, but since moving I'm being stubborn. The small kids in the area come and pet me but sometimes they scare me cuz they run at me so Mom doesn't know how I'll do with small children daily.I would love a big fenced in yard again so I can chase the squirrels.

Story
Meet Fiona: your cardio coach, lifeguard, and chaos coordinator in one compact Beagle mix. Energy level: nuclear. If you’re looking for a chill Netflix buddy, keep scrolling. Fiona wakes up like she’s late for the Olympics and stays there all day. (Although she does love nighttime snuggles.) Non‑negotiable roommates: other large, sturdy dogs who enjoy full‑contact WWE cosplay. Small dogs and delicate egos need not apply. Hobbies: cannonballing into any body of water, re‑arranging your throw pillows via zoomies, and inventing new wrestling moves with names we can’t print. Skills: parkour, mud facials, selective hearing, and turning your tidy yard into a training montage. People: loves you but loves tag‑team smackdowns more. Think “camp counselor who skipped nap time forever.” She loves all people, but probably no little kids unless they aren't your favorites because she'll happily bowl them over on her way to play. Cats, pocket pets, breakable heirlooms: probably safer without her professional enthusiasm nearby. Yard: fenced, tall, and preferably with a splash zone. A kiddie pool is her love language. Exercise: two-a-day workouts, enrichment, and a canine sparring partner who also thinks “tired” is a myth. Fiona is that friend who texts “let’s do something dumb” and then brings a slip ’n slide. She’s brilliant, hilarious, and a lot — the good kind, if you’re into endorphins and wet dogs. She’s been “a little too much” for approximately everyone, which is why she’s somehow still single. If your home features: -at least one large, playful dog who body‑slams for fun, -a calendar with “run, swim, wrestle, repeat,” then congratulations: you might be Fiona’s unicorn. Apply today and achieve what many have attempted and none have completed: successfully adopting Fiona. Bring towels. And a hype dog. Half of her adoption fee has been sponsored thanks to an incredible donor!
