Meet Oliver Tate! This little guy was placed on the euthanasia list after he was paralyzed from being hit by a car. He has been with his foster for a while now and she says his injuries don't slow him down one bit! He is a 20 pound speed-demon in his wheelchair and loves chasing his fur siblings and trying to catch bunnies around the yard! He loves to hide his toys and snuggle up on your lap. He is a very smart boy. Oliver Tate does need to be expressed to go peepee but is very good about it, he's a little guy so it's not hard at all! Are you in need of a pet that never wants to leave your side? Do you work from home or are retired? Let me introduce Baron. He is a Beagle mix around 3 years old, neutered, chipped, and worm free. A portion of his ear is missing from his past as a stray. He has never met another animal he didn't like and is good with children. He lives with 3 cats and didn't harm baby rabbits in our yard. He has never bit. He is vocal in small whines and happy groans from a good scratch behind the ear, but does not bay unless he is especially distressed. He is housetrained as long as he has a routine. Additionally, he knows sit, stay, and come. Unfortunately, he requires a lot of attention and a rigid structure. My fiance and I are both busy people and we struggle to provide him the life he deserves. That's why we have made the decision to find him a home where he'll have a life worth living. Emmie is the sweetest girl who is looking to live out her golden years with her forever family. She loves being around people and really enjoys being held in her foster mom's arms. She is potty trained and has a great appetite! She sleeps all night long with her foster mom. While Emmie absolutely adores the company of humans, she is not a fan of other dogs and would likely do best as an only dog. She tends to ignore cats. Emmie absolutely loves to be with her person and her ideal home would be with someone who is retired or works from home.

We are a matched based adoption agency, if you see a dog in our program in which you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org and one of our adoptions counselors will be in touch once your application has been screened. Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption. Age: 1 year Weight: 30 lbs Meet Skittles! Skittles came to the PAWS program as a dumped dog with not one but TWO cherry eyes! Her vision was blocked and she was so uncertain of the world. We quickly got Skittles in to surgery to remove those, and now she can see better AND she is loving life. Skittles is a very friendly girl with lots of energy and would be a great fit for an active home. She loves to play and goes out in play groups daily with dogs of all sizes. She bonds fiercely to her people and is the biggest snuggle bug, but can be shy with kids so older kiddos are preferred for her future family. She is very athletic and able to clear fences, so she will need to be monitored in the yard in her new home.
