Benny is a very sweet, and friendly boy. He enjoys meeting people, happy to be involved in anything you do. The kitchen is especially enjoyable when preparing meals, always optimistic a little snack might be shared. This boy is food motivated! He is always up for a little training session when the treats come out. He can sit/lie down. He has been very good on his house manners, letting us know if he has to go out. Benny has been introduced to cats, horses and chickens without much excitement. He has had another canine family member in his previous home, as well as making dog friends in his foster home. Benny would love to find a family where he can be included in activities, even if it's snuggle time while watching a movie. This boy is kind, and wants to be loved, and share his love in return. He is looking forward to someone making 2026 his happy new year! Adoption Process: - Step 1: Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application - One of our team members will get back to you via phone. - Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding - Adoption fee helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip. -We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports. Looking for a perfect home for this fella. Kiko is an indoor pet with a big heart for chasing bunnies and squirrels. Needs a fenced yard to play. We think he is a deer beagle. 3years old current shots and neutered. Kiko is potty pad trained and kind of spoiled. Adding that this guy is skiddish around other animals though he is fine with his shih tzu brother. He also seems to dislike hats and barks at his human dad until he gets a treat. Looking for an experienced pet owner only, with a fenced in yard.

She's a soft, gentle girl, only seven months old and 32 pounds, who would love a family to call her own. Maeve will need patient folks who will give her some time to warm up to them, but she'll reward you with so much love and plenty of hound snuffles.
